WEEK 11: DOVER(8-2) @ STEUBENVILLE(8-3)

  • ManO'War
I guess the schedule wasn't too bad, since we finished second at 8-2, while our opponent of the same record barely squeezed in at 7th.

And SOME teams didn't even qualify at 8-2...now THAT is embarrassing!

The hypocrisy was in him saying I'm hiding behind a keyboard and then saying he would kick the shdhahdhad out of me...behind his keyboard...the last time Dover-Big Red had contract talks Big Red wanted Dover to come there twice. But that statement was more in jest to your 8 game home schedule.

Not once did I say " kick the shdhahdhad out of " . Just invited you to sit with the BR NATION and talk S*** then. At least I know you can read.

Oh yea. Playing that tough Cardinal O'Hara a div 6 team from New York has gotten you playoff ready.

You don't have a response to what MOW said about both teams finishing 8-2 yet one finishes 2nd in the region and the other barely squeezes in at 7th, so where is the logic behind you bashing our sched, which obviously did more for us than your's did for you?

I''l await your response on that (but won't be holding my breath).

Playing teams that are top dog in their division in weaker states is why you finish 2nd with the same record. West Virginia is pathetic in high school football. Dover's two losses came in the final minute of the game to two teams that won last night in Ohio's division II. The ECOL sucks, thats why Dover "squeaked" in but next year will be much improved and 8-2 won't be squeaking in.

Anyone any idea what the ticket situation is at this point??? Availability? What time the ticket office opens at the stadium?

I'll mention to Reno and Fred that we should seek out a bunch 2-8 Ohio teams to get the critics of the schedule off our back.

I didn't say that, all I said was thats why teams play teams from West Virginia, New York, Canada...boat load of points. Ursuline and Massillon alone make a schedule.

I'll pull for Dover in this one. Anyone who can lay the wood to Coshocton like that has my vote. Shock Harding Stadium tonight!

ManO'War, my daughter tells me that Dover has a big and agile kid that had a tragic non football related accident that left him in a wheelchair. He had high hopes and his career was cut short. I think he is one of the captains and will be wheeled out before the game. That's the way it was told to me, so look out for this lad. A real life tragedy.
    No cheers here.

Freak sledding accident last off season. He led the team out against New Philadelphia last week.
