    LOL, You would!

Just took a look at the poll.............looks like we are going to slaughter (no pun intended) EC! Woo Who!

    Go Riders!

p.s. - I like that directions route you gave, RR1. Makes a whole lotta sense to go River Styx and left on 18.

I always figured the Daily Record viewing area was when you were sitting on the pot? That is why I was sooo confused about this whole All Star thing.....I didn't think anyone could see me in there?
  • OQB
I always go the river styx way...a whole lot easier.
  • OQB
5knots....here is the picture for you!

  • AllOhio
River Styx to 18...left onto 18 and then where? Thanks for the info!
  • THE4RINGZ
Turn right at the stop sign where 18 becomes one way. Turn right at the stop sign. School is on the left.
  • THE4RINGZ
Let me clarify. You turn right at the stop sign on 18. Then turn right at the next stop sign

    My original post was confusing.

Dan's Dogs is an awesome pre game meal
  • OQB
Are you going to any games this weekend Ringz?
  • THE4RINGZ
I am trying to get to the game. My wife and I have a deal about football season. I am trying to get an exemption
  • OQB
haha, ok you should be allowed to go until the last local team is out of the playoffs....good luck!

To clarify even more. River Styx to 18 and take a left. Go a few miles west til you hit the stop sign. Then follow Ringz directions.

Good job, Ringz. It's hard to punch out directions on a Crackberry, though, ain't it?
  • THE4RINGZ
I didn't negotiate that into the deal. I am planning on heading to the liquor store tomorrow and asking her tomorrow night.

We have a Lacrosse tournament at Kent State Sunday so that is also a factor.

But maybe me and The Captain can convince her tomorrow night.
  • OQB
Haha....once again I say good luck!
  • cf33
GOOD LUCK ORR. From the COLTS.
  • 5knots
    You to CF33.

For those of you with kids.....Dan's Dogs on the NW corner of the square in Medina is an awesome little hot dog diner. Ringz made mention of it. Great salads Great shakes and Great dogs! Old Juke Box. the whole nine yards. If you haven't been there...you have to go sometime.
  • RedRider1
^^Gluten free hot dogs...sans bun of course.

Sounds like EC likes the personal foul as much as we do...they had three last week against Huron. All late hits. Maybe the TERMINATER had something to do with it. As long as he doesn't have any swastika's on his leg ('83 Bishop Ready game), I think we'll be ok.

Oh and PS - $2 to park Friday. No mention on an inflated rate for RV's. Our side of stands is closest to the school.

And PPS - those pictures on the EC site can't be posted here, they're embedded as a slideshow.

Good Luck Orrville! Im backing ya, but I must say, the article in todays DR sounded very cocky. One player was quoted as calling it "swag", but to an outsider...it looked like blatant arrogance and cockiness.
  • RedRider1
I'll agree....but i guess at this point in the season...I want my kids to be confident.

Prove it on the field and then it's not cocky....it's backing up your talk.

We've said it here many times, when we play with that "swag" we're fun to watch. Some kids can motivate themselves, so need to be told they're not good enough to motivate themselves.

That's what the county schools will always think of Orrville, as arrogant and cocky. But hey....Haters gonna hate.
  • thePITman
Did he say "swag" or "swagger"? I don't mind the word swagger. I consider it being "confidence with an attitude" which describes Orrville very well. But if it was "swag", that's just funny. Haha! Either way, we know Orrville will be confident going into this game and expect to play well and hope to win.

This is why haters hate....did you not see me supporting Orrville ALL year...i just wished you luck and hope you win!!! Instead of seeing the whole picture, you just see it as "Haters gonna hate". SMH

DR article makes EC sound like a very good passing team. I see the game played 1 of 2 ways. #1 we try to go head to head against them in a passing duel and see who has the better QB and receivers and defensive secondary. #2 we set up a running game rotating Trey,Mason,Matt. A run setting up the pass game with long drives eating clock. My guess is the passing duel will be the way Davault calls the offense. He has put most games in the QB's hands and threw out a power running game attack practically all season. We tried a running attack against Lex. they shut it down so in the 4th quarter we went spread and won. Since then no more power running. I guess at this point in the season you need some luck to go with talent. Hope we get the luck this game. Special teams will be huge in this one.

Just trying to explain the "blatant arrogance and cockiness" from our side. And Orrville has plenty of haters....didn't necessarily call you one though.

Did you note the one comment from Tre about coaches "instilling" that swag. Kids from Orrville grow up expecting to win. With that will come a sense of confidence that some will mistake for arrogance.

    GoRiders,
Great post...and yes, I see it going the way of option 2 also. I also think that might not be the best approach.

Kids like Tre, Drew and Stew are going to be gassed chasing EC's receivers, I dont think we can ask them to be on the run the whole game without it costing us in giving up big plays. Think we need to run the ball and pick our spots passing. We've said all year that it wont be up to Kyle to carry this team, but that seems to be what we're perfectly ok in doing.

The key in beating a team like EC (or Ashland) is to keep their offense off the field. We got back into the Ashland game by running the ball and keeping our defense off the field. Two of our most impressive drives on the season we're against Ashland....we ran to set up the pass. THAT's how we need to approach Friday night, IMO.

I found the article entertaining and written on a third grade reading level. Why is the DR using independent journalist?

Regardless good luck to Orrville this week.
