Certainly looks as though the team that plays the best D gets the win!

Yeah, it will probably come down to who can get that key stop. LV never got one and got ran off the field.

Yep, just a bump in the road, we also beat Elder, Mentor, Ignatius, Warren, McKinley and Lakewood St.Edward that year, so don't feel bad. Yes, it was 5 years ago, I could be referencing the 06 game, which would have only been 4 year ago, but you guys canceled the contract. It's a good thing you drove through and didn't stop, Massillon's a tough town, I have a feeling you wouldn't last very long here.

You do know the reason we canceled is because Massillon refused to play at Dover? and congrats that was a down year for us, and wasnt it your state runner up team? Massillon is a great program ....no need to rub it in that you beat a division 3 school

I thought this was a thread about Marlington/Dover. Why don't you let their fans chat about what an outstanding year each of their teams have had THIS year. Better yet, why don't you start a thread about what an outstanding season Massillon had in 2005. I'm sure the Marlington and Dover fans will leave you alone.

I've stayed away since page 3, but I have to defend my school, I'll stay away again, until I'm lured back in....Talk amongst yourselves, if anyone wants me, I'll be right over here. BTW, this is the quote that brought me back.

Also, BTW ecolfan, no, the that is NOT the reason, a 2 yr deal was done, Dover would have known the terms prior to the 2005 season, yet they choose to cancel between 05 & 06. Furthermore, "a down year for you" haha, you had the Ifft kid and the Gardner kid, it may have turned out to be a "down year", but trust me, you wouldn't have scheduled us in the first place if a down year was forcast.

I can't wait for this game!! Two great teams with great offensive fire power, though different styles!! But I think that Dover pulls this one out!! It will be close... Very close!! This just might be their year the Tornadoes pull it out! But whoever comes out of this region I will be pulling for!!

thanks hostile-amish . I think with you and your community pulling for a dover win it can happen . Thanks for all the support !

Calpreps.com projects Alliance Marlington to win, 31-26

This implies that both Dover misses 2 pats and marlington kicks a field goal. Both highly unlikely and thus calpreps is irrelevant and will be wrong a 3rd week in a row!

I am not picking a winner ... just waiting to say I told you so. ;)

You've already been waiting 2 weeks in the playoffs for that, I figure you can probably wait another week longer.

Don't get me wrong ... I am NOT a Dover hater even though you whooped Carrollton. I was rooting for you guys to beat Big Red.

    I love being the underdog...

Straight across the board the Canton Repository writers picked Marlington to win...there's a shock?!

Just a little more to add to the fire!

    Dover baby!!! Go Tornadoes...

I'm sure it'll be the same in the TR. Do they still have expert picks? Do they still put a paper out?

I am going to go with Marlington in OT. 31-28.

Dover has the experience.........at losing regional championship games. The NKOTB advance.

    Third times a charm right?

Dover by 3...I still say Marlington isn't THAT good....a very young and weak NW team almost beat them...nuff said.

Dover will win by 2 touchdowns, Marlingtons cornerbacks are in for a long night.
The key to the game is if Dover can get a early lead and force the Dukes to start airing it out to catch up.
I see Dover stacking the box this weekend and smashing the quarterback on the option play.
Hope he is ready to get hit!

    Dover 35 Marlington 21

Well obviously you don't think much of Dover either, if you're only picking them by 3 then.

An early lead won't force Marlington to throw, if the games they were behind in this season are any indication.
