Ha ha! I can't even listen to the whole thing.

I agree with wcalfootballfan's analysis of the POY race. There is probably a couple other names that could be tossed in there but those are the best. I think Zimmerly is the front runner right now but there are a couple huge game left for the Cats. I admit I haven't seen the Notwestern boys play yet but this sounds accurate from what I've read. I also think Zimmerly,Berger. Smith and Noletti are the top 4 in the league.

Does anyone know the cat that rings that bell at the Hillsdale games?

59-13 Bobcats over Falcons. Jon zimmerly is hands down the POY in the WCAL. 325 yards rushing and 4 more TDs. Congrats to Jon on breaking school record. I see this score tonight being close to what it will be next week as well.

    Wow what hit those Falcons?

34 rushes, 324 yards, 4 TDs in 59-13 win at Hillsdale. That's huge, and I think Zimmerly about wrapped up the WCAL POY award. However, I don't anticipate a similar score next week. Northwestern's much more dangerous offensively, IMO. Norwayne will still be favored, especially after the butt-whooping they put on Hillsdale and their big line. But I can't imagine Norwayne beating Northwestern by 46.

I am telling you...there is no one in the same class as Norwayne. They will beat NW 55-20

So... I'm finally considering asking this... is 2012 Norwayne better than 2011 Norwayne?

It can be argued but not decided. If 2012 Bobcats don't take title they will never be better than 2011 ultimately.

I'd still say he's definitely one of the best, but there are some good runners in the area. That kid from Loudonville was making a lot of plays himself, and I'd definitely put him into the discussion. Kid was tough.
Any question on the best running back now? Jon Z. Hands down!

So? Tell me what elevates them considerably above the competition? Parents?

If they think that "too soon", they could be in trouble. R-14 is insane.

On smaller, record setting levels, they "could". Is THE TITLE the goal? Certainly!!! I will say this,,,I would put my money on the 84? 85? Riders over their State Champ Team...

The stars have to align..you need to catch a few breaks.

Don't know. Didn't see the game.

Again, Zimmerly gets the yards, but the line is largely what makes that possible. Any running back will tell you that he lives and dies by his line. Zimmerly behind a horrible line would have horrible numbers. Zimmerly behind an excellent line will have excellent numbers. That applies to virtually any starting running back. Ultimately, I doubt there is a running back in the WCAL who wouldn't be seen as the "hands down" best if he was running behind Norwayne's line.

To give everyone an idea of just how productive he's been all year, tonight he ran for 324 yards on 34 carries, and his per-carry average on the season actually dropped. It's just unreal.

It's hard to definitely say. I still maintain that he's one of the best in the area, and that he should certainly get some looks, especially after tonight.

I think the world of what Harbour is doing over there, and the entire offense should be proud of the running and passing effort that this team can put up on any given night. The line and receivers block when Zimmerly gets the call to pound the ground, and that team blocks EXTRAORDINARILY.

I also do have to say this: I've been extremely impressed with what I've heard about their quarterback this year. He has obviously stepped up to fill some big shoes, and I think he's done it as well as anyone could have done it. He should be quite proud.

Oh, on POY I agree. I was speaking to the "best running back." Given the number of variables in a successful running game, it would be difficult for me to assert an opinion, having not seen all the area running backs. I do still remember seeing the kid from Loudonville making a lot of his own holes for much of the game I saw. Would he be putting up the same numbers as Zimmerly behind the Norwayne line? We can't know for sure, but I'm betting it'd be close, if not equal. That's why it's hard to know. Too much speculation.

Norwayne's line has been absolutely outstanding. Dreher's shirt was clean at the end of the night. I dont think Hillsdale ever touched him. As for the team and Jon's record, it was his night. The coaches obviously decided they were going to get Zimmerly the record tonight. I wonder what would happen if the decided to feature the passing game during a game. Dreher could potentially throw for 500 ....maybe 600 yards. They have almost named the score in every game they've been in this year. Congrats to the Cats. 1 away from 10-0

    Zimmerly is great! POY!

    Not a 2k back. (yet)

    Just sayin.
