Indian Creek 2010

outdoorsmanI feel the same way. A win next week is a must and then its ST.C , followed by Ferry. Some how, some way, Creek needs to steal a win. I would think Ferry, but its a tall dream. The loss to Oak Glen hurt, but Oak Glen is a team that is getting better every week and may go deep in WV playoffs.
-
DarkonI have not seen Creek this year but it sounds like they are having trouble scoring. Seem to move the ball but can't finish. Solve this and they can beat Ferry or St.C.
Defense sounds solid and have not given up alot of points. -
DarkonEdison lost to Ferry but they really hurt themselves with 3 first half turnovers. They missed a scoring chance with a dropped pass in the endzone and Ferry responded with a drive and score.
I don't think this Ferry team is as good as the past few years. -
ThinthickbigredOk I got your rundown here . This is what you need and what should happen looked at all the schedules.
Weirton you need to win against Central and Tyler Consolidated . They will not get more than 2 wins if that. John Hay should win against 2 more D-I teams a D-2 team and a D-3 team and end up 6-4 alot of points here . Edison should have 7 wins coming into week 10 and you guys fighting it out for the playoffs . Bellaire may get 2 more wins against Steub Central and Union Local to end up 4-6 . You need those games . Harrison Central should end up 5-5 with wins against Union local bellaire so take your pick with UL and Bellaire cant take win both times give it to UL and Bellaire is 3-7.. Figure it out . evertime a nonconfrence foe that you beat beats an outsider benifits you -
Thinthickbigred7-3 and I think your in . If you pull off a upset than no problem but you still have to take care of the others . cant let another Oak Glen beat you
-
war_admiralBuckeye Local could be a trap game. It's away Vs. a team that has not won a game....this is the biggest game so far for IC. Ferrys away, and St C, HC and Edison you got at home. I think 7-3 is wishful thinking. I think IC might pull a repeat of last season 6-4 or 5-5.
I think Edison schedule lines up better for 7-3 then IC. Edison will be able to tell more after this weeks game with HC. -

Edison's schedule may line up better but we Edison fans know better than to get our hopes to high. If they go 7-3 I think it will be tough to get in with the strength of schedule. 8-2 and they are OK(I hope LOL)
It's just nice to see them competing well. -
d.woods50fan.For IC to make the playoffs they MUST beat ST. C and Martins Ferry, if not they will be out. I like Edisons chances better right now.

I agree with you I can see Edison winning 8 games even . If they upset St C this year they could go 9-1. If IC just loses to St C and Ferry then the Edison game I think will be a playoff team . I do believe IC will know go 6-4 or 5-5 Buckeye may beat them and Edison and St C and maybe Harrison. But Im just giving what ifs.war_admiral;489129 wrote:Buckeye Local could be a trap game. I think St C is just excited this year about having they're place redone and football is fun this year . I doubt they are really good so if IC pulls a upset here it will get very cloudy . Alot of what ifs. Its funny how evenly matched these teams are in that league . -

Creek is not strong enough to win both.To beat Ferry, they would have to play a near perfect game, with no turn overs. -
Thinthickbigred
If they beat one or the other they would definitly be in and may even host . they would end up around 5 or even 4 seed . John Hay is going to bring a ton of points.d.woods50fan.;489361 wrote:For IC to make the playoffs they MUST beat ST. C and Martins Ferry, if not they will be out. ThinthickbigredIf IC went 8-2 and only lost to ferry or St c they would definitly host IMO looking at all the schedules

sonofsamThe rundown is basically this... We needed to beat ALL of our non-conference teams and we failed to do so. The Oak Glen game (or lack there of on our part) really hurt us. It would have been better if we lost to Weir or John Hay... We need to win 5 of the next 6 games to get into the post season... Which means we have to beat St.C. or Ferry and win out on the rest. Personally I would like to win them all, but St.C. and Ferry are going to give us all we can handle. We are making TOO MANY penalties on offense and not finishing our drives. We have stalled close to 10 drives in the last 3 games when we have been inside the 20/30. The challenge is this... Can the Seniors lead this team and bring the younger players with them? I have been absolutely baffled by what I have seen over the past few games. Instead of getting better, we are falling off a ledge. We barely got by UL who ran basically the same play to the same receiver all night. Step it up Creek, your better than this and you need to get the respect you deserve...
-
Thinthickbigred7-3 and you guys are in probably 7 or 8 seed . If you knock off St C or Ferry you will jump to 4th or 5th . However I do think this is all a moot point and no disrespect intended You probably will lose to Buckeye this week
-
outdoorsmanSOS, I am not sure I agree with you on a loss to Hay. We will get and are getting some very nice points from them.

Creek is the better team.
If we lose, it will be because we blew it. We have not begun to play are best football yet. -

Heck, even if John Hay goes 5-5 they would be a harbin cow for IC. Unless IC pulls off some upsets, this would be the team in which IC hangs their helmets on. Very good post by thinthickbigred and outdoorsman. -

You should beat them this year . It is down there and it may be a toss up . Dont know how theyre star back is . If he is out or is he playing . That confrence is just crazy Bellaire loses by 50 to Wheeling Central then beat Buckeye local . Martins ferry just gets by Buckeye and is unbeaten . Every week somebody gets upset . You guys must apply pressure on St C . This game with Buckeye is huge. -
MANAZECreek can do it and needs to do it. Its been to long. Creek has the talent the coaches just need to find a way to make it work.
-
d.woods50fan.John Hay is providing no points for creek. The teams they beat have a combined 1 win, so unless they beat Glenville ... nothing. Hers why i say they MUST beat bot St C and MF. Last year IC's big win was against Buckeye which carried a lot of points and still finished 9th. So if they get 2 big wins (STC,MF) then there will be lots of points.
-
Bigred1995
That's actually not true. They may not be getting second level point from them (so if they end up in a tie it may be a factor), but they are indeed getting points! John Hay beat a Div. I & II team so those are the level of points IC will be getting from beating John Hay! John Hay, on the other hand is not getting any points from the teams they beat.d.woods50fan.;491968 wrote:John Hay is providing no points for creek. Of the 16 second level points Crick has, John Hay is responsible for 11.5. They will continue to earn points from them as long as they win. -
ThinthickbigredLooking at John Hay schedule . Midpark and Berea play each other they are D-1 they both will win a few games . all the other city school most of which are D-1 play each other . John Hay if they win 6 games which I predict will be worth close to the most points than any other victory IC might get including Ferry or St C. . This topic will heat up the next 3 weeks if IC beats Buckeye . If they lose to Buckeye all bets are off . another long winter for IC but if they win that game and still lose to St C and Ferry ,its still open unless they lose one of the last 3 games to HC Bellaire or Edison .
-
d.woods50fan.If IC is counting on John Hay to help them get into the playoffs then IC is in a world of trouble!
-
ThinthickbigredNot trying to be contrary fellow Big Red guy but scheduling a Cleveland ,Akron or Youngstown city school that is decent in there league is very smart scheduling . Big Red did it for years before they expanded the field . We always had big city school from Cleveland , Youngstown and Columbus on our schedule . If I were AD at IC Id try and get two average city schools on that they have a chance to beat . John Hay almost won . I say Akron East , or maybe Columbus West , somebody like that .
