Haha. I can take it, and I enjoy humor. :D Being on these forums for 11 years (over 40% of my life), I've learned to take just about what anyone can throw at me, on or off the interwebs. Others could benefit from this trait.

Shenanigans... I believe that this word is much more fitting considering this site is the closest I've seen to Barnum and Bailey's on the internet of course excluding the ringling site itself.

You can't use a word as intellectual as farce... Most of these guys don't understand it. You should know that...

This is impeccably factual. I should have perceived this long ago.

Ding Dang Daily Record you did it, A great write up on the Bobcats, Now keep up the fine work for 15 weeks. You made a big Mistake you must misspell a few words so the Children can correct them we must keep the Children happy you know. Thanks Daily Record.

Waynedale at Smithville Friday Sept. 14th 7:30 kick off. Fast facts: over the last 10 years Smithville holds a 7-3 advantage in wins, including last years 42-0. The all time win loss is very close Waynedale holds a slim lead winning 28 times and losing 27 times and 1 tie. Both teams have been struggling this year and look for them both to try to est. a running game early. I think this is going to be a low scoring game, decided by the team that can est. the passing game.

I actually agree here. I think Burke gives a better chance this year. Being a jr, he is a little bigger and more athletic. Neither has been terribly accurate so far. The soph. Ryder has been solid at db. I would still give Ryder some pt at qb, and let them duke it out this summer for the job next fall, when I think the bulldogs will be in the discussion again. I think Burke gives them the better shot at this point, but it's not a wide margin.

Daily Record says all time series is 28-27-1 with Waynedale having the edge. Just where did you find those two extra wins old smithie?

Who cares.... besides alumni/parents.... If there was a T.V. preview show for the WCAL... This weeks episode would be titled... SNOOZER WEEK.

That being said... This is the game of the week in the WCAL.... and it's not because of the talent out on the field. This game will be the only one with a chance of seeing a close game in the WCAL. Waynedale is more athletic.... Smithville better disciplined... Smithville has a win... Edge to Smithville... I refuse to go into further detail about this game.

Mansfield Madison v. West Holmes should be game of the week. I don't know much about Madison besides their record. I know they have some size. (So does W.H.) I know their coach. (Successful at Crestview, seems to have Madison on track) I know their recent history. (Fast starters, not much OCC success.) I think this and the Ashland/Wooster game are going to be real interesting. These games will tell us about where each of these 4 teams are this year.

in regards to waynedale being more athletic, who would you say the athletes are for the bears. bates being a all ohioan in 3 sports, shane and poorman bein on the podium at state track last year along with buss, kurtz and sophomore andy blough, the smithies have blazing speed and thats something no one can argue.

Here we go with the blazing speed again..lmao
  • WCALfootballfan
I was at Smithville’s week 1 game. I didn’t see the infamous blazing speed. I also didn’t see those “football bodies” that Pride speaks so highly of. We’ll leave that for some other time.

I say Smithville wins this one easily although I think Stanley and Strasbaugh are both good football players. I just don’t think Waynedale has enough to go with them. I think Smithville will go .500 feeding off the bottom feeders.

As much as I hate to do it, I think I’m going to go watch the first half of Norwayne/Rittman. I have a card game later so it will keep me busy until then. I don’t think there will be anything to keep me there for the second half.

I’ve seen Smithville, Northwestern and Hillsdale play and I want to watch Norwayne.

It sounds like the Harris kid is hurt but by looking at the area leaders in the paper this morning it doesn’t really look like he’s done much this year anyway. From all the hype I thought he was supposed to be unstoppable. It looks like the 3 other receivers are all ahead of him in catches and yardage. I also didn’t see his name in the tackles or interceptions anywhere. Come to think of it, I don’t remember seeing Prides favorite player in there either.

Does Rittman have any chance of slowing the Cats down in this one?
