But this is not about me. I am the smallest piece of a very large puzzle. I'm asking how Steubenville can heal, and nothing I do or say can change any of that. What does Steubenville in general and Big Red in particular have to do to get out of this mess?
All valid suggestions wlil be welcome.
Apparently nobody associated with Big Rape can be accountable for anything they do or say. -

And yes, you were wrong, and you DO owe this girl, and her family, an apology.FairwoodKing;1355907 wrote:It just so happens that I was not wrong and I don't owe this girl an apology. -

Public support from the larger community inclusive of people on message boards like these will assist in the beginning of a true healing. That type of support won't happen unless people like you apologize to the young lady for the public comments you have made about her.FairwoodKing;1355907 wrote:It just so happens that I was not wrong and I don't owe this girl an apology.

I am a very small piece in this very large puzzle. It doesn't matter what I say or do. I'm asking the broader question of how does the community heal? If you have any suggestions, they will be very welcome.GoChiefs;1355354 wrote:By admitting you were wrong. Public apology to the girl as well. -

Everyone is a small piece on here. You can gain the acceptance as an advocate of the community by apologizing to the young lady that you insulted so that all the "small pieces" on here will begin to view you as an advocate of the community in a better light.FairwoodKing;1356048 wrote:I am a very small piece in this very large puzzle. And you are part of that puzzle. Therefor, it does matter what you say or do. You, and anyone else that had comments as yours, owes that girl and her family an apology. Until then, nobody cares about the community "healing".FairwoodKing;1356048 wrote:I am a very small piece in this very large puzzle. It doesn't matter what I say or do. SpeedofsandFire the police chief, the sheriff, the prosecutor, the coaches, arrest the other boys involved, and minimum 1 year death penalty to the big red football and wrestling teams, maybe all sports.
Thats a start. -

Normally I would ask why do you punish all the other athletes for these few, but in this situation, where the administration and city are corrupt as hell just to protect football, it is warranted.Speedofsand;1356381 wrote:Fire the police chief, the sheriff, the prosecutor, the coaches, arrest the other boys involved, and minimum 1 year death penalty to the big red football and wrestling teams, maybe all sports.

I disagree. Giving the football and wrestling problem the death sentence would punish a lot of kids who had nothing to do with this. You can't fire the sheriff. He's elected by the voters, although it would be a good idea for them to vote him out. He's probably the most corrupt person in this whole business.Speedofsand;1356381 wrote:Fire the police chief, the sheriff, the prosecutor, the coaches, arrest the other boys involved, and minimum 1 year death penalty to the big red football and wrestling teams, maybe all sports.

I've changed my mind about Reno. At first I defended him, but I now realize he must go. They should force him into retirement. -

Good to see you're starting to come around and willing to admit that Reno needs to go. Can you now revisit your position regarding the victim and apologize for your comments?FairwoodKing;1357696 wrote:I disagree.
