    Malvern 9-1
6 games out of division including a 1 point loss to Ridgewood
Made the State Semis last year
Half the teams on their schedule this year had non losing records.
Win over Tuscarawas whose only other losses were to a Div 4 and a Div 5 team.

    Shadyside 5-5
3 of those losses were to Div 5 teams (Ridgewood 10-0/Monroe Central 9-1/Wheeling Central Cathlic 6-3)
Win this year over Div 4 Holy Cross
I would say that both Mogadore and Wynford would beat any of the teams GCC has played so far in the plyoffs by 4 scores.
Both those teams seem MUCH better than NSP on paper and looking at their schedules looks like NSP may be lucky to be where they are (looking at their weaker schedule)
And does anyone really believe that any team goes into that weeks game and is going to say "hey we suck you're going to kick our ashes"?? Heck no, all teams/players are confident......and they should be
Now that just shows you may have been in the 'special olympics' (too quote you). We are not saying you should say 'you suck' but you should not underestimate your oppenents. I sure know we are not and have not underestimated any of our oppenents in the playoffs, it's just we are now sick and tired of the over confident boasts/bravado from our previous victims and the talk like yours.

This will be a great football game and the best team will win. But you won't find us saying things like "the real playoff game was last week", "we are going to roll", etc. It be me saying "GCC by 6 scores!"

It's you folks ATTITUDE that is amazing and all we Eagles supporters are trying to warn you peeps about is we've heard all this crap before week after week.

    BE WARNED.

My first prediction GCC 30 NSP 29

    Region 21 - Bucyrus Wynford
    Region 21 - Hopewell Louden
    Region 21 - McDonald
    Region 22 - Delphos St. John's

The fact that you heard all this crap before should better prepare you to here all of these prognostications again. Whether it's crap or not we will know around 9 PM on Saturday. Until then, these posts are each individuals opinions and I for one believe in the first amendment.

A quarter of the 'home side' is going to be for visitors. WHAT YA SAY GCC FAITHFUL...Let's get there early and take the good seats!!! (Don't forget to wear White!)

Buy you're pre-sale tickets, this way you don't have to wait in a 15 minute line.

They had a quarter reserved last week too. What I'm saying is your fan base is split up a quarter in the end zone, a quarter on the home side and half in the visitors stands. not very equitable for the visitors. At least I'll be closer to the bathrooms this week.

Dave, maybe you should chill a bit and go back and read who turned this conversation personal...... you did.

I made the comment that GCC better bring their A game if they want any hope of winning and that they had not played anybody. Both my opinions and I still believe to be true. You threw up all the NC and tradition and started attacking the FLyer fan base.

I only know that I will be on there congratulating GCC on a good game win or lose after it is over. Will you be on here doing the same after the second thanksgiving turkey of the week is cooked?

I will post my score prediction later in the week, because God forbid it will sound cocky..........

PS- Malvern was NO where close to the same team without their stud 1800 yrd rusher. Sorry, string me up for that opinion too. But true my friend

    Dave33.

Weak schedule insofar as 4 league games and the SMCC game for St Paul, but they blew them out very easily. Some of those games, 2nd stringers were in during the first half.
The other 5 regular season teams St Paul played are probably better than the best team GCC played in weeks 1-11.
  • buckeyedan
    hard to say...
Only 1 of those 5 made the post season and they lost round 1...
GCCS certainly didn't play a tough schedule... St Paul's regular season was fine but not earth shattering.

it's always hard to compare regions when they don't have common opponents
  • MessyDinosaur
Zaurus, the WLKR web radio has not been working well since before state volleyball, do you know if it has been fixed?
  • jlghoops
No one has answered my questions from the second page. Is the kid from GCC that was taken away in ambulance going to be ok? From our stands, we never saw him get hurt, but did see large lineman guarding him on sidelines.
  • 94hoops
I would say that you can get a vibe for who these teams have played and how comparable they are thru looking at mutual opponents from their playoff teams.

Malvern played East Canton and won by 7 points 35-28 while Mogadore played East Canton and won by 33 points 46-13. Malvern played Lowellville and won by 38 points 45-7 and BCWR played Lowellville and won by 44 points 58-14. By looking at these numbers I think you could say that Mogadore is a few points better than Malvern. Calpreps would tell you that Mogadore would be a 1 point favorite vesus Malvern. So I think it's safe to say that based on these scores and all of the stats provided that Mogadore might have a slight edge over Malvern.

I think you could also say that GCC is a few points better than Malvern while NSP was 42 points better than Mogadore in the first half alone.

What does all that mean, absolutely nothing because Mogadore is not playing Malvern in the state Semi finals. GCC is playing NSP. And I think the stats indicate that NSP is a few scores better than GCC. We will see on Saturday night though.

Yes. My understanding is that he will be OK. He had had a concussion (with loss of consciousness) at practice about 10 days earlier. During this game, he was knocked unconscious again, so I think they were just being very cautious.

    Thanks for asking.
  • oozwaj
I'm no Dr or expert in football rules, but doesn't two concussions in a short time period remove you from contact for the remainder of the season? Hoops??

Just glad he has nothing worse and is ok
  • oozwaj
Anyone who doled out the twelve bucks next door..... just wondering what the Poll numbers said for this game??
  • wesflyer87
where is Linder's located? Is that the place to be before the game, or does everyone just meet up in the parking lot?
  • Sportscaster17
I didn't pay the $12 but 59 of 66 respondents are going with the Flyers. 60 percent of precincts reporting.

I listened to the first period of the game vs. Wynford on WLKR site and had no problems whatsoever.

EDIT - But as I read further, Skatman is saying OHSAA rules prohibit the streaming of broadcast on the internet. So you apparently won't be able to get the game on the web site. Just another in the long line of head-scratching rules the boys (and girls) from Roselea Place come up with.
  • 94hoops
Linder's was the place last week for those that could get in. NSP had the entire upstairs filled and that was with turning the tables over twice. Great Wings IMHO and when it comes to food I don't mess around.

I would assume that several people also hit B-Dubs but why do a franchise when you can hit a local eatery. Not sure what the parking lot situation was like but I know their callinf for it to be cold this weekend so I would think one of the area hot spots will be busier than their. All let you know when I hear more.

Hey Sportscaster, is Linder's still in the family or did they sell the biz several years back. Their use to be a NSP helmet in there but I didn't see it on Satuday when I was there.
