1_beastYour the best 4Ringz...If the past dont matter, why do they keep records? You look to have a fine team this year. Week 3 could be ugly...but then again...thats why we play the games.
Good Luck -
THE4RINGZIf this year's game.is half as exciting as last years, WHOA NELLY.

Red RumHOLY SH_T!!!! What happened to the Beast of JJ Huddle fame, all teeth & claws?
Now over here on OC I find a RINGZ-BEAST lovefest !!
Will there be more reach arounds than touchdowns in week 3?
Get the purses off your shoulders, quit watching Will & Grace reruns and toughen up!
IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON !!!!!!!
Enough with that, the Huskies, most of whom aren't tall enough to ride the coasters at Cedar Point are going to take no prisoners tonight, Cougar kneecaps will be sore. The blue & gray may be small but they will stand tall!!!
Go Huskies
I'm off to Olivesburg...over & out -
1_beastRed Rum...for a change ...you may be right......The Bears are going swamp stompin....starting tonight in the marshes of Zoar......Culminating in a Shreve Swamp Stomp 2 weeks later......its gonna get ugly. You want teeth and claws...LOOKOUT

Havin FunBears - Tusky game was fun but Tusky was the better team tonight. Strong QB play and some team speed should help TV to have a winning season. Other than staring into a blinding sun the first quarter, giving up 19 points and not being able to move the ball, the Bears played much better the final three quarters. This game should have been much closer than 28-13.
Bears defense really settled in and played well the final three quarters. Bears scored on a long kick return by Carpenter and I think a QB run by Stanley. RB's for Waynedale looked good as well as Williams at receiver. If the Bears get their QB back and can stay healthy they can have a nice season. -
THE4RINGZI have seen TV play the past few years and they are a team perched to have a great year. Their JV team last year was the second best JV team I saw play.
-
Havin FunYou are right 4ringz. If I am the Bears I am not hanging my head. This could be a playoff team for TV. The Bears can run the ball and with a senior QB back at the helm should make some noise as well. The WCAL is going to be a blast this year.

Let's not go overboard with the TV praise. They are a good team, but their league schedule could prevent them from making the play offs. Their league had three teams who made the play offs last year and return some studs. You are right 4ringz. If I am the Bears I am not hanging my head. This could be a playoff team for TV. The Bears can run the ball and with a senior QB back at the helm should make some noise as well. The WCAL is going to be a blast this year.
Regardless kudos to Waynedale for scheduling up in their non conference games. Tough games in weeks 1-3 only prepare you for the meatgrinder which is the WCAL. -
dhs22pDogs played very well tonight. The final was 34-21 but it was not that close. Garaway scored 2 times on the Dalton JV. Hackett had himself a game. TD runs of 30, 60, and 80. Blevins also had 53 yard Td run. Looking forward to the Tuslaw game!
-
THE4RINGZTuslaw looked like a beast tonight. Good luck Dawgs.
-
THE4RINGZDoes anyone have final score updates? Looking for NWN, NW, and Rittman scores.

Red RumHuskies get put to the sword 28-8. Northwesterns scrappy defense held up for the first 3 quarters but was finally worn down. The "O" looked poor at best and was unable to capitalize on several Crestview turnovers. 2 missed FGs and a touchdown being called back pretty much put the nail in the coffin as the Cougars pulled away in the 4th quarter.
No excuses, the better team won and the Blue & Gray must pull it together for backyard rival Black River next week. -
WCLfanRittman - 43
Cont. Valley - 0
Norwayne - 7
Wellington - 6
Crestview - 28
Northwestern - 8 -
1486wdhad to say I was surprised at how Dalton played after halftime, I expected them to wear down but it was actually the deeper Garaway team that looked tired. The pirate defense looked pretty good in the second quarter, then tired. Blevins punished a couple Garaway defenders on inside runs and derek miller was a beast on the d-line. Hackett didn't have a real good day throwing the ball (threw high all night), but he made up for it on the ground with some great runs. Good first win. Heard on the radio that dalton has now won 11 of 12 from garaway in the series.
-
Havin FunThings played out pretty much as I expected in week #1 other than NW. With the first three games you really never know what you have. Some decent teams in the league may be 0-3 just because of their schedules. Rittman definately did not schedule up and won't get their first test until Week 4. Any scores for Hillsdale and Chippewa?
-
mompovDalton needs work on the pass rush, Garaways qb often had hours to find his man and get rid of the ball. But that'll come.
If Smithville scored on Tuslaw I'm not too worried. Bulldogs d needs to come up strong against the mustangs though.
Here's hoping they leave the inflatible home this week. -
thePITmanNorton 33, Doylestown Chippewa 22
Jeromesville Hillsdale 48, Ashland Mapleton 14
This is going to be a fun year in the WCAL! -
1486wdit was good for dalton to start off with a spread team like garaway getting ready for tuslaw next week. The pirates also had a shifty back as well. Tuslaw will be a much stiffer test. Derek Miller did get good pressure on the qb, but the other three need to step it up a little for next week. Tuslaw also probably has a bad taste in their mouth after the bulldogs handles them last year. Both sides should be motivated. the biggest keys to the game next week are whether tuslaw's numbers will be able to tire dalton out and if they can harass the tuslaw qb a little . I do expect hackett to throw a little better as well - he threw decent in the scrimmages.
-
dhs22pLots of interesting games in week 2. Dalton-Tuslaw, Hillsdale-st johns, Smithville-Mogadore.

I WAS TOLD THEY WAS HOPING BY SMITH. OR HILLSDALE GM. I TALK 2 TRAVIS HE WAS SUPPOSE 2 START WALKING ON IT TODAY1486wd;463341 wrote:beverboy, I hope your info is better than mine (I was told 3-4 months). Would be great to have him back for league play.
One thing I do have to say is, I was very surprised they had the huskies picked as low as they did. Not sure if that was a function of mckean being hurt or what. They finished the year strong and return a lot. -

I like our matchup out of the other two.......
GO BULLDOGS!! -
Red RumA week into the season and the WCAL comes in at 4-4, not exactly the markings of a strong league. The biggest news in my opinion was Smithville getting spanked...PAC continues to dominate WCAL. Does anybody know what the all time win/loss record between the PAC & WCAL? I figure the PAC has a significant lead but have been to lazy to do the leg work.
Northwestern should bounce back this week. Crestview will probably play in week 11 as they returned 6 all area performers and 6 additonal lettermen from last seasons playoff team. Black River was beating the playoff drums in pre-season but after a 34-7 defeat at the hands of Western Reserve, its gone quiet. Huskies/Pirates will be a gut check for both teams.
Norwayne will get tested this week. The Elyria Chronicle basically said Wellington would be in the midst of rebuilding in 2010, so it kind of takes the shine off the Bobcats 7-6 victory. CVCA will be looking for revenge and they may well get it.
Waynedale will have to strap'em up tight again as Danville walloped 2009 playoff team Grove City Christian 46-0. The Tusky Valley game should have given Zuercher an idea of where the Bears need to get better. Hopefully they will because Danville won't be a walkover.
Dalton/Tuslaw-can't say much that hasn't already been said on the other thread. My heart is with the WCAL, my wallet is with the PAC.
Can Hillsdale hang with perennial D6 state power Delphos St. Johns? We'll see. It's already more exciting than last years Hillsdale/Lucas matchup.
Both Rittman and Chippewa have a chance to win and I'm hoping at least one of them does.
I hope I'm wrong but the WCAL will be lucky to match last weeks record of 4-4.
