What the heck you talking about. My post was constructive and on point. Tough digging out of a 21 point hole. The unsportsmanlike on certain kid(s) was VERY surprising. I have NEVER seen that type of behavior out of at least the one (on the wrestling mat).

P.S. Too easy. I KNEW you couldn't stay away. A little bait and you were hooked.

I guess we'll see. I saw a potential win last night, then Triway jumped out 21-0 in the first quarter. Was pretty even after that. Bears won the turnovers, but lacked in discipline and not so clean play in racking up 8 penalties. A few were not good and I was disappointed in the kids that commttied the fouls.
Jimmie's and Joe"s NOT the X's and O's, think I heard that before, beast I'm scathing my head??? Where have I heard that from??????????

LOL MamaBear!!! That used to be the theme for my Falcons! Fans actually came only to watch the band at halftime. Now we have have 60 plus kids playing football and 30 band members... How things have changed in Falcon country.

Smithville gave up one big play after the other last night!!!! Smithies secondary needs LOTS of work or it will a bad second half to the season!! Most county teams have a good passing game and Smithville needs to work on it too! Smithies have a decent ground game but not much passing to go with it. It was a close game til the second half and then the Huskies kicked it into high gear! Falcons and Huskies seem to be setting the pace this year! Still a lot of ball games to go and it will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Hogger, how did this change come about?
  • WCLfan
Smithies secondary was non existent! Huskies could've scored 60+ if they wanted to last night. Smithville secondary wasn't top notch to begin with but the loss of Cole Smith for the year and Shane not playing in the 2nd half last night just went from bad to worse! If the Smithies wanna see more W's, the ground game will have to keep the ball out of the other teams hands and finish drives! Any team with a heartbeat at QB will put up big numbers when facing Smithville.. And the Smithies don't have the big play capability on offense to match those numbers.

Wasnt at the game last night, can someone tell me is Hillsdale THAT good? I also saw Triway got waxed by Manchester. Wow some interesting scores. For now it looks like 6 teams coud contend. Another balanced year in the WCAL.

We have a lot of positives & should be able to make adjustments to our game plan to get in the win column & show some Bear Pride.
    Then again maybe not......................

    Friday was not pretty.

Tommy Williams! He came in and turned our program around. Got the kids to believe. At one point, we had great numbers for both the football and the band. Then, our band director retired and the numbers fell drastically... Just goes to show how much influence good mentors have on high school kids!

Honestly, I think Waynedale is better than the score indicated. But they seem to have some serious issues running their offense. They had all kinds of issues getting their players set... seemed confused before every snap. That being said. I think Northwestern is the team to beat this yr! Well balanced and were battle tested in non conference games. I think Hillsdale, Dalton, Norwayne, Chippewa, and Smithville are all evenly matched. Tuslaw looks like the perfect litmus test. Especially after seeing how close of a game Norwayne and Chippewa was. Tuslaw is by far the best 0-4 team in DV V this yr. All loses by less than a TD

Humm.... very interesting, we are not as far into as falcon nation but I would have to say I think we have a winner in coach Bohley. We don't have better athletes then we had in the past, just that the kids believe in him, he has turned this program into something that the kids want to part of it is pretty special when you get a person who can bring out the best of our young adults when they have so many other options that require allot less effort. Tell your boys to strap it on for week 8, it will be a dogfight. Good luck to your boys the rest of the season, hope all stay healthy and see you week 8!

I think the Dalton-Norwayne matchup is very interesting, but I'm thinking that Northwestern and Hillsdale are both better than either team lining up in Dalton on Friday night. Time will tell.

    Smithville over Rittman....big
    Chippewa over Waynedale.....big
    Norwayne over Dalton
    Northwestern over Hillsdale

Agreed. I think the Northwestern-Hillsdale game is probably the game of the week.

    As for the picks:

    Smithville over Rittman
Chippewa over Waynedale by at least 30
    Norwayne over Dalton
    Northwestern over Hillsdale

I agree with Smithville, Chippewa and Norwayne but I will pick Hillsdale over Northwester.

    Smithville over Rittman
    Chippewa over Waynedale
    Norwayne over Dalton (close)
Hillsdale over Northwestern (upset special) Falcons defense will be the difference.
