I'm sure #10 isn't going to do much better at this point.
Did he do any worse than #10?
He won't learn much without some time at the position.
#40 is not better than #24.
#24 has run well every game that I've attended, for some strange reason, after a successful drive he doesn't get much additional play.
His play has proven him to be the better RB.

Did you "observe" that! Can you explain that!

There were no negative notes taken and what I said was not negative.

The negative note I'll share is the presence and ridiculous comments of "barf".

Maybe sup Richie will rotate the coaching staffs between the schools, we are ready for a change over here, we think we have the worst over here and you the same and sure Rittman thinks the same, but we would love to have your staff compared to what we have!

Normally in football, I believe any coach is going to build as big of a lead as possible in the 1st half. In the 2nd half of a blowout, you start your starters the first drive or two, see how it goes, and go from there. In the case of Norwayne vs Chippewa, after those 1/2 drives of the 3rd quarter, you have 2nd & 3rd string in. But the OCC is different football, so it wouldn't surprise me if WH kept theirs in a little longer.

Stinks to lose another ugly one. Our last 3 games, we've been out scored 106-20. Just so semblance of a clue on offense.

Worse to lose a captain at linebacker (Infield). He may be done for the year.

West Holmes is good. They may be another area team to make a deep playoff run. That QB runs their system well & Arnold (#4) is a special athlete.

I agree with everything you said series62. #10 has had three years now to get better and still hasn't. He has not improved in any area at all in three years. It's time for #1 to get the ball in his hands, he can't do any worse. #24 is the best runner they have yet he doesn't start ? He runs them to the one yard line and doesn't play next series. I will never understand Devault's logic. Was he punished for not scoring or what. Like I said before if it works Devault changes it.

Maybe the coaches are using a rotation at running back to keep guys fresh, or using certain backs in certain situations?

I know Urban Meyer is doing this at Ohio State...perfect example is Jordan Hall/Braxton Miller ran the team right down the field and when they got inside the 10 they brought Rod Smith in, then when they got to the 1 they gave the ball to Zach Boren.

I don't know if that is what our coaches are doing, but maybe they are using the same logic? Use #24/#21 when you are driving, then when you get inside the 10 bring in the bruiser?

Regardless.....if you don't have the ability or depth to do that, then you have to have your best 11 players out there, if that means leave #24/#21 in then I agree...do it.

At the time of our 1 good drive, wasn't the score 35-0? Maybe the coach was rotating 24 & 21 and it just happened to be #21's turn the next drive?

We're splitting hairs, none of these personnel changes would magically turn us into a 5-1 team. We're down and the rest of the conference is up.

I'm all for #1 & #24 seeing more time, but it would be at the expense of two senior captains. Kids who have been part of the programs for 4 years and show up for off season (voluntary) workouts and do whatever is asked of them.

Puts the coaches in a tough spot. And yes, politics do exist...welcome to every town in America. Kids who do more than the minimum, kids who aren't running their mouth on twitter, kids who put in the work in the weight room...those kids get the benefit of the doubt...like it or not.

Just another reminder...booster club meeting is Monday night at the school. Opportunity to ask all your pressing questions.

Oh and save your "anonymous" comments on my blog saying we need to hire a new coach from outside the area...I won't be publishing those. Guessing its someone from this site.

One of those senior captains is just not getting the job done. Let him play another position where he seems to do a better job . Are we supposed to go through the season with a bad qb just because he is a senior ? If there is someone else who can do a better job at the position shouldn't he play regardless of his year in school. So what if the kid puts in all the extra work if it doesn't make him any better what's the point. Don't give me that crap about the weight room either because by the looks of it there's only about five kids on that team that actually lift weights.

Please tell me you are NOT comparing Davault to Urban Meyer! Come on OQB you are much smarter than that. You are a bright kid with a bright future but dont insult Urban Meyer!!!

Whoa whoa whoa! Did you just use football at Orrville and common sense in the same sentence? ummmmm common sense???? Here? Are you sure? Wait you did say common sense right?

Of course it's common sense...it's the kids who aren't putting in that work that are the first to cry politics as a way to shift the blame.

As I turn on ESPN and see freshman Mason Monheim getting the start at Illinois I once again get sick to my stomach

    Mason Monheim at Illinois
    Drew Brenner at Ashland
    Stu Turner at Ball St
    CHase Hoobler at Indiana
    Sam Miller at Kent St
    Max Pirman at Nebraska

Hmmmmmmmm that wreaks of a 7-3 record right?

As good as that West Holmes team was they have ONE kid going D1 and that is to Kent! Are they good because of coaching or that maybe doesnt have anything to do with it? THat team will finish 10-0 in D3 with ONE D1 recruit!!!
