    Mason Monheim at Illinois
    Drew Brenner at Ashland
    Stu Turner at Ball St
    CHase Hoobler at Indiana
    Sam Miller at Kent St
    Max Pirman at Nebraska

Hmmmmmmmm that wreaks of a 7-3 record right?

As good as that West Holmes team was they have ONE kid going D1 and that is to Kent! Are they good because of coaching or that maybe doesnt have anything to do with it? THat team will finish 10-0 in D3 with ONE D1 recruit!!!
That WH team is made up of kids that A) are athletes, not football players B) who play well as a unit under the coaches watchful eye. We have a D1 baseball signee in Snyder, Perone is getting D1 looks already, Arnold will play basketball at the next level, and 4 players that played in the state semi final baseball game. Oh, and a state champ on the lanes too:laugh:......its not about D1 talent in football. It's so much more than that!

Amish kids are usually pretty athletic. Season ain't over yet, though. Let's see what West Holmes finishes with.

west Holmes has a really good coach and staff. Far superior to ours. They have taught those kids how to play football the way it should be played. Starting with fundamentals.

We're splitting hairs, none of these personnel changes would magically turn us into a 5-1 team. We're down and the rest of the conference is up.

I'm all for #1 & #24 seeing more time, but it would be at the expense of two senior captains. Kids who have been part of the programs for 4 years and show up for off season (voluntary) workouts and do whatever is asked of them.

Puts the coaches in a tough spot. And yes, politics do exist...welcome to every town in America. Kids who do more than the minimum, kids who aren't running their mouth on twitter, kids who put in the work in the weight room...those kids get the benefit of the doubt...like it or not.

Just another reminder...booster club meeting is Monday night at the school. Opportunity to ask all your pressing questions.

Oh and save your "anonymous" comments on my blog saying we need to hire a new coach from outside the area...I won't be publishing those. Guessing its someone from this site.
Regardless of what the score was, the coach has done that every game this season and for the last several seasons. For this season, how hard is it to realize that #24 is the best rb on the team. Aren't you one of the guys that has said in the past that the coach/coaches are going to field the best 11 players. Is that splitting hairs?

Newsflash, 4 years is the maximum time any of them are going to be with the program! Should you be punished for being younger, yet better at any position? Those seniors can still be captains.

"Politics do exist" you say, you've told us many times before that there are no "politics" in Orrville sports!

Noone's going to the booster club meeting and it isn't because we're afraid to confront the coach/coaches or show our faces. Regardless of our questions, it's very much doubtful he's going to change his gameplan.

As a program, This will be their first winning season since 2006. Maltarich's first winning season at WH.

He's 56-61 in 12 seasons. One playoff appearance (first round loss while at Norwayne).
  • BRF
    Great and awesome post, RR1!

    You rock!

Actually, I was looking at Maltarich's record before you posted THE FACTS.

My point 300 is you are well coached and we are NOT! We have had a bunch of talent and could NOT do better then 7-3. Good luck rest of the way you guys are a great team. We will hang out here with Dougie and see what the future brings.

What a train wreck. No, not the season....this thread.

For the ones calling for the backup QB to start since he is the QB of the future...says who? Isn't there another kid playing QB at the freshman level? Just throwing that out there.
