It was toung in cheek nothing more , I am going to need an editor on this thread . I feel like im in a campaign -

Then you don't truly want to run all private schools out of business....is that correct? -

Ok I see his point but in my opinion it is hogwash... Those schools dont give a crap about a non parishiner unless the kid is good at football . and thats alot of catholic schools ...atleast the ones that dominate in football -

1. Why?Thinthickbigred;616623 wrote:...but my opinion is hogwash...
2. Those schools can't have a school made up of only football players. They do care about sttudents that don't play football. They care about anyone that is willing to come in and pay the tuition. -

There status just does not concern me is all .. ..private schools have theyre own purpose ,its all good. Maybe our nations resources can help underdeveloped countries in Africa and other places build more schools ... thats another question board -

I am sure they do ,but bringing in great athletes under scholarship from the inner city brings in revenue for the entire school and certainly for the other athletic teams .. Its a college system at a smaller scale . Which is the whole point of this thread. Nobody can proove anything against a private school for recruiting violations because they dont have the same set of rules that public schools have .... WHY DO YOU GUYS THINK THAT THE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS DOMINATE IN HS FOOTBALL?
im tired of hearing from idiots that I know personnally that say its better coaching ..Inner city teams have no discipline.. etc etc etc .. Its all bull -

That makes sense to me. It means you're indifferent to them. You neither want them run out of business nor to thrive because it doesn't concern you.Thinthickbigred;616632 wrote:There status just does not concern me is all .. ..... -

I agree for the most part. You've been very clear , however, that it doesn't concern you whether it's "bull" or not.Thinthickbigred;616640 wrote:... Nobody can proove anything against a private school for recruiting violations .... -

It concerns me that public schools dont have the same luxury -
Con_AlmaI appreciate your clarification. I'm not so sure that I agree, however, with the way you apply the use of luxury.

Look I am not against the educational system . more schools are good more teachers are good .. I am more concerned with the public school system however ... When kids in LA dont have enough chairs to sit on in a classromm ,that is a problem .. You know There are a whole lot more catholics in the LA school system that are Mexican or from Central America etc and If I was catholic and big on the catholic school system I would be concerned about places like that that need help from the catholic charities. -

The tax payers of LA get to choose at what level they are willing to fund their public schools. The federal money provided provides the minimum funding for educational needs. If the people of LA want a greater level of educational service they need to fund it.
Regarding the lack of chairs, how the funds that come in are applied is up to the local board. If they are applying resources in other areas and don't have enough remaining to provide chairs the "problem" exists with them. -

Really? It's bull when people claim that private schools are better due to coaching, etc? You didn't forget already that not too long ago in this thread...YOU said that Steubenville has a better football program than SCC due to coaching, do you?! Come on thin, why does that work for your argument...but it's bull when a private school supporter says it?
I've tried to show you on numerous occasions that all catholic schools do not dominate in HS football. It's a hand full of the catholic teams that dominate in football. And they dominate right along side a handful of public school teams that are always at the top. I don't know what you don't understand about that. Do I have to draw a picture for you?! -

When did I specifically say that Big Red has better coaching than SCC? Honestly ... I dont think I said that ... Maybe as a whole Big Red does but I like Centrals coach so I dont think I would diss him ..Besides Big Red is way above the curve for public schools and you know it ... Lets talk about on average .. .See you try more smoke and mirrors tactics ..You can always refer back to Big Red .. But can you refer back to 95% of the public schools as being able to compete with the very top echelon .. 5 out of 6 titles went to the catholic schools ..That says mountains to me and it isnt unusual -
sherm03That was your answer when asked why Steubenville does better than SCC every year:
And every time I do point out the public schools (with great programs, coaching, tradition)...::cough cough:: MAC teams ::cough cough::...you ignore it.Thinthickbigred;609480 wrote:causeCentral didnt want Reno as a coach ..But boy did he show them didnt he ...No we are the exception -

Buchtel will just have an easier path but North will continue to be garbage. Also tell thinthickbigred that no means no so he can stop violating you -

Actually, unless I'm mistaken, it's unprecidented (that means it hasn't happened before which would mean your point is incorrect). -
sherm03
That's true...at least from the private school perspective.queencitybuckeye;617080 wrote:Actually, unless I'm mistaken, it's unprecidented (that means it hasn't happened before which would mean your point is incorrect).
However, since the 6 division format was put in place in 1994, we have had public schools win 5/6 titles four times (1994, 1995, 1996, and 2006).
Public schools have won 4/6 titles five times (1997, 1998, 2000, 2004, and 2007)
By comparison, we have had private schools win 5/6 titles once (2010).
And private schools have won 4/6 titles three times (2001, 2008, and 2009).
Damn cheating private schools! They're taking all those titles away from all those poor public schools...and I'm tired of it!! /sarcasm -
