Sorry about your luck pal. If you were accustomed to watching winning football year in and year out, you'd be up a couple "pegs" too!iced earth;959685 wrote:I only live in WOO...My blood is Gold and Brown. -

Seriously? Not that great a difference? You're obviously not from Orrville... a place where winning is a part of life from birth when it comes to football. We expect to win and it's been that way for a loooong time.THE4RINGZ;959848 wrote:Spin it anyway you want to, but for the players taking the field next week, there isn't that great of a difference. Coaching staffs and the preparation for week 12 that is definitely an advantage for Orrville. -

Again, the players taking the field Saturday night don't have a significant difference in play off experience. That is what my point was, coaching staffs and programs aside, but that isn't what I was talking about.AllOhio;960668 wrote:Seriously? Not that great a difference? When are people going to give Norwayne's line some credit.....we played Western Reserve everybody said Norwayne cant handle WR's size on the line......we played Hillsdale everybody said cant handle Hillsdale's size on the line.......we played Brookfield everybody said the same thing.......give these boys some credit they may not be 6'10 375.....but they play like it.....O line and D line...thedemoralizer7;960385 wrote:orrville 35 norwayne 14. IMO Norwayne should of been 3rd in the WCAL behind hillsdale and smithville. Havent seen o-town play yet this year but i have seen norwayne. Orrville will absolutely dominate norwaynes line. Norwayne better pray that it doesnt rain because passing is there only chance in this game
yes i know we lost to Smithville.....but come on 3 out of 4 aint bad.........
And thedemoralizer.....we were 3rd in the WCAL, so was Hillsdale, so was Smithville....... -

OQBBobcat, Norwayne's line is very good and deserves all the credit in the world for going to work every week so that Wallace, Zimmerly brothers, WR's can get all the stats.... I really believe Norwayne is 10-1 because they have a very solid line....you don't make it this far without a solid line.
This is going to be a good game and both lines are similar in size. -

OQBWho does have the best wrestling program in Wayne county? Just curious....
-
footballnut160 posts into this thing and someone from Norwayne actually typed something. I was wondering if everyone on here was going to keep talking about Norwayne without any input from the Cats themselves. That probably would've driven everyone crazy after a couple more days.
I've seen Orrville play a bunch of times and Norwayne 3 times. I dont have much to say. I think both teams are very good and similar in many ways. Good luck to the Cats on Saturday and GO RIDERS!!! -

I agree, Having seen Orrville play all year and the Bobcats twice (Smithville, Hillsdale)both teams are very similar in what they want to do offensively. This is going to be a great game with two great teams from Wayne County. May the best team win!footballnut;960792 wrote:160 posts into this thing and someone from Norwayne actually typed something. I hate to nit pick but I disagree with this. Monheim, Davis and Brenner have played significant roles each of the past 3 seasons for Orrville. This will be their 9th playoff game. The Norwayne seniors are playing in their 4th playoff game. To me...that's significant.
This will be the 3rd straight year Orrville has played in a week 12 game and will be the 3rd time theyve played at Medina in the last 15 games.
Orrville knows the atmosphere, the venue and the magnitude of these games....and we know how to win them too (see 2009 vs. Genoa, 2010 vs. Elyria Cath....both week 12 games.) -
5knots
I disagree with this. Our Senior class will be in their 9th playoff game. Some were starters that sophomore year vs Genoa in Ashland, some were role players/special teams, some were just along for the ride and the extra month of practice. Those games included wins over two undefeated Genoa teams who rolled every opponent for 3 years except us and Archbishop Alter. Those were BIG games. They included games against an Elyria Catholic team with the most prolific passing game say for Mauk and Kenton.....A Chagrin Falls team who moved to D III by 2 boys and rolled their first round opponent 66-14 Saturday night. You cannot discount the experience of situations like that. Every one of those games had intense moments where plays had to be made and coaching adjustments had to be made on the fly. It doesn't give you any points in the next game....that I agree with and is probably your point. It may not mean anything to your opponent either....and that is OK. It does however mean something to this group of Red Riders and hopefully they learned from these experiences and it pays off Saturday night vs the bobcatsTHE4RINGZ;960674 wrote:Again, the players taking the field Saturday night don't have a significant difference in play off experience. 1486wdi do think orrville will win this game, but I also think they feel more pressure to do so. Talk to anyone from orrville and they feel such superiority to everyone else in the county that losing is really not an option they can fathom. They almost remind me of an SEC college football fan, they know they're good, but they need everyone to tell them how good they are all the time (kind of like the pretty, insecure girl at the dance).
