It only looks like apples and oranges to you my friend. They look the same to me and the OHSAA. That's why it's ok to hold them. Why so defensive about the Massilon combine? Who actually ran the camp? I'll bet the Massilon coaches were there. Did Nike invite coaches from other schools to work their combine? Just some questions for you to dance around Skanky.skank;894372 wrote:IF? IF? THEY ALREADY HOLD ONE. HELLO?
Nike holds multiple combines throughout the country, I believe there is another one held somewhere in Ohio. Again though, the two combines are apples and oranges. -

Apples (Cleveland area combine) Area parochial schools, gauge the talent of MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, for their, (the Cleveland area parochials), benefit.
Oranges (Nike Combine held at Massillons Indoor facility) High schoolers show off their, (the high schoolers), talents for the benefit of themselves.
It's really pretty simple. I'm not really defensive about it, I guess you could say it's frustrating....Like trying to teach English to a monkey. Some get it, some don't, and others become English Majors. -

Whats stupid is your denile....You mean to tell me a kid would rather go to a school with no stadium a fan base of 2000 or would they rather go to Massillon and play at PBTS and in front of 15,000 people with the best facilities in the state Massillon cant recruit like the Monney's and Ursulins ... They are under restrictions ... How come so many people wont acknowledge that public schools have restrictions for recruiting but Privates can do it because you cant proove otherwise ...Rocket08;894235 wrote:What, are you blind, or just plain stupid
Massillon has kids walking their halls from all over Stark County. Heck, they got a handful from McKinley just a couple of years ago
You are absolutely clueless if you believe they play with only home grown talent
And don't even give my that State Championship crap. It's pretty telling that they haven't won one in 40 years, coincidentally, just when they had to actually be earned on the field
40 to 90 year old pcs of paper are just that, PAPER. It quit being impressive a long time ago -
Rocket08Well, what an intelligent, and well thought out response. I'm overcome
What you failed to mention, outside of all of your other tripe, is that kids actually go to the Mooney, Ursuline's and St Edwards of the worlds for an education. You graduate from 1 of those institutions, you go to college, PERIOD. No matter what that half whit brain of yours tells you, that's what it's about.
Do kids go there to play football, absolutely. And they go there, not because of the college stadium where they play, or the opportunity to play teams from all over the area, with a schedule that basically should embarrassed the hell out of both you and skunk, but they go there to play baseball, golf, wrestle, tennis, track, or any of the other sports where these schools have won state championships. And they go there to graduate, and go to college in numbers that you can't even count up to.
Tell me how many Masillon and Steubenville kids graduated and went to Ivy League schools in the last 10 years. I'd tell you our numbers, but it would embarrass the hell out of you. Every year, the 175 or so Mooney graduates get nearly (if not more) $10 million in scholarship offers. The vast majority academic scholarships. You can't even smell that
Your post is one of the most ignorant ones on the 109 pages of tripe here. You have no clue, are a hater, and back up absolutely nothing of what you say with facts
And finally, you complain that Massillon is under restrictions. That might be because the OHSAA has found them guilty in the past of illegal recruiting. Something that isn't the case with Mooney or Ursuline.
You whiny little public apologists can assume all you want, but at the end of the day, your skunks chasing his tail, and I'm looking at 7 REAL State Championship trophys
Enjoy your wonderful life down on the river -

So you are against Catholic high schools watching kids from Catholic middle schools working out? I have been to a few junior high games this year of public schools, and I have seen varsity coaches talking with the kids and standing on their sidelines after varsity practice. Are you against all high school coaches watching middle school kids or just Catholic schools?skank;894876 wrote:Apples (Cleveland area combine) Area parochial schools, gauge the talent of MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, for their, (the Cleveland area parochials), benefit.

I don't know any public school that is under restrictions from recruiting that any private school doesn't have. Public schools recruit students all the time. In fact, they ASSUME that they OWN all the kids in their district, and if kids choose to go elsewhere they act like they've been robbed. Recruiting students is perfectly fine under the OHSAA. You just have to recruit them based on the total educational experience, and not as a mercenary sports team. Because public schools set themselves up to rely on their assumption that they own all the kids doesn't mean the private schools are violating the rules.Thinthickbigred;894911 wrote:Whats stupid is your denile....You mean to tell me a kid would rather go to a school with no stadium a fan base of 2000 or would they rather go to Massillon and play at PBTS and in front of 15,000 people with the best facilities in the state Massillon cant recruit like the Monney's and Ursulins ... And the fact that Skank and some others hate Catholics and their institutions doesn't make recruiting students illegal or unethical. It just means Skank hates. Stop hating and eliminate the problem. -

Massillon ,Canton and Warren have all been sanctioned in the last 10 or so years .. They were prohibited from playoffs for certain violations... It is easier for the state to watchdog state run schools rather than private schools ... Private schools can intice kids from all over to go to there schools because they are not state funded ... Makes sense right?.. It just so happens they go out after excellant football players from very larg areas under no scrutiny ... Its simple math ...Its so plain and simple .aged jock;896170 wrote:I don't know any public school that is under restrictions from recruiting that any private school doesn't have. Are you sure the OHSAA ruled Harding ineligible for the playoffs within the last 10 years? I don't remember that happening.Thinthickbigred;896228 wrote:Massillon ,Canton and Warren have all been sanctioned in the last 10 or so years ..
