Northwest VS Orrville

Damn Straight! Rank right up there with the Buckeyes of old. Saw Governor Tressel on the sidelines. Coach Whiting handed him the head set after the second play from scrimmage. I hear that the Nose Guard and D-end are visiting Art Bombz in Massillon to trade future State Championship Rings for Tattoos! LMAO

didnt look to good tonight. made alot of mental mistakes.
  • Lockup Screen
Very sloppy scrimmage in general by both teams. Varsity ones look decent. A lot of mental mistakes. Not the same team i saw play at Perry last saturday. Northwest won 13-7 in 2Q..JV Garfield dominated 22-0. Freshman won 6-0
  • oh yeah!!
i sure hope northwest can come to play i am just not sure, rumor is that vic will keep the boys home because orrville is that good oh well i guess we can try again next year
  • Flash
We scrimmage Louisville tomorrow and and you can come over and pick us apart or we can do that for you. Doesn't really mean anything. 1 week from tomorrow is all that really counts.
  • oh yeah!!
nothwest has taken a big hit with the lockout recently and it is beginning to show on the field.....what once was a dominant program seems to have fallen by the wayside of the rider faithful. if only we can regroup as an entire program to be like the red riders. that would take us to the glory days we have grown to expect from the indians. please red riders do take it easy on us next week we are in a fragile state of mind at the moment.

    ^^Annoying.

    Flash,
Well said. I doubt we'll show anything tonight. Line needs time to continue to gel and Kyle needs reps. Hoping for an injury free scrimmage.

I'm told video from the scrimmage will be on LeopardNation.com after the game.

    I second the "annoying" RR1!

y does NW even schedule a power house such as the riders? makes little sense
  • Red Rider Nation
Orrville looked really slow tonite. No size, no speed and Louisville manhandled us. The saddest part is we dont even have a nosegueard that can win games single handedly. Oh well maybe we can compete next year. Final score will be Nw 77 Orrville 10. I may save the gas next Friday and not go.

Ahhhh Beast see's a page taken out of the old "Beast for Bears: scouting reports for dummies"!

    LOL
  • oh yeah!!
guess that means this is like the toilet bowl or something maybe they should just let the jv's play and use that result for the w / l record pry be better off ...
  • Brutus
i here orrville was much improved and took it to the leps tonight. amazing what one week can do . see you all friday.. football season is finally here
  • oh yeah!!
this just in northwest does not even play defense with a nose gaurd so orrville will be fine!

Seniors, from Northwest and Orrville this is your last highschool season opener, enjoy it. NORTHWEST PLAY HARD PLAY TOGETHER.
  • RedRider1
NW (and Orrville) fans....get there early and wear your walking shoes. Parking is a mess as our new high school is being built in the old high school parking lot. Not sure what to tell you on where to park...but find a lot within view of the stadium and hoof it.

Lots at the elem. and middle school will fill up fast. Parking at the Orr Park (south of the stadium and a nearby church (also south of stadium).

Not sure if any plans are in the works to post signs directing fans to parking or what....just be patient and leave plenty of time to find a spot.

Oh yeah...what about spelling, grammar and punctuation?

Additional parking can be found on the south end of the school at the board of ed offices. This lot also connects to the lower portion of Orr Park now. You can now turn off of Ella St (at the board offices) and drive over to Elm St. (orr pool street) through the park.
Also consider parking at the lot near Pizzazios Pizza and Schmidt Hall located in Orr Park behind the back-stop of the high school baseball field.

As RR1 said..just get there early and leave the heels at home!

    GO RED RIDERS
  • RedRider1
I guess they had nearly 50 handicap cars park close to the school for the scrimmage.

Any parking near the school is going to be reserved for handicapped cars....so if I were attending the game, I wouldn't even bother trying to park at the stadium.

For NW fans, there's a shopping plaza off Hostetler Rd (1st traffic light coming south, Taco Bell at intersection). If you park at the extreme west edge of the plaza parking lot, you're just a short jog through an alley from basically being at the stadium.

    Easy in, easy out......

Shuttle buses would make too much sense, but there's a cost to go with that....and liability issues that the school probably doesn't want to deal with.

This is payback for all the long walks we've had to take at Northwest games over the years.
  • Flash
Were going to see how it goes the first game before doing the shuttle thing. We'd use school buses as the mode of transport.
