Do you ever pay attention? Maybe Jason Haley????? BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look I Get it you're the president of the Doug Devault fan club . Haley would be an excellent choice and if he knew he had a chance at the position I don't think he would go anywhere . Haley is far and away a smarter guy when it comes to football knowledge then Devault . I know that hurts you to hear me say that, But it's true .

He has mentioned stepping down so that he can attend his childrens school and athletic events.

    Please read Old Riders post.

I am not on any fan club, however I am for a person that looks out for these kids and is a good role model. Please don't try to put words in my mouth either. I have nothing but great comments to make about Coach Haley as well. Now if you want to hear some coaches that I would like to see move on I could give you some but I think these two that we are talking about are solid.

Any Orrville fans interested in watching a little playoff football on our turf???

Go to the field tonight and watch the Northwestern Huskies practice. I think its great that we can offer that to another County school, but if I were a current Orrville player that would burn my @ss something fierce!!!

Moot point...Coach Davault (this is the correct spelling of his name) is not going anywhere so why waste our time with your pointless OPINION? One bad season and everyone pushes the panic button. The best coaching is done in the off-season and I believe Coach Davault will illustrate that this off-season. No talent coming up? I have been to a few 7th, 8th and 9th grade games and I see enough talent, providing the work ethic is there, to have successful seasons in the near future. Gotta have faith fellas!

Wonder what the electric bill for 2-3 hours of stadium lights would run? Who pays for that?

I'm sure we were a total pushover and will pay it with a smile on our face.....

Yet the real money from hosting the game will go to Clovertucky.

Ps - speaking of hosting a playoff game...I saw where Massillon is charging $3 a car and $20 for RV's for their game this Saturday. Could net them ~$10,000 just in parking fees. Probably for another new Nike uniform.

It will be interesting to see how many games we get if any this post-season....

I know back in 06 we went to practice at Canton Central Catholic, we didn't use lights for our practices. We used their field 4 times. Now with the weather being as crappy as it is lights may be needed tonight, but I doubt they use them.

I know first hand that these coaches are just as upset as we are about the season and if I know Coach D...he will do everything in his power to ensure that it doesn't happen again!! But again, its ultimately up to the kids to do the extra work to get better!

Well maybe we can host a SOCCER game!

If we dont get a game next week, we won't get one...they wont host a regional final or a state semifinal in a 3000 seat stadium. Those games will go to CCC, Medina, Arlin, etc.

How exactly did Cloverleaf land that game? It the schools had any input, I have real problems with those dollars leaving this county. What the heck?
  • AllOhio
Norwaynes playoff game was moved to Cloverleaf last year, they obviously won there, and that was the start of their playoff roll. It was offered to them again this year...need I say more? I guess you could say State Championships are "priceless".

His name is Larry Aucker and if you know him...there is no way he his giving Orrville any opportunity to make money on his Bobcats!!

^^Bingo. He also sits on the NE district athletic board. Guessing he has considerable pull.

Only a few think he should go anywhere. I know he works his butt off and I am sure as hard as all of us are taking it he is taking it even harder.

That type of thinking is why I have a hard time rooting for any county team. I know the feelings they have for Orrville are usually not good.

rrfan- why would Norwayne come to Orrville with weather like this? Where do you expect everyone to park? Drove by the construction site and its a mess the way it is!! Also Acker and Ritchie are friends, as are the O'Hares, I'm sure there was conversation about Orrville but Cloverleaf like last year gave them 100% of the concession money, heard maybe we didn't want to do that. That comment about not liking the county schools is bogus, maybe thats because we lost in football, basketball, and this year in both 7th and 8th grade football to Norwayne. Think we better clean up our mess first.

:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown: Really? You don't even know why it was moved there. I would think it would be closer for both teams for one. Most football fans in the county will root for all the teams in post season-whether it is Waynedale Wrestling, Dalton Volleyball, Smithville Girls Basketball etc. Last time I checked your volleyball team was still in it and play on Thursday in the regionals. Sometime, it may even be you Orrville Red Rider and rrfan. Hum?

Massillon has charged for parking in their lots for years, that's nothing new. I haven't ever paid to park and there is plenty of street parking within walking distance. And the folks who live close to PBTS and Fawcett charge $5.00 to park in their yards close by and make good money during the State finals.

So, with that comment, the question is...What was the coaching staff doing this previous off-season?
