Captain Obvious...if you are truly a Golden Bear fan...it's not hard to figure out when you have a qb that broke the season record last year and topped that number this year AND a receiver who had 300 yards receiving in a game and 1,000 yards receiving last year along with 20+ TD's. Then about 800 yards receiving this year and AGAIN 20+ TD's. I am not a genius but I would guess those 2 have a few career records. That's just a hunch.... Wait...here is another stab in the dark...#28 may have the career tackling record...maybe.....Hey, YOU should know all this though because you bleed brown and gold.

Listen, why does it have to be about "politics" and "favoritism"...why can't we just let the coaches coach and the players play and let it be? I think these kids have overcome a great deal of adversity this season and put themselves in a position to make a playoff run...why so much NEGATIVITY towards the coaching staff AND really, just one player? And don't blame me, the "Idiot", on your hatred. It started well before I decided to fight for our coaches/players.
Your right, I think it's wrong for ANY coach to coach his kid. It's not fair to the kid, creates sticky situations (nepotism), and opens one to be second guessed. That question came up from you, let's not get out of context. Regardless of the sport I'm against coaching ones own offspring! There that covers all sports, make or female. The problem is in your mind, posing a question, having a different opinion, and critiquing is hatred! That's not the case outside of The Creek. You need to develop some thicker skin....have you ever questioned a play call? Have you ever questioned who should be playing? Have you ever thought someone else should have taken the last shot? If you say no, your a damn liar. That's what intelligent people do....where not questioning brain surgery here! It's freaking sports. There is only one thing in Waynedale most people hate......it's not any player or coach (hint). Here's food for thought...are you telling me a coach in the press box can't question a play call? If not, that's pretty insecure....

But you still loss three games! Stats are meaningless....sad part is you shouldn't have loss three. There is no way with that talent you lose three! Not hatred...FACT!

It's not fair for a coach to coach his kid, huh? You know why? Because people like you don't let it be. You get on forums or out in public and say..."That poor kid...he is in a tough spot". No he really isn't...it's tough because people like you are really and truly jealous of the situation and you really want to see the situation be a failure so you can justify your existence. You are DAMN right I have questioned coaches but, at the end of the day, I know that I am just an idiot fan and I sure as hell am not man enough to be the guy at the helm of any team. So you know what I do? I remember that I am sitting in the stands or watching on tv and it is easy to second guess when you are in those "seats" so I shut my mouth. I am by no means an intelligent person and I am ok with that...I don't need to people to think I am (hint).

So are you telling me if we had you at the helm (because according to one of your messages to me...you have 2 state title rings, 2 college letters, and 12 years coaching experience...oops was I supposed to let people know that?) then we would be undefeated? That is really what you are saying...you understand that, right?

Man you really are ignorant. WTF am I jealous of! I've asked you this many times? I'm jealous I don't coach in Apple Creek? LMAO! Idiot the point about coaching your kid is, it's almost impossible to not put your kid first if you love him or her. It blurs decision making! I've been on both side of the fence. I made the decision to give it up so that I could provide more to my family financially. See how that works? You put your kid first! I don't need or care what people think of me. That's the difference between us. I've had success, and I learned from mistakes, but I never let what others thought influence my decisions, or define who I am. However, I was, and still am open to being critiqued and open to suggestions. That's being comfortable, and not insecure. I no longer coach, but I do run a business that has well over 40 people. Part of being successful is how you respond to being second guessed, and if your willing to be objective. I don't need high school football to justify me....I moved on from that long ago. Maybe you should have put yourself in that position so you would know how to react and respond.

those are facts, and proud of it, but didn't say that Idiot...you did. What I did say was no way you should have lost 3 games with that talent. That's called underperforming. Im sure most of the league coaches would have loved to have the skill you did this year.

Blah, blah, blah....Wow...I am in absolute awe of you and your success story...good for you! Come on dude! We don't need your auto-biography...if you were really that successful then your "important" self wouldn't be on a HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FORUM 2nd guessing coaches/kids...you would be worrying about how to take your flourishing business to the next level...just keep telling yourself that you are "the man". Keep rationalizing because eventually you can convince yourself of anything.

I didn't realize being successful didn't allow you to have opinions, or follow football? I hope everyone gets the memo. No need to worry when your winning!

    El Choppo playoff predictions..

Only Chippewa and Norwayne win. Smithville loses badly and Waynedale loses because of all of the distractions here on ohio chatter :RpS_flapper::RpS_flapper::RpS_flapper::RpS_flapper:

Nailed it .... only I think Smithville can win if they show up

The folks involved in the chatter berating each other for personal glory and not doing what they can to support the WCAL is really disturbing to me. You know who you are and you all need to grow up and behave like adults in a public forum ... take your personal vendettas to PMs or some other forum, because I am frankly tired of two pages of threads dedicated to this crap, and I am sure others are as well. If you cannot be constructive in your criticism keep quiet. GO Bears, GO Chipps, GO Bobcats, and GO Smithies, do us proud in week 11.

I agree with you on this. If some of you my dork friend just described had courage, go talk to the coach. Taking it to an anonymous forum doesn't do much but make you look like a fool.

In all seriousness though, i think the league goes 3-1 and my bobcats will win region 16.

The coach made a questionable call and that is the reason everyone wants to point out is why the team lost. I have said it before on here in past years and will say it again. Coach Zuercher is one of the finest people in the high school game today. He is a role model for kids and lives out what he teaches. Waynedale could not have a better coach for their team.
My post from 9-26-15. I have always been a Coach Z fan. That does not mean I agree with what he or any other coach does all the time. Same goes for Riebe, Alberts, etc in basketball. These boards are to air opinions and have fun. One person seems to think it is his job to ruin it for everyone.

Yes i questioned the QB play. I said that if a QB will not take off and run once in awhile, they are not doing their job as good as they possibly can. Once a defense knows you won't run you make their job easier.
And guess what? The QB has tucked and run a few times the last couple weeks and look at the results.

The Bears are very talented. They have to use all their weapons from this point on.

Good of luck to the Bears tonight. They will be facing a true dual threat QB tonight. If they can contain him, they could pull this game out. Their three loses are to teams with dual threat qbs that they just could not handle.

Chippewa and Smithville will have to play at their best to win this weekend. I am not as convinced they can get that done.
  • 1_beast
Bears need to contain the QB, He like to run and is mobile, #22 seems to be his go to man along with #11. shut down the freshman RB #23 (near 1000 yds) and slow down #11.

Offensively, utilize all the weapons and lull Swanton to sleep before smacking them in the mouth with #32. See the running game and the speed of #26 or the hands of #3, and #10 underneath.

Can NOT lock on #32, as Swanton #11 is about 6'3? and im sure will be covering him. Depends on speed I guess.

This coach runs alot of trick plays as well. DO NOT sleep on special teams, punts, PAT's etc.

edit: the senior RB catches passes out o the backfield. ;)
  • 1_beast
Is the Tipple kid back for Smithville?
  • Havin Fun
You have hit the nail on the head beast. Swantons #11 is the Bears #32. Only 6'3"-6'4". A real Beast!

He #11 looks slow on film, #22 looks like a QB favorite as well. The freshman RB #23 totes the bulk of the carries with the SR catching bubbles and screens
