sure we do ...stay in the suburbs and keep recruiting like Urban Meyer ... Keep your non union teachers ..with no good pensions ,but hey atleast they dont have to deal with the really tough issues that public schools have ...

Real schools???? Big Red had 33% open enrollment on their football team this year and you're crying about "come back to their real schools"??? I stand by you being Steubenville's village idiot.

Wait...are we still talking about football? Glad to see that your true vendetta of just unbridled hatred against private schools has come glaring through. Now people don't just have to read between the lines anymore. You just blatantly talk about how you hate the private schools, and hope they close.

Keep being blinded by your pure hatred of private schools. It's quite comical.

Don't forget the 100% graduation rates, or the 98% rate of graduates going to 4 year colleges

Does Steubenville come close to either of those numbers, I think not

But Akron North will still stink

Hold your breath on that change thing. You're going to be disappointed

Make no mistake, urban schools and small town public schools will be the winners.

heck no .... Your schools for the most part get the cream of the crop ..you get kids who's families who can afford to send kids to these schools ..But it isnt the schools ..Its the families that these kids come from .... You have some very fine teachers ..But there jobs are alot easier than a public school job ....Steubenville high school provides a better education for gifted students than most private catholic schools I can tell you that ...They have far better rresources and they have an outstanding track record ...Look it up for real ... At the same time Our school was taking deaf students handicaped students and kids with other multiple problems long before any other local school around our area ever did or could .. ..just saying ... ..Now ofcourse if you can run with the rock at 4.5 a 40 look out free school ...."Ricky Williams and his buddies from Benidictine come to mind ... a bunch of stick up artists but hey they got that school a few titles

I'm on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Really...I am! Every day I log on here and click refresh every 10 seconds simply looking forward to your vague updates about how the OHSAA is going to bend over the private schools and how they are going to take a perfectly good system and molest it just so that people from terrible schools who can't compete can win themselves a shiny gold star!

Urban schools and small town public schools will be the winners of a system change...but let's face it, we'll all be losers in this.

This is not the "puddle", I recommend that you venture to other sections before you start crying to the MODS. That is exactly what will happen.

most very good teams have a big % difference dont they? Let the lies begin.... tell the truth for once catholic school fans ..I know its hard but try to be honest ...

thin, plenty of the comments on here which appear to be part of an intermittently rational discussion of constructing (or maintaining) a fair high school football playoff system come a little too close to being blatantly anti-catholic. you just crossed the line. % of catholics or amish or jewish or lutheran has nothing to do with anything. nothing. the mission of catholic schools, from kindergartens to notre dame, is to educate, quite independent of the religious background of the students. are you really this confused about how it works?

and also, thick, and i know i've said this 20 times and others have said it 50 times, it's not just 'catholic school fans' who don't want to change the system!!!! plenty of public school backers (clearly i support ironton principally) are also hesitant to change the system. many backers of ironton and programs like it (places that have been to the playoffs many many times) do not want the two-track system with one real trophy and one fashioned out of skank-approved juice boxes, one that would assure all the kids that they were 'almost state champs, except of a few of the really good teams.'

this defies and belies my own experience, having watched many pairs of siblings got to both catholic and non-catholic schools in ironton. (a town where, in what i'm sure is a shocker to you, the best football players often go to the public school even if their sibs go to the catholic school). you're not big on facts, at least if they don't fit your view, huh?

don't count on any facts... i hammered away at skank for two weeks trying to get one factual reply, one admission even that he was reading the full posts on here, considering them, thinking them through. it's not really part of the juice-boxers approach.

why would you want to run steubenville catholic 'out of business' ? (not that you can have any effect on them, but let's go with that thought for a moment)... how are they hurting you? is it really and truly an anti-catholic school thing masquerading as a football issue?

i have no clue what you're talking about and maybe you don't either, but do you mean that something will be coming along now that will let ironton be competitive? that's a real relief! not. do you mean after qualifying for the playoffs almost 30 times the ironton kids will now be subjected to some kind of second-tier playoff thing where they'll all know that don't get another shot at hartley because somebody somewhere felt so sorry for themselves that they messed up the whole playoff system to try to rig it so massillon washington could get a trophy?

Why did you do that? You delibertly misquoted a guy ... I dont know how you guys do it ... On JJ you would get banned ... ..All the names and stuff dont really bother me , but out right lying and deliberate falsehoods do

Who the heck is talking about Amish or Jewish ..I didnt know catholic was a race or ethnic group .. It was a question .. People like you make most people scared to ask questions when concerning race or different groups .. We are not all politically correct .. I am not scared to ask questions . I will not be intimidated into being quite. Ive been called a raceist hillbilly because I questioned why Ursulin's team is predominitly black and the rest of the student body ,band student section etc was white ... That point goes with my recruiting theory nothing more ... But boy did that get a reaction .. Fact is you dont know if I am a catholic ,and the other guy if I am black . ...Whether we agree or disagree on a topic lets not scare each other into being politically correct .. the conversation is better when open .
