    This was my first thought.

Goal #1 for West Holmes this Friday...shut out Orrville.
Goal #2 for West Holmes this Friday...score 50.
Goal #3 for Weat Holmes this Friday...embarrass us on our turf.

    I guess if 1 & 2 happen, #3 is achieved.

Time to play for pride Riders. If that doesn't motivate our kids to play with some passion, then nothing will.
Riders win this game bigtime, and WH runs Maltarich out of town like Norwayne did, best move ever for cats......

Sounds about right. Then Malt could rebuild Orrville or Waynedale.

    My sources are well-placed.

    Pit,
Why was that your first thought? Because WH is above doing that? Or because we're desperate for a win so much that we're making up stuff to motivate our kids? Or both?

A chance to spoil their perfect season and get back in the playoff hunt and win a game on our turf is motivation enough...The Knights just helped out some.

And I think Greatwhite's little smiley face means he's playing coy. He knows it's true...I'm sure his own kid told him.

Maybe Maltarich could rebuild Orrville, Waynedale AND Rittman all at once ... Like the Superintendent Mr. Richie.

One thing I know for sure is the more attention the county can get for any sport the better it is for ALL the schools. With that being said, I also believe tradition is a comprehensive history of good performances. I feel like a lot of schools have some good runs when they have a handful of good athletes come through at the same time. I think this is seen in a lot of schools but way more in public small school programs like many in wayne county. To compete well consistantly over time in the "Orrville" or "Norwayne" type communities you have to have some good "athletic environments" for that kind of long term success. From the parents, community, school and coaching staff. THAT is what makes it so cool!!!! "it takes a village to raise a man", that kind of thing. That is what is hard for outsiders (no disrespect intended AT ALL), to understand. When I was in school everyone in the community EVERYONE knew who you were and what sports you were in and how well you were doing. Kids are changing for sure but so are our expectations as adults, most kids will live up to OUR (adults) expectations. I was PUMPED for Norwayne, I'm pumped for any school from our area that does well. Orrville has had long term success in most sports, when I was a Junior we lost a track meet in New Philly, after the meet coach Burk broke a clip board and CRIED (yes over a track meet)!!! He informed us that the loss we just took was the first dual or triangular meet loss in the last 6 YEARS!!!! That is NUTS! Basketball.....One word.......SMITTY (and now Sly a young man born of the Smitty system)!!! and football had Mo, Mack and now Devault and all the amazing assistant coaches that came with them. We cared, coaches cared and the community cared. It will work out as long as Orrvillites keep taking care of each other. Just like always!!! LOL, sorry for preaching!!!

    Go RED!!!

Orrvilles only hope tomorrow is to run the ball effectively so they can keep west Holmes offense off the field, because our defense will not be able to stop them.
