Sad news about Scout. Red Rider football meant a lot to him.

Coach Haley said on Facebook that Scout just told him last week that he thought this team was special.

Guy wore RTR on his sleeve.

Putting Triways game to bed and look to Northwest, I watched the Triway game on my son's IPod while my Brownies were stinking up the home opener, The snaps aren't as bad as you might think, the two that got by Luke were not that bad, once Luke and Korbin settle in they will be fine, But thank goodness Keontae grabbed the low one and made positive yards, heads up play on his part. Leftside of the line was having some problems, but they addressed it at the end of the game and changed a couple of things , so hopefully things on this young line keep improving, we will find out now because the opponents are not going to get smaller or slower from here on out. I think special teams should look better this week as Hershberger and Domer get back to full strength and another freshman that is back is the Ramsdell kid he could find himself in that mix, good hard nose kid. Two of many things that I thought were positive on Friday was the play of Amir, he just keeps improving, on both sides of the ball, there was a couple times when him or Harrison would pull and both did a nice job clearing a hole for our backs, Second I am not the first to say it, love the Kicking game this year, nice not to hold our breath when we line upf or a field goal or extra point , got to give the Duskey boy credit he put in some work and it shows. Some negatives, the clock was so obvious it boarded on bush league, Second Lukes Qb sneak on the goal line was in by a mile on film, his whole waist was over before he was pushed back, I heard from someone down on the sideline even the line crew fromTriway were laughing on that call, last negative was Triways QB shaking hands and giving every other kid a go to _ell or _uck you, I could see a couple of kids that have been jawing all game, but a whole team, that's just immature, it's a shame he is a good Qb he does not need to do that, just diminishes what he can accomplish on the field. Can't wait for Northwest our boys are going to have to play heads up ball and not make mistakes on this one.

That Hudl app is very slick. I need to get a "friend of program" password so I can watch game films from my iPad.

    How things have changed....

Yeah Carmichael was less than classy if that's what went on. I'm sure out kids aren't angels in the smack talk arena..but all that needs to go away once the game ends and it's time to shake hands.

It did not happen. 100% false. I've been around Parker his whole life, have coached with his dad, and know how he acts. Similarly to Sawyer Polen, who spoke less during/after a game than anyone I've ever seen at the HS level (especially for being a stud), Parker is one of the quieter players and knows how to handle losses. During the game, sure, he and everyone else can get a little chippy. But as soon as the game's over, if he lost, Parker would rather say nothing at all through a line than to swear like is being accused of him. Being a key player has its disadvantages, such as being an easy target for posts like the one above.

And by saying that..you call our kids liars. Kids from upstanding families that would have no reason to lie.

Emotions may have got the best of him..it happens. Even to a kid who will be a Bates Award finalist someday.

It won't stop him from being President.

You take his word for it...great. What kid would admit that he said that to an adult? I put the same faith in the word of our kids who said it happened.

I'm not accusing anybody of lying. They easily could have just mistaken those words being said by someone else in a hectic hand-shake line, and simply shared what they thought they saw/heard. Absolutely no harm there.

I will openly admit that we have some boneheads on our team that would say things like that. There's NO doubt there. Haha! (I don't condone it, but it's reality.) And if I had any thought that the claim against one of those people may have have been the least bit true, I would have just left this Orrville-heavy thread alone instead of butting in. Haha!

But knowing Parker and his family how I do, I wanted to speak up. I understand my opinion counts for nothing, but I did not want to leave it go unaddressed. Can't fault me in that, as I would expect any Orrville fan to defend their stand-up student-athletes just as much. :D

As long as you know your opinion counts for nothing...I don't know if it happened or not and really don't care. I have never thought of Triway people as being high class. If they would have won that game they would have had the score on the scoreboard for basketball warm ups or at the start of a track meet. It has happened before, so why would I not believe this happened in the line after the game? Either way I hope you win some games this year and help us out.

Agree! And the fact that you took time to stand up for the kid DOES mean something to me! Means worst case scenario he lost his cool and said some dumb things, and best case he was simply misunderstood. I could see that happening. I have seen lots of really good kids do and say some silly things.... They are kids. I said a thing or two to a few players after games in my day. If I felt I or anyone was hit with a cheap shot or whatever. Good luck the rest of the season!

This is funny. I remember a certain Triway fan accusing Orrville kids of "not winning with class" and "literally dancing in the endzone" on Friday night via twitter. So not only are the boys classless, now they're liars.

I would not be shocked if what the kids said about shaking hands after the game was true. Everyone in Wayne County knows Triway's reputation. This conduct would be nothing new.

That was me. And when I learned they were "Rider Jacks" or whatever, I quickly admitted publicly (by tweeting and retweeting myself from my other account) that I was wrong and even texted an Orrville fan to apologize for the supposed confusion.

sounds like another "misunderstanding" so am I supposed to believe there is no chance that the boy was saying what was heard from our boys? Just Saying...They should have done Rider Jacks on your big purple T!

Only Triway folks are capable of misunderstandings, though, so that's probably a good assumption on your part. ;)

Anyway, good luck to Orrville the rest of the way. Having lost to West Holmes and Orrville, while they are our top rivals, it'd be nice if we can turn it around and not only use those losses as motivation, but also be able to say that the teams we lost to made the playoffs. The OCC will be grueling, but you're off to a good start.

Just to recap before the game Triway will not trade game film, Triway clock operator stops the clock when even a 4 year old would know it does not stop twice, get beat anyway, your star mouths off after the game, and Triways biggest fan accuses our kids of lying and dancing in the end zone after the game. Later changes his mind because the were Rider Jakes...Sounds about like a Triway game to me.

Sigh. The clock issue was a valid concern, I'll give you that. Otherwise, I'm not even going to waste either of our time trying to address the others. You will believe what you want to believe, and I will believe what I believe.

Good luck this week and the rest of the season.

Sigh...I guess all the fight is out of the pitman go win some games Triway! Just one question if a coach is the one that told me about the game tape issue does that mean that our Coaches are liars too?

Please do not put words in my mouth. I didn't say anything about the game film thing.

And yes, we will try to win as many games as possible. Just for you guys! ;) Hopefully it starts this week, but we'll have to wait and see. West Holmes and you guys sure exposed a gaping weakness in our D. If we don't fix it, we could be in trouble.

Well you said you were not going to waste our time explaining the "other things". I am just not sure how you explain that in any way...

Good to see the Orrville huddlers back to form, fighting with everyone else instead of themselves.
