    Oh well.
Doesn't Dover throw the ball like 60 times a game? No way that game would finish in under 3 hours.

I'm not sure where Big Red fans gets off calling Mooney a university. At least they are a parochial school so the whole kids from a large area makes sense. What is Big Reds excuse? Thanks to open enrollment they pull from Weirton, Wintersville, Toronto, Richmond...etc.

Should be a great game, too bad its in week 12, not week 13.

Or week 15, for that matter.

Hillbilly is clueless as usual. How about you name a few of these "recruits". Better yet, go post in the dOVER thread. This is the big boy football thread.

Let's drop the "recruiting" talk....on both sides.

When I played, three kids went who started listed Weirton as their home town...The QB before Collaros wasn't from Steubenville either...but I'm sure things have changed a lot in the last 10 years. I could care less. Its just funny that you guys call Mooney a university while doing the same damn thing.

Oh, congrats. Not our fault people drive out of dOVER as soon as they drive in. With any luck we will get the chance to deal with you next week.

    On to more important things...

Steubenville Mooney. What Region 11 is all about.

Current QB isn't from Steuby either, he and his dad rent a place their while mom keeps up the house in WVa, keeping tradition alive.

It's all HSFB, only thing that changes is the level of professional help the fans need.

Dover has statewide Open Enrollment also.

Name one member of the Dover team that uses open enrollment or "convenient relocation"

All of our kids live in Dover though. I guess the surrounding towns just have too much pride in their school to up and leave for a few years of football bliss.

Let me get this straight, in a thread involving Steubenville and Mooney, Dover people are talking about STEUBENVILLE getting kids from other areas?

Yeah, that or the name Dover just isn't impressive enough to draw kids.

I just noticed you used the words Dover....And Football bliss in the same sentence. Good one.

Actually I was pointing out the hypocrisy in steuby crying about mooney getting players. Back to your Massillon 2012 thread.

I reread this thread twice and only came across 1 post related to Mooney recruiting, and it was from a Massillion fan. Good players seek out good programs, that's their best chance to get noticed. We'll bring our best and Mooney will bring theirs, line it up between the hash marks and have at it. That's HS football at it's best.

I'll watch Big Red lose to Mooney with pride every year knowing these kids earn the right to play the best every year. And every year they give up their summers, hit the weightroom and practice facilities, and come back for more. It should be a good game.

I would say most of the better schools in football have kids coming from other districts! Steubenville has kids from other districts and its growing. I think its the parents wanting to send their kids to schools that excel in football.

Steubenvillve vs. Mooney, a great match-up not only in Region 11 but in the entire state..... why is Dover and Massillon even mentioned on this thread? Bunch of meddling kids....
  • quishicks91
Not so fast my friend on mooney beating big red. In all my years of high school football i have not seen a defense better than this one. It'll be a great game and can go either way.
  • I Am Ahab
Hmmmm. I'll admit I've only seen the 2011 Big Red team play one full game, but I would easily list 05, 06 defenses vastly superior to this. Hard to believe someone who has seen a lot of HS foot all would mention this D up there with some of the best.
  • ManO'War
I think they are better, thus far, than 06, but not near as good as 05, which to me was the best defense Big Red has had in a long time.

Just because your school system isn't good at attracting students, doesn't mean you can blame the ones that are. You sound just like pathetic school systems around us.
  • I Am Ahab
Idk. I'll take Collaros and Stevie Davis over any three players in this d backfield. Now remember this is judged on one game, the IC game. Those jump balls are picks by STEVIE or Zach in '06. Davis was a play- MAKER. My fav to watch.

Who were the other db's in 06? Gossett? Who else?
