We will see if it is a better situation or not. I know he is not expected to "make plays just distribute" Lets see how many games he plays first. I hope he does well. From what I know about him he seemed like a good young man and I would have liked to see him at Orrville this year, but it did not happen and it is what it is.

He had that opportunity in Orrville as well. How exactly did he get passed up last year. Did he not play both ways last year?

My son would feel the same way as chase, red rider nation you have no idea what Doug does for our boys, and good for Bryce he work extremely hard in the off season, wish him the best.

Dyson went to Wooster and I believe he lives with his Grandma?? Although I may be wrong. I also heard the house he was living in fell victim to the JM Smucker company wrath of tearing houses down.
Kayronn is at Massillon and I heard his father (Dru) wanted him to play over there...although he won't touch the field as a Tiger...IMO.
...not sure of a third transfer one other than Bryce?

I think Doug and his coaching staff does a good job and I think the product we see on the field this season will reflect how bad Coach D, his staff, and the boys hated that 1-9 season. We are going to surprise some folks....starting 4-0 is a likely scenario, but if we get injuries early...it could easily be the opposite!

    GO RED RIDERS!

There are still plenty of housing available in Orrville. If any great athletes are looking just send them to me...LOL!

You are entitled to your opinion. I am sure you watched practice often to know he should have been the guy??? I am not sure saying he was "passed up" is quite accurate. I think the guy returning was a senior and had been to the State semifinals and regional finals his soph and Junior year.......not exactly being passed up in my opinion.

His father coaches at Mck....he can now watch his son play. Good for them all.

And you are entitled to your opinion-if above referenced QB was that great his sophomore and junior years why then was he not the starter against Norwayne??? He was after all cleared to play right?

I didn't say he was great. I gave his history coming into his senior year and for an undersized sophomore to unseat him he would have an uphill battle on any team. especially if said sophomore could also help team in other ways??? Bryce would have had to show up Big in summer workouts and camp to earn the job.

The levy passed by a huge margin.

The levy vote restores some faith in the way I percieve Orrville. We're a hard working town with a cross section of the population of our country. Rich, poor, advantaged, disadvantaged all coming together to better everyone. These are hard times and people feel their voices aren't being heard by politicians, but its not the time to take it out on our own kids by lowering their educational opportunities. Thank you for doing the right thing to preserve our RTR heritage.

4-0 is a LIKELY scenario? Seriously? I get being optimistic for your team, but this gets a big C'MON MAN

I am going to wait and see a scrimmage before I can make a call on how they are going to be. I don't get to see practice so that is the first I will get my eyes on this team. I am hearing good things so we will see.

    I wouldn't call it likely...very possible though.

Like I've said before, lets get that 1st win on the turf with a healthy roster & go from there.

I like what I saw in my 20 minutes of watching practice the other day. New formations on offense (much quicker developing plays), new kids, hard working team & what I hope is a real focus on not letting 2012 happen again.

We'll see when pads gets put on & we see live action in a scrimmage.

I'm so ready for this season to start I could burst!!! My anticipation to see the response of these young men on the playing field is giving me goose bumps! One thing about the internet is you have no shortage of motivation with all the opinions that get posted. I hope they can take all of this talk and put it in a pressure keg and come game time tear the cap off that sucker! The first two games of the season will be very telling. I would prabably take a few of the comments I have seen on here, print them and put them in my helmet!!! Then after each win I would EAT IT! LOL!

Go Red Riders, lets get it boys!!!:mad::mad::mad:

    First Scrimmage? Who and where?

8/17 at Minerva (guessing 10am)....there new turf is all done & ready for use.
8/23 vs Louisville (guessing 7pm since it's a Friday night)

Meet the Team and High School open house is Friday the 16th. Open house from 4:30pm to 7pm, meet the team at the stadium at 7pm.

Will be cool to see the new high school.

He's moving to Orrville this month...and CC thinks this means he'll be an assistant football coach.
