100th meeting. Wooster v. Orrville

Series62
Well, I hope you don't keep saying that "until you're blue in the face" some of your fellow Riders might think that you've jumped ship to Wooster! LOL!Old Rider;535261 wrote:That particular night Clear Fork beat us by 33...but I will say it till I am blue in my face that Clear Fork IS NOT 33 points better than us! We just struggled to get things going offensively and that is a credit to their defense because they had a good gameplan to limit what we wanted to do.
That being said...I think Clear Fork will be tough to beat in the playoffs if they maintain that consistency.
GO RED RIDERS! BEAT wooster! -
THE4RINGZThere is also a church beside Buehler Milltown you can park in. Parking for maybe 150 cars. I will call someone there and see if it is OK Freedlander Park across Burbank road has some spots. There is a residential neighborhood just south of the school grounds for some on street parking.
Not trying to invade on your blog RR1 just trying to give some additional info. -

I hope you haven't misread any of my comments to suggest that I attribute #88's play as the reason Orrville lost to Clear Fork. As someone said before, Orrville was outplayed/outcoached by Clear Fork......and that made them 33 points better than Orrville that night.OrrvilleQB;535439 wrote:Interesting conversation tonight.... I would agree with you 5k when you said you could be the best player on the field and have no impact on the game.
Remember the Genoa game, they would call plays and audible to the side Chase wasn't on...it is a TEAM effort 11 will beat 1 all day everyday I don't care how good you are.
Let's get back to the Orrville/Wooster game
How will Orrville play against Wooster, with so much ongoing speculation and arm-chair QBing/Coaching, let's just wait until the final second expires! -
62_80_47_WooI have not been to Orrville in a couple of days, Anyone have an update on the bridge paint scheme?
I'm not sure how the players are managing (both teams), But as a fan this extra day sure seems to make for a long week! -
OQBRingz....no, nobody will trade me shifts!
Series62...I didn't misread your comments haha I knew what you meant! I was just making another point, It takes 11 guys on offense/defense to play together and win/lose as a team. Like the Genoa game, they were trying to avoid Hoobler, and other guys stepped up to make the stop and big play. I was one of those Rider posters who said we got out played and out coached in that game, and I hope the Riders make me a believer again Saturday night when the clock hits 0:00.
Let's Go Riders!! -
OQBDoes anyone think this game could make it or break it for McCreary and his future in the coaches hat?
-
THE4RINGZ
No unfortunately it won't. He has a long leash here in Wooster. Not sure why. I think winning this game will win him some points with the Wooster faithful but.if he looses he will still be there next year.OrrvilleQB;536241 wrote:Does anyone think this game could make it or break it for McCreary and his future in the coaches hat? -
OQBI just don't get why though, Hamsher has overhauled just about every other coach over there, so why not do it for football? He is holding them back from having a good football program.
Ringz... I have one more person to ask to trade me shifts....haha pray hard! -
THE4RINGZ
I have no answer to why he is so insulated from what I referred to earlier in this thread as the revolving door of coaches at WoosterOrrvilleQB;536285 wrote:I just don't get why though, Hamsher has overhauled just about every other coach over there, so why not do it for football? Maybe if he does beat Orrville this year he gets fired. If you know what I mean. -
BRFI did NOT like the Mayor's Proclamation in the DR today. Lame and desperate. I get that feeling of desperation this year from Wooster. They feel they have a good chance and are playing all their cards on this one. But don't forget, Woo, WE Riders have lost or tied MANY games in the storied series history that WE should have won! Don't forget the old saying: "throw out all the records for this one"!

I thought that was a joke myself... hahahaha
records this year shouldn't be the issue. Let's face it both teams should be 7-2, Orrville got hosed in that Copley game.Don't forget the old saying: "throw out all the records for this one"! -

I asked Keri in person why Mike still has a job. The answer I got was "he's really good with the kids"
Look at it this way, Ol man McCreary finally got jerked outta the booth this year. so they are making progress. -
THE4RINGZOf course you didn't like it BRF. You are a cynic middle aged man. It was not an act of desperation as you like to erroneously label it, it was a notice of celebration. Our mayor is encouraging city wide participation in this weekend's events surrounding a historic athletic event. I felt a renewed sense of community pride as I read those thoughtful words written by such a caring and popular elected official.
That or maybe all the political ads I have been overwhelmed with recently are sinking in to my subconscious -
BRFOk, I take back what I said...no, really...I don't. Thank you for calling me "middle aged". You get good points for that! Ha ha ha! Desperation time. All in!
-
5knotsThe harder they fall!! I can't wait. Good job today BRF......great drums by those kids, wow! they need to walk around the crowd and do that like the buckeyes do. Tell Mr. Jones that.
-
BRFThank you and glad you enjoyed the show that kicked off the weekend festivities! People really seemed to enjoy the drums and I will be sure to tell Mr. Jones. Go Riders!
-
OQBGlad things went well at the assembly today....never doubt BRF with creativity and jokes. Lol
-
OQBNice win by the volleyball team tonight!

I didn't like it....but because it had several factual flaws.
Said Wooster had the largest margin of victory in the series at 55 points...but any simpleton with internet access can look at the file on my site and see that it's just wrong...Wooster has beaten us by more than 55 on several occasions.
He mentions 30 shutouts....and that's correct...but did he mention that 28 of those 30 happened before 1967? Nope.
He acts like this rivalry has been completely one sided in Wooster's favor......I guess if history stopped in 1957 that may be the case. -
OQBThey are just trying to create an "edge" over there in wooster....
Anyone catch the special they did on the series in the daily mistake? Very nice. -
THE4RINGZYou Riders fans are too funny. I am sure the proclaimation in The Courier Cressent didn't favor Orrville in any way.
-
5knotsWord on the street is Woo's RB is playing. Glad Woo will be at full strength.....don't want any excuses. We must have had some bad info on the concussion.
