Is it time for private schools to have theyre own playoffs in football

ThinthickbigredIf the catholic schools dont have an advatage then how come so many of these schools dominate the public schools? Last year they won 5 of 6 titles and they are only 10% of the total number of schools... Its simple to me but lets here it

No, not really, that question has been responded to....It hasn't been answered.
Me personally, I could care less if they actually give an answer....I already know the answer. -

Oh, I see, so if sherman tells you that rainbows are made from butterflies landing on the noses of puppies, you'd believe it?
I thought you were too smart to get lured into their cult. -

Why should anyone even respond to it again after you've said that you probably won't even read it? You didn't read it the first time you asked. So why should anyone answer you again?Thinthickbigred;889895 wrote:I dont read it everyday and this is an ongoing around in circles thread .. Let me here why catholic schools dominate again pls
You want to know why? Go back through the thread and find it. -

No, I just don't whine and cry about a private school winning a football game and claim how 'unfair' it is.skank;890467 wrote:Oh, I see, so if sherman tells you that rainbows are made from butterflies landing on the noses of puppies, you'd believe it?

I havent heard any answers... Id like to hear from a few people as to why catholic schools do so much better . Why they won 5 out of 6 titles last year and that is not out of the norm even though they are 10% of the schools ...Nobody answers .. Pleas bring me up an answer to that questionGoChiefs;890562 wrote:Again, just because the answer doesn't fit your agenda, doesn't mean the answer is wrong. -

Ok Thin let's try this again. Try to read this really slow so it sinks in. They were better athletes!!!!!Thinthickbigred;891391 wrote:I havent heard any answers... I disagree that they're better athletes. My Alter Knights have played Big Red twice in state championship games in the last 5 years. Steubenville had better athletes the first game by far. In fact, the first two quarters Big Red blew Alter away. But Alter had a better TEAM. Alter hung in there, pressured Collaros, stopped runs and catches by unbelievable athletes, and almost won the game. The second game showed how valuable it is to have been there before. While the athletic scale was more equal, Alter's teamwork prevailed. If Big Red gets a great team from whatever athletes are there, why is it unfair for Alter to do the same?Thinthickbigred;891391 wrote:I havent heard any answers... As many have said before, why do you expect the same percentage of the population of private schools to be winners as the percentage of the population of public schools? Many public schools, particularly in rural settings, are the only game in town. When you have no competition for students or athletes, you often settle for lower results. You win your league of local schools just like you and figure that's a good season. Then you play schools that have to scrape and work to compete with a lot of other schools that have to do the same. Is it any surprise that you get your head handed to you?
There's no mystery here. And it's not unfair competition. A lot of times the loser is not used to the competition the winner has to survive. Other times it's two great teams, like Big Red and Alter. You, Thick, above many, should understand this. -
aged jockOne other point. State championships tend to be heavily influenced by coaching. Coach Reno is certainly top notch, I'm sure you'll agree, Thinthick. It's a lot easier for a private school to hire and keep a great coach who plays the right players in the right positions than it is to hire a public school coach who can ignore the politics and play the best players where they should play. That's another factor that favors the high end private school successes.

That 2006 Big Red team was certainly a bunch of all stars, wherever they came from.Thinthickbigred;889717 wrote:Im glad you consider a bunch of Steubenville kids all stars -
Al BundyThe better teams usually win. I know this goes against thinthickbigred's agenda, but Big Red has a great record against private schools in the last decade.

That part I agree with ... But How does 10% of the schools consistantly have better athletes if they dont recruit like a university?Dean Wormer;891661 wrote:Ok Thin let's try this again. Try to read this really slow so it sinks in. They were better athletes!!!!! -

I was in Michigan for work last week and was talking with someone up there who received fliers for the Massillon combine. It's a good thing they don't recruit because who knows what they would do under those circumstances.Rocket08;892258 wrote:And you don't?
