I gotta say, I've been through Wayne county plenty of times and the few times that my eyes weren't watering from the smell, I saw HORSES pulling the Amish buggies, not cows....But ok.O-Trap;1854642 wrote:Well, it was more likely cow manure, but otherwise I can't even disagree with that. Most of Wayne County does smell like a farm ... which should shock nobody. Most of Wayne County IS a farm. -

What type are you referring to?Al Bundy;1854641 wrote:So they traded in the horse manure for a different type of manure? -

You called me and told me about your problem and said you would be unavailable to post for a while, then just a short while later you post....Did your attorney work a little magic? Hope so. Things wouldn't be the same around here without you.Al Bundy;1854631 wrote:A couple of decades ago we brought up a quarterback from Wayne County. He had won a small school title and decided he wanted to play grown man football. He tried, but he just couldn't compete at the Massillon level. -

This seems like you were taking a shot at me and or Massillons football program....And after I paid the WCAL a compliment.O-Trap;1854634 wrote:So, like a championship won on a field versus a championship won on paper? Something along those lines? I mean, fields are rectangular and notably bigger than pieces of paper. -

The number of horses drawing Amish buggies in Wayne County isn't as large as the number of livestock cattle. As such, that smell is more likely to be cows if we're talking county-wide.chiefy jones;1854672 wrote:I gotta say, I've been through Wayne county plenty of times and the few times that my eyes weren't watering from the smell, I saw HORSES pulling the Amish buggies, not cows....But ok.
I certainly didn't mention you or Massillon in that statement, did I? You drew that conclusion on your own.chiefy jones;1854676 wrote:This seems like you were taking a shot at me and or Massillons football program....And after I paid the WCAL a compliment. -
chiefy jonesYa know, you're absolutely right....On both counts, I feel foolish.
You didn't mention Massillon and the stink is probably from cows. -
skank
You take a shot at Massillon here....By name. Have to mention the class shown by Wayne County trash for the things the Zwicks had to go through simply because JZ bettered himself.O-Trap;1854636 wrote:Justin Zwick? Seemed like he did okay for Massillon. Didn't win them a real title or anything, but ... then again, who has, right? -

I wasn't taking a shot at Zwick at all. I was a fan. I used to talk to him fairly regularly, and he was always a fantastic example and generally good guy.skank;1854863 wrote:You take a shot at Massillon here....By name. I wasn't sure who the post I quoted was referencing. By that post's own words, they referenced a player (a) from Wayne County, who (b) had won a small school championship, and (c) who went on to play at Massillon.
Zwick is the only person I know who fits those criteria, which is why I was confused about the rest of that post, saying he couldn't "play grown man football." I suppose if the post was referencing winning a title, that's true. He didn't win one. But neither has anyone else there, so I'm not sure how you could count it against just him. -
skankWhere did I say you were taking a shot at Zwick? I said you were taking a shot at Massillon.
And the guy who made the comment is an overzealous Tiger fan who has no filter. He doesn't live in reality, but his heart is in the right place. -

I apologize. I misunderstood.skank;1854974 wrote:Where did I say you were taking a shot at Zwick? I said you were taking a shot at Massillon.

My point wasn't to take a shot at Massillon as much as it was to invalidate a shot taken against Zwick. It wasn't as though he somehow failed to bring a title home any more than anyone else. That was my point. -
Al Bundy
We have dozens of other QBs who brought home state and national titles.O-Trap;1854977 wrote:I apologize. I misunderstood.

On the other hand....This is very true.Al Bundy;1854990 wrote:We have dozens of other QBs who brought home state and national titles.
As my boy Al says, nobody can match what Massillon has accomplished. -
O-TrapRest assured, I'm not trying to take away from the Massillon tradition. I am rather proud of it when speaking to people outside northeast Ohio about Ohio high school football. Plus, you guys gave the football world Paul Brown.
But when I say bring home a title, I mean a title won on the field.
I'm not ripping on the program by saying that. My alma mater has never brought one home, either. -
chiefy jonesCould someone please post the 17 schedules for every team in this league?

Sweet, I LOVE surprises. But if someone NOT named OTrap wants to post the info, I'll allow it.
Also if you could post players to watch I'd appreciate it.
Also, for reasons unknown, All Bundy would like a list of 8th grade boys.
Thanks.
