OQBOh and pitman, Triway had an extra day to prepare for us, since we played Saturday.

Coaches, yes. But I doubt our kids were practicing on Sunday. Besides, we didn't even know who we'd be playing, yet. -
THE4RINGZThe extra day allowed me to scout Orrville in person.
-
5knotsI expect a very good game PIT. Every game is different....a fumble here or there...a dropped pass....field position....punt/kickoff return.....all these factors come into play. If we would be playing Clear Fork again tonight I would completely expect us to win the game. I would expect us to make adjustments from the first meeting and have more success. I understand all the talk from the Titan faithful all week. I was just busting all your chops for the most part. These are High School kids and tonight is a big opportunity for all of them. You cannot ask for anything more than an opportunity. We want them all to be safe. Oh...and if there were any Triway players who didn't get an opportunity to tour our first class wight room and training facility we can arrange that along with transfer/open enrollment papers....haha!

In that case..."No seat for you!" -
NWIndianNation01GO RED RIDERS!!!
-
THE4RINGZAnd if any Orrville kids want to tour our new weight room and training facility we can also arrange a tour. Our cheerleaders conduct the tours.
Why are you being so nice today 5k? Not your typically game day demeanor -
OQBhaha 5knots, we do need some lineman for next year....we better get on that
Triway is heading in the right direction with their new coach, and being blessed with great athletes. Making the playoffs 3 years in a row, and pulling out 3 consecutive 8-2 seasons is something to be proud about. Every tradition rich program has to start somewhere, maybe Triway has started their winning tradition and playoff appearances.
Like 5knots said, these are 16-18 year old kids and anything can happen on any given night. This is going to be a great game, between to county rivals who are playing for another week of football. Rider seniors can't go out with back to back losses at Red Rider Stadium though...that has to be in the back of their minds!
It's these types of games and opportunities that all the players need to take advantage of because they are not just an every week thing. You earn them by doing the little things in the offseason, being committed to your teammates, winning your battle on every single play, playing to add to that tradition, and playing for all those that wish they had that one extra chance to put on that uniform just one more time. Enjoy tonight guys, and play every play like it's your last!
Go Riders! -

I've seen you in action...you don't need a partner when it comes to keeping stats. She may be dispatched to get hot chocolate for all the media members.thePITman;545608 wrote:I think we're all hoping for decent weather, especially my statistics partner who hates cold weather (she has Ranaulds disease where her fingers and toes turn purple really quickly... and no, she's not from Triway. Haha!).
Oh...dress plenty warm, I'll want those windows open. Pressbox isn't heated so we won't be losing anything. -
OQBGot my carhartt's and Under Armour out last night...This is real football weather!
I remember back when Warren Harding was playing in the state title game with Maurice Clarrett. It had to of been 5 degrees out and just pouring snow on the field......talk about a cold game to sit through, but it is so worth it when you are watching football! -

It's been a good week and I get to set my clock back Saturday night! -
OQBAmen for an extra hour of sleep!
-
you think you knowGOOD LUCK
RED RIDERS !!!!! -
thePITmanBRR! I just got back from my 3-mile run during lunch that took me between the football field and the middle school, and the wind tunnel there was BRUTAL! Freezing cold. I'll be lucky if I can feel my knees in the next half hour. Haha! But once we got off that road and onto the one that goes by Orr pool, we were fine the rest of the way. Both teams are in the same elements tonight, though. No excuses.
Go Titans! -
THE4RINGZGlad I bought some hand and foot warmers. I am ready to go. T-minus 6 hours.
-
OQBWhere is the meeting spot tonight?
-
thePITmanOrrvilleQB;545835 wrote:Where is the meeting spot tonight?
I will try to be at the Triway tailgate (which begins 4:30-ish)... I should be there around 5:30 or so, I'm hoping. (Have to head home after work to change, get back, find my spot in the press box, then get back out to the tailgating.) -
THE4RINGZI didn't get invited to the Triway tailgate, so I am going to stop by Knots. Not sure what time but it won't be as early as I want because my wife doesn't get off work early.

Boy....that makes me feel real special.... -
THE4RINGZI thought it sounded very passive aggressive. I'll be the Triway fan dressed like an Orrville fan.
-
5knotsDrive safe.
-
THE4RINGZThank you.
Does anyone have an idea of how many tickets have been sold or are projected to be sold? -
5knotsOh, I'm sorry Ringz....there is not ticket requirement for my tailgate, just show up....it's all good...I'm not expecting more than dozen or so. There I go cracking myself up again....
-
THE4RINGZBRF sold me two tickets to your tailgate for $25 each. Did I get hornswoggled?
