Having mixed emotions on that subject. Burke is bigger, maybe faster and somewhat less intimidated as a junior. But he got two penalties last week when his recievers weren't set before he started the play. The adrenaline or pressure seem to get to him and then he can't always shake it off. It seems to me Ryder is the faster thinker and more accurate passer, but he's not a big guy and he's a sophmore. He looked a little nervous when the big guys came his way, can't say I blame him though. With another year experience I say he's very good.
So I stick with my opinion after the scrimmages, I like them both out there because they each contribute best in different situations.

Oh I bet!! There was a lot of built up emotions in that game for all of us x norwayne players who got our tail kicked in every year for years by the BIG 3. However it felt good seeing the whole county there behind our back supporting the creston kitties

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri freshman quarterback Maty Mauk has been arrested on suspicion of four charges, including leaving the scene of an accident after a scooter mishap.

Mauk is third on the depth chart after a record-setting high school career in Kenton, Ohio, and is the second Missouri quarterback to have a scrape with the law in recent months. Redshirt freshman Corbin Berkstresser, the backup, was arrested and charged in May with a misdemeanor for hitting a parked car with his truck and leaving the scene.

Missouri spokesman Chad Moller said the school was aware of the situation and was dealing with it internally. The Tigers open the season Saturday night against Southeastern Louisiana.

Campus police said Mauk made contact with two vehicles on his scooter with two female passengers onboard just after midnight Thursday morning, then refused to pull over and ran a stop sign.

Mauk turned himself in later Thursday morning and was arrested on four misdemeanor charges, including leaving the scene/failure to report, operating a vehicle in a reckless manner and running a stop sign. He was transported to Boone County Jail where he posted $1,000 bond.

Ah, I remember the good ol' days when the Smithville win streak over the Kitties was still going (27 straight meetings from 1979 to 2006, no matchup in '88). However, change is the constant, and eventually every team has its day. We've seen it unfold, as every single team in the WCAL has made the playoffs since the 8-team-per-region format was put into place. That means all eight WCAL teams have made the playoffs at least one time since 1999.

Anyone who has been a fan of the WCAL ... for any team in it ... should take pride in that. Not just any league the size of the WCAL can claim to have had all 8 teams make it within just 13 years. It's a testament to the parity and the level of competition in the WCAL.

So it's good to see Norwayne and Hillsdale atop the pile. They've played the red-headed step child in the WCAL for long enough. They have good coaching, a good program in place, and hard-working players who know what it takes to be great.

And that's how we do success in the WCAL.

ESPN must be slow on the uptake they are two weeks behind. There was a thread in the Collage Football Forum started 8/30 on this subject.
So stick with Ohio Chatter for all your important information!:D
