and what were Lichti's numbers?
DR has them at -1 rushing and I believe 7-14 for 98 -

Agree!
Speaking of coverage, great job by the Beacon Journal (sarcasm). Great coverage by the Daily Record (seriously)! -
Drums of WarCograts Riders from your Stark Couny Injun neighbors. If we arent playing now, I am happy to cheer you on. I worked in Orrville for a few years and I know what a great community you are. Looking forward to seeing you in the fall.

OQBHere is one of the picture from the Lorain paper.....
and here is the comment under the picture.....
Elyria Catholic quarterback Danny Reaser recovers after being planted on a sack by Orrville defensive lineman Trevor White (15) and linebacker Matthew Davis in third-quarter action of the Division IV, Region 14 Semifinal. Elyria Catholic lost MORNING JOURNAL/NATE PARSONS
Haha, I was really surprised by that comment since they were all about EC this week in their articles. -
BRFPlus, Davis is #15 and White is #52! But, yeah, the young White boy has really come along this season and is a "force". Just try to contain those "off side" jumps this week!
-
OQBHaha, those article in that Lorain paper sounds like a 6th grader wrote them.....just look at the names of those who wrote them and that explains it!
No credit to Orrville was given, just EC beat themselves....classic catholic football teams! -
BRFOrrvilleQB;555941 wrote:Tre had the game of his life tonight and he didn't even score a TD.....
What an outstanding job he did on Rogers all night!
And speaking of that, #3 had carped to me about bringing up to him that he either scored zero touchdowns or multiple touchdowns. Then he scored one against Triway. He says I jinxed him. I say "Dude (because I am hip to the lingo, ya know) it had to happen sometime. Besides, we won, right?". He agreed. And we will continue our discussion on his performance last night on Monday and what a TEAM effort it was!
Riders1, I am sorry that I didn't see you last night to give you a BRF hello! BTW, in addition to RR1's "presence", I noticed Old Rider on the sidelines rubbing elbows with "The Bigs"! I'll bet you got some good comments off to the EC players when they were near you! -

haha I saw him down there too, he probably had a few clever lines for the players -

I was up high in front of the press box, 45 yd line. I also saw RR1 walking the side line and staying way down in the end zone so no one could attack him, and then him and Old Rider talking late in the game by the players area.
Great shot of the Monheim Steamroller rolling into the endzone in the lower left of all the pics in the Mornung Journal.

RedRider1Monheim Steamroller....love it.
I tell ya...it wasnt a lot of "chatter" directed toward EC...mostly encouragement to our guys. I always expect to hear a lot of "jawing" down on the sidelines...but it's pretty quiet for the most part.
I second the comments about Trevor White...he's almost a clone of Dennis Raber. -
OQBIt's hard to get mad at trevor for jumping offsides because he is so quick at the nose.....but still gotta be disciplined.
-
riderdad1Sometimes that wrestling stuff pays off, he's just trying to get the first move.

I meant to say that, Daddio! He is playing well, very well. ....my young friend, the White boy! #52.....brings that "swag"! -
riderdad1Thanks BRF, haven't talked to you for awhile. That was a total team effort last night, everybody is starting to raise their game. Keep the rider machine rolling! It's funny to hear he is a Raber clone since they have drilled together the last two years.
-
Old RiderBRF...no elbow rubbing just a case of a certain brother I have that has access to a pass. Hopefully that same brother can hook me up this week also!
-
FlashSomeone on the team has to have that crazy look in their eyes. It inspires others to push themselves, but it does have to be kept in check somewhat.

Yep, I saw the game, that was a good sack by Pirman, especially considering that he wasn’t accounted for at all……then what???1_beast;555800 wrote:……The "no show-over rated" Max set the tempo with the HUGE Sack for a Safety......
#52 and #15 had very good penetration into the EC backfield!
Some of both wouldn’t you say! EC’s run defense was totally absent and the Orrville O-line and running attack was very good.OrrvilleQB;555904 wrote:Either this team was not what it was talked up to be, or we are just that good...What a game tonight!
If there was a player of the game, sort of a toss-up between #25 Monheim, offense and defense and Simpson! Close advantage…Monheim!
I thought they should have opened 3rd quarter running the ball much like the 2nd quarter. Overall, it was a good game by Orrville. -
CCRiderDuring the first quarter of the Ohio State/Penn State game today, Brent Musberger described McGloin as having…get this…“swag!” Did anyone else catch it?
-
RedRider1^^Don't tell Pitman....LOL.
-
OQB
Only few players have it...and we have a whole team of those playersCCRider;557233 wrote:During the first quarter of the Ohio State/Penn State game today, Brent Musberger described McGloin as having…get this…“swag!” Did anyone else catch it?
You know your team has Swag when your kicker is wearing a do-rag!(sp) Haha this cracked me up Friday night!
Series...
Did you not see Pirman chasing the QB all over making him throw passes away, or taking off running? He did a lot more than just that sack he had on their second possesion, their is no stat for hurrying the QB.
As for Trevor and Matt (#52 and 15) both played extremely well, but the entire d-line was exceptional, there were times when we were getting pressure with just 3 guys! That says a lot about the effort those front 3 gave, White had a great game, but so did Ruesser and Graber! -
