Round 2: Orrville Red Riders 8-3 vs Elyria Catholic Panthers 10-1
-
thePITmanWow. Reading that article you'd think that Orrville stomped Triway into the ground, dug them back up, and ate them for dinner. LoL! It was 27-25. Either way, good luck to Orrville on Friday! Last year Orrville faced a very good Genoa Area team and won not only because Orrville was also loaded but because they don't back down to anyone. That's the whole point here, I think. They could be playing Ursuline or St. Eds, and they'd still bring the house and expect to compete.
Good luck, Orrville! Beat Elyria Catholic! -
RedRider1thePITman;552460 wrote:Did he say "swag" or "swagger"? I don't mind the word swagger. I consider it being "confidence with an attitude" which describes Orrville very well. But if it was "swag", that's just funny. Haha! Either way, we know Orrville will be confident going into this game and expect to play well and hope to win.
Swag....and he used it properly. You don't "have swagger"....you "got swag."
Ringz,
Pretty sure the writer is an intern/stringer. I had to use that "special to the daily record" tag too. It's done for tax purposes. Not technically an employee of Dix. Dorksen & his wife just had a baby, so they may be a man short. -

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/swaggera suspended wreath, garland, drapery, or the like, fastened up at or near each end and hanging down in the middle; festoon.
Or are you just saying it's "cooler" to say "got swag"? Is that really what BRF's colleagues are teaching in Orrville?to walk or strut with a defiant or insolent air -
THE4RINGZYet another example of how Lil Wayne is ruining our culture.

Wow. I should have known that a statistician would take things VERY literally.
You should look here.....
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=swag
"The way in which you carry yourself. Swag is made up of your overall confidence, style, and demeanor. Swag can also be expanded to be the reputation of your overall swagger. You gain swag, or "Swag up", by performing swag worthy actions that improve this perception. A person can also "swag down," by being an overall pussy and garnering negative swag for their actions. Swag is a subtle thing that many strive to gain but few actually attain. It is reserved for the most swagalicious of people. Swag can also be quantified, with point systems existing in some circles of friends."
Make sense now?
You're very welcome. -
thePITman^^ That is just too funny! If you really believe in the "Urban Dictionary" check out the name "Tony":

And by the way, "baney" (#2) was submitted by one of my best friends. Haha!

EDIT: lol sorry I'll stop now....lets get back to Football!!! -
THE4RINGZThis is what happens to a thread when only one team has posters on the site. We are debating the use of modern day nomenclature.
Yawn.
Can't we go find a bridge in Elyria to paint then discuss the merits of that? -
Con_AlmaThe Panthers will be sporting some new unis for this game. They were purchased and provided by an alumni this week.
-
THE4RINGZNew unis for the game didn't work out so well for Wooster you might wanna keep them in the boxes.
-
Con_Alma"I" might want to??? Why would I want to??
Who is Wooster?
Don't think EC follows nor cares what the result of Wooster scores are as they relate to wearing* or not wearing certain uniforms. -
5knotsshould have used the money for new dictionaries instead......terminatEr!
-
1_beastAhhhh Will EC warm up in one uni- then storm the field for kickoff with the "New" Uni's??? Who is the Home team?? Maybe Orrville comes out with ALLL Red then re-appears for kick-off in all Black!! The Chess match begins!!! Get in their heads Orrville.
-
thePITmanI remember showing up to the Orrville/Genoa game last year and both teams had on white during pregame and even during the coin toss. Genoa then took off their practice jerseys and came out in their maroon game uniforms.
-
1_beastEC did the same last week. Came out in Green and white for warm-ups...returned in all black(nike)

No. EC they will not warm up in one uniform and change into another.
Elyria Catholic should be the home team based on seeding criteria.
How in the world would a team "get in their opponent's heads" with a uniform change before kick-off? Lol.
If a team is trying to get into an opponent's heads I sure hope they have something better than that. -
riders1Hard to believe that with 13 playoff appearances, EC had their first home playoff game last week against Huron.

There was a reason for that and it had nothing to do with "getting in their opponents" heads.
Their traditional home jersey's are green. After warm ups an alumni was present in the locker-room with the new jersey's. The kids didn't know they had been bought for them until the "gentlemen" showed up. The AD knew and I have heard that Coach Malbasa knew also but the alumni couldn't arrive any earlier and the Ad wanted him since he paid for them to be the one telling the kids. -

That was surprising to me as well seeing how they have been in the State Championship game a coupe of times. -

Con, are you an EC alum? Or do you live in the area and are a fan?Con_Alma;552609 wrote:No. EC they will not warm up in one uniform and change into another.

So an Alumni bought NEW "jerseys" last week, and they are getting New uniforms again this week?
Edit: Con...check your PM's -
Con_AlmaNo. They are the same jerseys. I consider one week old as new jerseys.
-
5knots^ Nope not new....I will not buy anything from you on ebay! I consider a garment that was worn in the mud, sweated on, spit on, bloodied, a used item...just me.
