If accurate, he should be fired for this alone.Darkon;1346125 wrote:Some troubling quotes from the article.

He's the real life Bud Kilmer. Time to tear the statue down. -

Boom! Do it! Take out the trash. This is on a Nat'l stage now. Can't bully around outside Steubenville....(unless your "hitters" from NYC/Jersey/Youngstown etc make this go away)scoreboard;1346386 wrote:This.

doubt it. Ive heard everyone has alienated her, sad story all around. The football program has really been exposed during all of this. Reno, the principal, superintendent, and certain assistant coaches have been exposed for the POS's/cowards they are.jordo212000;1346231 wrote:They were there early in the night, but wanted to go home. The girl who was involved wanted to stay and they left her there. Her friends have to feel terrible.
Do you know the party was at a volunteer coach's house? -

I think GoChiefs point was that Reno did not “do the Internet”. -

what is the big deal about asking? are you saying that it would have no effect on the outcome of the case?Crimson and Gray Hair;1347392 wrote:I don't mean to be rude but it matters not and we should not even be asking that.
but anyway that isnt why i was asking. I just wondered as i had just heard about the case. why should i not ask? i was just trying to wrap my head around this situation and wondering if the two guys holding her arms and legs in the pic are the ones who were charged or how they came up with who to charge when clearly many kids did the wrong thing this night. -
september63So Reno points his finger in the face of a reporter and says, "you have now made me mad. You will get yours, and if you dont, someone close to you will." This is the exact type of behavior causing the problem to be ongoing. Absolutely amazing behavior over the in da Ville.

Crimson and Gray Hairwhat is the big deal about asking?
Sorry, didn't mean to make a "big deal" out of it. However, since you asked about asking I'll tell you what I think. In the big picture of racial prejudice (I'm not implying you are in any way, shape or form a prejudicial person) I think those kinds of queries imply a suspicion of guilt based on racial stereotyping. We shouldn't do that. If you do even a cursory search on this case you'll find a number of allegations being made that some kids, allegedly involved, are or are not being charged based on their race and/or their "connections" in Steubenville. Whether true or not it is unfortunate that the "race card" gets played so easily and with such conviction.
are you saying that it would have no effect on the outcome of the case?
Nope - didn't really occur to me - but I would hope it would not.
but anyway that isnt why i was asking. I just wondered as i had just heard about the case. why should i not ask?
See point #1 above

Good luck with that. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it too...I think most decent people would. I, along with many of my friends, did stupid things at that age that I would be ashamed for people to know about me now, but NOTHING even approaching acts like this - wouldn't even have occurred to me to think about considering to wonder about maybe looking into doing something like that!
and wondering if the two guys holding her arms and legs in the pic are the ones who were charged
So perhaps just ask; "Anybody know if the two guys in the picture are the ones who have been charged?"
or how they came up with who to charge when clearly many kids did the wrong thing this night.
I'm certain any charges would be based on a whole lot more than a picture. And I'd hope any charges (or lack thereof) would not be influenced by anything I mentioned in point #1 above. -

jsut so you know im half black half white so im def not racist...and i was born in wheeling and have family in weirton and the ville, my ex wife graduated from big red so i know the area. Just like anywere it certainly changes the situation and makes it more of a hot button issue and would/could be viewed differently if it was two black kids accused of raping a white girl. It also changes the situation if you have money or dont have money. so that is more where i was coming from. i could care less if they were black or white personallyCrimson and Gray Hair;1348381 wrote:what is the big deal about asking?
