Norwalk St. Paul def. Grove City Christian 52-7

zaurusLets get this thread started. Good luck to both teams.
-
newarkcatholicfanAnother game that has two teams playing that I like.
I say N.S.P.takes it by three scores. -
sandwalkBest of luck to St. Paul. Lets get it done, Flyers!!!
-
ArnoldAny links for highlights, stats for Grove?
-
oozwajArnold, highlights of their game vs Malvern is linked in the thread of their game.

ridgerunner88No one has given any due to Grove City this year but they're still here. Ursuline still has to be the odds on favorite. I thought they were out when they were down by 14 at half, then they come out and outscore you 33-0 in the second, wow. Good luck GCC.

underdog32Congrats to both teams for making it this far. The state semi-finals is quite an accomplishment. It is even more impressive that Grove City Christian has only had a football team for the last few years. Looking at GCC's schedule, they only had 1 win in the regular season over a team with a winning record. They didn't play anyone. They did win 3 playoff games to win their region though. Other than looking at their schedule I don't know anything about GCC. How is their size and speed? This St. Paul team is incredibly fast and can hurt you in so many ways. They run and pass the ball well. They play a smothering D that doesn't give up much. I will not make any score predictions yet, but I think St. Paul wins this one to go to their 4th state championship game.
Calpreps projects a SP victory 40-12. It will be interesting to see what Drew Pasteur comes up with. But of course all those projections mean nothing. The only thing that matters is the score when the clock hits zeros. -
GoChiefsWill be played at Ashland Community Stadium.

timbo_hoagieGo Eagles! Represent D VI in Central Ohio!

What does a division 5 school have to do with this game?ridgerunner88 wrote: No one has given any due to Grove City this year but they're still here. Ursuline still has to be the odds on favorite. -
Tigerfan00Im thinking he doesnt know what Division Ursuline is in.

Sportscaster17It's always nice to play a new team in the post-season. GCC is a very good team and has constructed a championship program in a very short period of time under Coach Lucas. It will take a very big effort for the Flyers to advance to their first state finals appearance since 2004. But I believe they are up to it. It's also worth nothing the Eagles won their playoff opener over Rosecrans on the road and that's no small accomplishment.

MessyDinosaurI'm interested in finding more out about GCC, someone give us something to chat about! No predictions from me until I see this team in action or on paper! Goodluck Flyers!
-
CardsFlyinHighGood luck to St. Paul. Represent the North well. I remember seeing Sweiterman play 2 years ago as a sophomore and new he would turn into a special player, hope you guys go all the way.

wags6817Here are some highlights of GCC when they beat Shadyside in the Regional Semi.

MessyDinosaurI watched last nights game and the shady side highlights and these are my thoughts: Obviously they are a good team, they have made it this far. They aren't big so I am assuming they are fast. From watching the Malvern highlights it didn't look like Malvern was on their A game. In both games GCC showed a lot of emotion and that isn't always a good thing, but its not necessarily bad either. Never the less I think GCC will be a good test for the Flyers. If the Flyers can play St.Paul football I will take them by two scores. Good luck and have an injury free game!
GO FLYERS! -
ButkusGood luck to the Flyers in week 14 St. Paul has to do a better job in the red zone if the want to be playing in 2 weeks. That being said, if the Flyers take care of business and don't turn over the ball I like their chances. Having been to this level of the playoffs before will also be an advantage. GCC has earned this trip to the Semis, let's hope this game is as entertaining as SP-BW last Saturday.

Opps, my bad. Don't know what I was thinking. My pick this year for D6 was Ada. I thought this was their year to get past DSJ. At least they made a good showing and took it to OT. Some have said DSJ got a gift of a no call on the game tying drive in the fourth. Nobody good enough to stop them now IMO.....As far as credibility, I posted all my picks before the playoffs, where's yours?Sonofanump wrote:

MSML in R22
NSP over BW in R21

I only have St. Paul left in my D6 bracket.
I follow D3 the closest and have all four left but it is a lot easier to pick, 3 ones and 1 two seed left. If you picked 5 of 6 teams in the three regions before the playoffs that's impressive out of 24 teams especially with an 8, 4, 2-2s, and a 1 seed. -

Major improvement as the season went along. They pounded Rosecrans in round 1 but lost to them in the regular season.Sportscaster17 wrote: It's always nice to play a new team in the post-season. NSP better care.. continue to look down on GCC (like Ros, Shady and Mal did) and Reg 23 to your own peril... we bring The Hammer.. may not be enough this saturday but it will be a good game I think.Sonofanump wrote:

Rosecrans didn't look past GCC, they just couldn't handle them. Rosecrans won a tight one in week 8 against GCC 10-7. They knew what they were in for, couldn't stop it. It would be great to see a Grove City title after all the trouble with the SW district this year. Good luck GCC.Dave33 wrote:
