Let me point out the sheer irony of this post:
1. The one guy who was there at the annual "member-hilljack" mixer who is least likely to be able to read a book, wins one.
2. My house overlooks the 16th fairway of The Wooster Country Club, so you were essentially in my back yard.
3. They don't serve squirrel or Busch Light at WCC, you must have been hungry AND thristy when you got back to The Creek. -

1. My Family is a very highly regarded family in The Wooster area....(if you only knew half of the story).....THE4RINGZ;1062179 wrote:

2. On the note of the 16th hole...perhaps We will "sponsor" that hole....and each time I play a round of golf there...I will make it point to stop by and upper deck you
3. I don't eat squirrel or drink Busch Light...but BL is in fact available at TWCC....

1486wdi really would just prefer the wcl stay like it is, but do think triway, loudonville, or tuslaw would all work (dalton plays loudonville every yr in basketball right now). I really cant see tuslaw leaving a league with their rivals fairless and machester anyway.
As far as move ins go - how many times is a super star athlete supposedly moving in, only to find out he's 5'6 350 and cant run. -

They will still have enough to whip Orrville.Old Rider;1061843 wrote:You had your Tebow and his name is Adam Wallace....lets see how well you do without him next season! -

I heard he's moving into the district. I thought some of you fellas on here might have some info. It could all be BS. I didnt get a name but I heard someone saying that everyone in the WCAL would die if this kid did move in. -

The QB coming into Norwayne has 4.35 speed.......1_beast;1062633 wrote:Heard the Bears are getting a 6'3" 230 lb rb/lb.....just a rumor I heard...but if he does move here, people are gonna be mad.

With a rb like that, Z would go to the spread.

Now thats the question......Old Rider;1061843 wrote:You had your Tebow and his name is Adam Wallace....lets see how well you do without him next season!
He was basically the conductor of the Bobcat orchestra on both sides of the ball.
Not easily replaced

The other teams don't drive buggies, supposidly that is why waynedale pulled the plug. -
1_beastBears had 1 team cancel thursday before the storm hit....1 team friday...we were still competing. Saturday the other 3 teams forgot....its winter in Ohio...traditionally it does snow.

That's nuthin'!!!!
Northwestern is rumored to have a move in that is 6-6 245, runs a 3.98 forty AND pulls babies from burning car wrecks when he's not volunteering at the local soup kitchen!
He is also a rhodes scholar and his hobbies include weightlifting, ultra marathoning and studying game film.
oh, and I almost forgot, his greatest wish....is for world peace.
Top that one fellas -

Orrville has been scratching games left and right, too, at every snowflake. I told the Wooster boys that Saturday mornings are typically the day those kids have to report to their probation officers, so that was probably the real reason.1_beast;1062697 wrote:Bears had 1 team cancel thursday before the storm hit....1 team friday...we were still competing. Go Falcons
The MAC has a 2 game OOC schedule and the worst team last year does not play the best team. Something like that would work IMO.THE4RINGZ;1061761 wrote:If you add two teams how do you manage the OOC schedule, having three games as they do now is a great set up for Harbin points.
I did not realize the W.C.C. had a token Creek-jack policy. Of course it may be for entertainment reasons only, they are fun to watch!:laugh:1_beast;1062048 wrote:When not at a football game or wrestling meet...(or the Fredericksburg Legion)....My friends and I frequent The Country Club so as to not have to deal with the likes of people on this forum. 1_beast....And another OC puppet has a post dripping with jealousy. Sorry, there is no tractor parking and overalls are also unaccepted attire. Perhaps you and your cronies could get together at the J-ville pub.
-
Red RumAhhhh, the J-Ville pub. It used to be the crown jewel of the village.
Where else could you find-
1. a pool table with a 30 degree slant. (a common cry was "every ball in the corner pocket")
2. the often used dartboard was at the end of a narrow darkened hallway that lead to the restrooms. After relieving yourself, wisdom dictated waiting until the end of a round before venturing out into the hallway. Since wisdom was never a strong suit for Bloody, he once actually took a dart to the chest. Great fun!!
3. the 5-1 250LB barmaid's repulsive physical appearance was rivaled only by her foul mouth, repugnant personality and ability to ignore paying customers in her pursuit of laziness. That skank was so universally nasty, Miyagi wouldn't even hit it.
4. this was all in the 90's, so a trip to Hillsdale & the J-Ville pub always mean't the only victory celebration of the year for Husky fans.
Yes folks, the J-Ville pub was a magical place. I hear it has been remodeled and restaffed since my last experience, so I strongly recommend a visit should your team play at Hillsdale this year. -
FlashTCB, wasn't us that wanted to cancel, Lex was coming and was afraid they couldn't get back. It's a mutual agreement between supt.'s. Did Orrville cancel any other games at the HS varsity level? I'm not talking about games that don't matter except to the parents.

beatobamaReally quiet with Smithville football opening. I have not seen it posted anywhere or heard any news recently. Anyone heard any rumblings? Is it a done deal or is it being opened up?

Red RumI think Shrock is still technically coach until the board meets and accepts his resignation again on Jan 30th.
This is a classic Machiavellian style manuever for dealing with an opponent who is popular with the masses
A. Strike against said opponent with unfair and heavy handed tactics---(Pearl Harbor performance review meeting)
B. Lay down a smokescreen to cover tracks---(gag order)
C. Leak news to gage public opinion while hiding behind smokescreen---(newspaper article)
D. Divide public furor by letting multiple rumors run wild and have forum where nothing is revealed---(Dec BOE Meeting)
E. Opponent usually submits due to multiple factors like lack of official support, concern for public unity, etc, etc---(Early Jan BOE Meeting)
F. Let public furor dissipate while claiming innocence and misunderstanding---(Jan 11 to Jan 29)
G. Officially dispatch opponent, fulfilling agenda while still revealing nothing and claiming innocence---(next BOE meeting)
H. Discreetly continue on with agenda, sacrificing pawns if necessary---(stay tuned) -
BlackSmith
Rum, I agree your on mark. How convenient BOE didn't discuss at special meeting on the10th, putting off any actions until Late January BOE meeting. They had his resignation on the 9th after Acting Supe contacted Coach. Waiting for the ****storm to settle down before addressing the resignation and making interim Supe permanent. What a mess! As I said before "it ain't over til it's over and the fat lady sings". No singing yet, as community awaits next move by BOE.Red Rum;1063796 wrote:I think Shrock is still technically coach until the board meets and accepts his resignation again on Jan 30th.
