    I don't doubt that my friend....I don't doubt that.

That's why I'm playing with you.

So now there was a vote because, let me get this straight, some parochial coaches might get paid more than their public school counterparts. You guys kill me. When one of the parochial 8 said something about the parochial schools being good because of coaching you and Skank thought that was ridiculous. It could only be the recruiting. What a bunch of whining little girls.

I'm only a member of the public (what number are we at skank?). However, it seems to me that good programs (private and public) seem to have stability in coaching staffs.

We have made you an honorary member Al. According to Skank the only programs that benefit from good coaching is the public school. Parochial schools only win because they recruit. By the way, where should we send your new car since you have been recruited for the parochial 8.

    I only get a car? :)

Relax other members of the parochial 8. All of your cars will be delivered by the end of the summer. The houses that were purchased for your parents are currently in escrow, and should be closing soon. Your stipend has not been decided on yet, but don't worry...we have closed books and, worst case scenario, we'll just give it to your spouse.

Now each of you are required to go out and find a stud 6th grade football player. After all, that's what we do...we recruit 12 year olds to come to the parochial schools because God knows that a kid's ability on the football field pre-puberty translates perfectly to when he is in high school. It's just what we do...........according to some.

Skank, where do you think all this money that is being paid to private school coaches is coming from? At Alter the coaches are paid very, very little compared to any of the publics in our area. There's no slush fund for coaches' pay. There is a very successful liftathon, but that helps to pay for camp and uniforms and travel and overnight stay for the whole team for state championship games.

You guys who claim that there's a huge mound of money covering the average private school are real comedians. Drive by Alter sometime. Then look at Fairmont, Centerville, Bellbrook, West Carrollton, Oakwood, any Dayton Public school, Springboro or just about any public school you can find, and then tell me Alter's drowing in bucks. Ask any of Alter's teachers, coaches or administrators (either of them). They'll have a great laugh. You should do standup. Oh, I forgot, standup guys are a special breed.

Sorry Al, the Dean failed to mention that is a down payment. Going forward, your compensation is based on performance (aka, recruits) :)

rmolin, I thought it was clear that you were in. I guess we just took you for granted

Please don't tell him that. I don't want to see him out at the clubs. I can see ol' skank...sitting in the corner of a comedy club...all upset because "it isn't fair that the best talent goes to the Funny Bones and Improvs" and wondering how smaller public clubs could ever compete with those big cheaters!

    But it's true...we are a special breed.

I bet that whole area over there would comment on ursuline and Mooney first.

Don't ask me, I could care less if you pay them with some of the Catholic hush money, I didn't bring this up....And again, I could care less.

Nope, I would only get, "all upset", if it were an Ohio based comedy competition, and the owners of those establishments rented one of their homes to a comedian from out of state who would then compete in the competition.

Then again, the association would probably give them a $250 fine, and a strongly worded letter....If anything at all.

Didn't your school just bring in an out of state QB?

    Don't forget the McKinley transfers

    They're all over the place

Purple= I have said repeatedly that yes, EVERY kid who attends a parochial school is recruited. Of course this is caused by the OHSAA ruling that only public school districts can be considered K-12. Parochial schools are broken down to K-8 and 9-12. I have never denied the fact that even the manager on the girls soccer team was recruited.

Yes he did. But Massillon DIDN'T "bring him in." Again, his dad was transferred here for work.

The only "McKinley kid" on the roster resides in Massillon. Heck, maybe they are, I guess if anyone would recognize kids from different schools being "all over the place", it would be a parochial school boy.

No, that is just you seeing what you want to see. Everytime someone mentions dedication, commitment, coaching, hard work, sweat, tears, blood, my response is that those things exist in the public schools also. You and the boys try and play it off like public school kids aren't dedicated, aren't comitted, don't work hard, don't sweat , don't bleed, and THAT'S why the parochials win at the rate they do. Yes, I do believe that the recruiting plays a HUGE part in it, but I never said you don't have good coaches.

So, are you ok with kids transferring or not?
