You can research JJ's & on here & you will not find me blowing that kind of smoke up anyone's rear. I am not a big believer in the best all time at anything or hero-worship. They eat, breath & crap just like everyone else. They are however one of the best staffs in the state. Maybe ONE of the best coaching staffs in the country, their record speaks for itself.

If they were the greatest we would not have lost to Inkster last year. I pay to go see the games & as an American I have the freedom to criticize anyone I like & I have throughout the season.

As stated previously our talent level is off this year & it showed early in the season to me. I was shocked to read the Columbus Dispatch & Plain Dealer picked us to be in the title game. Obviously those writers knew nothing about D-3. I would have given them credit for at least being homers & picking Watterson.

RRR win, lose, draw we will get back after it next year & be a favorite in D3/R11

LOl What is it with you people ? Are you even a Dover fan? I see more people baiting us Big Red guys into arguments than us making excusses and crying about bad calls ...Who cares if a couple teenagers laid down on the ground after coming so close to winning . Is that a slight towards the opponent or just that they put everything out on the field ... BIG FRIGGIN DEAL ... How could some of you be insulted over that ? Did we as a team just start walking the other way when the game was over? ....You guys are just fishing for anything because you hate us so bad ... this is laughable ... Its over and you should be worried about Sheridan.

Great game from both teams last night. I can't wait to see how good Dovers QB gets with another year.... might be scary. Dover had 2 tough losses to BR a few years back but came in last night well coached and well prepared, and earned the win. The offense was brilliant, and the D showed up big time stopping BR in the red zone at least 3 times including the INT late in the half. The Dover team, the coaching staff, and the fans were class acts and if you have to lose it's better to lose to a team that respects your program and earned the win.

I'll be rooting for Dover (and their HS version of Peyton Manning) the rest of the year and looking forward to a rematch next year in the playoffs.....

We've all played our "last high school game", the difference is at Dover we shook our opponents hands and said good game/ good luck.

If the Dover kids are "good sports", where did they learn it from? NOT from the adults in your program for sure.

Maybe they didn't do it fast enough to satisfy "Mr. Football"?

Looks like you're more of a "sore winner".

And Damn that hurts....To, (even though I used it sarcastically), call you a winner. Well, I guess everything in real life isn't 100% accurate.

pusheDover no more. Dover got the monkey off their back, eh. Worst part is I didn't get to see the game until late in the fourth b/c some personal bs came up at the last minute. Sounded like such an epic game too. So p!$$ed I missed it.

Congrats 'nadoes. Would've really like to see that qb. They had him listed in the paper at 6'4 and some wt I can't remember. Where's he going to school or is he even a sr?

Good luck next week, you earned it by taking care of business at Death Valley!!!!

HS Football isn't rocket science, you don't have to play it to "get it". No one knows, or cares one bit if anyone here played.

That line is nothing more than a crutch that meatheads use when they're losing an argument... and this comes from a guy who played in HS (though I didn't get in much).

As for the coaching staff and kids not shaking hands, I didn't see it and there seems to be two side sof the story but in the past few years there have been players on this team who have gotten away with a lot of bs that would not have flown in the past. One minor example is kids now tking their helmets off on the sideline. I could have sworn for years no one EVER took their helmet off on the sideline. Now, you got hotshots taking their helmets off, looking up in the stands waving to people, "look at me"- type bs.

And I don't think anyone can deny that we've had at least one very big baby/poor sport on this team for three years prior to this one.

BR's coaching staff is awesome aand for the most part a bunch of nice guys from my experiences with them but they are not infallible. Some hs football obsessed Steubenvillians make 'em out to be this way but c'mon, they are human. Many were questioning the play calling after the Massillion game, but that's been happening for years and is probably more a consequence of losing than anything .

I've heard (don't take this to be truth b/c I have no idea, just what I'm hearing) there has been some major division amongst the staff, particularly the twoo fellas heading up the offense, due to a difference in philosophy. So much so that one will be stepping down after this season.

The QB, Swinderman is just a Junior. More games like the one last night and I am sure he will be getting some college looks. He definitely has the size and arm strength.

I could care less, but if you only realized that people posting things like "0-3 against Ohio teams" makes said posters look more jealous than anything and to be perfectly honest, kind of dumb, the 0 fer posters would stop. I've said it for years about Massillon, and it seems like it applies to Steubenville also, I think the people in our areas, (Massillon and Steubenville) would almost choose to see us lose, than to see their own team win.

    But hey....Keep up the stupidity.

Talk about stupidity how about your coaches throwning the ball when you were getting 4 - 5 yards a run and you try to pass with the game on the line!!!
    RUN THE BALL STUPID!!!! LOL

If you call 10(+?) playoff appearances, 2 state titles, multiple regional titles, semi-final appearances, multiple undefeated seasons this decade, and third most wins in the state ever having problems, then yes they are having tons of them.

Sucks to be a hater, eh?

You have done nothing but cause problems on this thread did you think you could come on here and dog Dover for the mistake they made 4 years ago scheduling you? Is that the what cures the ailment of being 1 and done this year?

Lad, I think its a sign of the times. I am less than a decade removed from the program and we never would've thought of taking our helmet off. Hell everyone wore white socks and they were either ALL high or ALL low, now there are all kinds of different socks and helmets off on the sideline.

Question for Big Red fans, why do you have like 6 guys stand on the 50 in a line when talking about kickoff /kickoff return?
  • Art Modell
Didnt get to watch it on tv but during introductions did the Big Red players say what towns they were from?

Get real, Capone. You know you taped the game for spank bank material later.

Honestly, I don't think that many people these days care about Massillon one way or the other.

Just sticking up for my AAC brethren. you guys wanna compare playoff successes? Or Regular season successes for that matter? We got our 800th win this season, where are you guys?
  • Mr.Bighead
Lol. I love hearing the haters. Yeah we went 8-3 and one and done in the post season. So what? This is the death knell for
Big Red football? Even the haters know in their Grinch like too small hearts we will be back again next year. My son is a Red player and everyone shook hands. Look people these are kids and prone to emotion. This was a very close knit team and don't take losing in stride because we don't usually lose that often. This was a difficult year and Dover always gives us fits. This was big game for them just like beating Mooney was a big game for us. It feels good when the monkey is off your back. I like Dover and have since I played against them in the
70's and 80's. They are alot like us. I hope they put it to Sheridan.

YOU, have done nothing but cause problems on this thread....Did you think that would make up for the failures of Steubenville/Dover pasts?
