Then I suppose a little thing called "something better to do in Orrville" keeps them away on Friday nights.RedRider1;1471328 wrote:Just people from Canal Fulton..or Jackson..or wherever.

FlashA second hand report I heard was we looked ok to good on offense and not as good on D, but we were missing Zook. Luke looked good and Summers made some nice catches. Ritchie, Chandler Smith and Elijah were others that played and contributed. I'm sure we have a ways to go but it was better than expected with our experience level.

RedRider1Not to compare anything to anything but I thought we looked real good at last years scrimmage in Massillon....and we went 1-9.
-
Old RiderI heard goods and bads as well in regards to the 7 on 7, but its always funny to hear a parent's perspective compared to a coach's perspective...like apples to oranges. Its July 12 and it was this time last year when we were hearing all these good things....result...1-9!
Had to come back to edit. RR1 beat me to it! -
rrfanWhy were we missing Zook? I hope not because of injury...

My guess would be that the parents held him back (once or twice) to better his chances in high school of landing a scholarship?? Actually, I kind of like that idea....and with 4 boys of my own....HHMMMMM????
Danny Clark. Boy, I don't know. Buckeyes and recruiters nationally are going crazy over him. I saw him play last year. They actually played Wooster's 8th grade. He's 6'3" and has a big arm. He stands out when you see him. But he was also 15 years old playing 13 year olds. What he usually did was lob a ball deep and let his WRs out jump the awful junior high secondary. Don't know how that translates to high school. There's something I inherently don't like about parents posting youtube promotional clips of an 8th grader. Kinda creepy. We'll see if he continues to develop. The kid in the OCC to watch out for is the one from Madison. He'll be playing varsity as a freshman. They're a crap football team with a young Terrelle Pryor at QB. I've not seen a game where he's had fewer than 5 TDs. And he scores by every means imaginable..punt returns, INT's, QB draws. He's scary big and fast. -

Madison crap football team??? I thought they were supposed to be pretty good again this season? And with a QB like that, sounds like they will be pretty darn good.jaco;1471506 wrote:Danny Clark. Old RiderNothing like putting a bullseye on your 8th grade sons chest right before entering high school.

youngfart67The 9th grader at Madison probably won't start qb as a freshman . For one he has a broken ankle right now . Second Mitch Kelly is every bit as fast as him and has experience . Now he might see him at wide reciever or db this year if he recovers well. But you dead on he scored in every way possible last year. His team wasn't that good he did everything for them . Now he will start in basketball this season he is rated the second best guard in ohio for his class

Please tell me you aren't serious, a Orrville kid? If a parent puts their kid on utube or scouting Ohio in 7th or 8th grade, their kid should get the first week of full pads off and the dad or mom that posted should have to come in their place and get shedded every day that week, I feel for that kid. I know we talk about parent glasses on this site but that is to the extreme.RedRider1;1471665 wrote:Totally agree. There's one like that at every school..yes even Orrville. -
Coach_08It is true, I have seen the video REDRIDER555!

SAD!!! What the heck is going on?? Is it the parents not wanting their kids to play? Is it kids being weak and not wanting to get hurt and/or have to work hard? I just dont get it...what the hell is going on???BRF;1472445 wrote:I was told that there is a grand total of 28 kids out for the team. -
