Please explain to me how Dover would get an extra .05 points if Meadowbrook beats Cambridge and Coshocton beats River View. Dover played all four of those teams!!! It makes no sense to me.
By the way, Meadowbrook will not beat Cambridge and Coshocton will beat River View.
Dover beat both Meadowbrook and Cambridge. They play each other this week. If Meadowbrook beats Cambridge, Dover gets 5.0 L2 points. If Cambridge beats Meadowbrook, Dover gets 4.5 L2 points. Dover will get at least 4.5 points from the game. I already figured those 4.5 points into Dover's minimum total after week 10. Dover will get an extra .5 points if Meadowbrook wins. Since Dover's L2 divisor is 100, you take .5, divide by 100 and multiply by 10 to get .05. So, if Meadowbrook wins you add an extra .05 to Dover's average. If Cambridge wins, the points are already figured into Dover's average. The same situation occurs for the Coshocton/River View game. Hope that helped. -

You sir are an idiot...I can honestly give a rats *** about Steubenville City Schools. Keep pounding your own chest, building a winning program and tradition takes a while sometimes and I'm in it for as long as it takes. Cowards and Turncoats loves to hop on the bandwagon of schools and programs that are already established, and my question is , whats the pride and honor in that? especially when SCS supporters have no respect for the community that you live in ? I for one find Big Reds level of arrogance quite hilarious.....Big Red is the Boise State of Jefferson County...Thats it thats all...LOL
Thats funny , How many titles does Boise State have? .... Now whose the idiot? -

"pounding my chest" Go read post #462 I was defending Creek then creekloyal took a shot at Big Red with a recruiting slur. So I replied. If you don't give a rats ass then shut up about us. Go help them get the basketball uniforms out and start handing out the jocks. Funny how when a player plays for Creek or HC or any other Buckcry 8 schools, he is a good athlete, a good friend. But let him transfer, then the name calling begins" Coward/Turncoat" and much worse I've seen and heard.
Big Red losses players/students, we just don't CRY about it. We say thank you and move on to the next one. We see just how Buckcry 8 schools handle things. No one school owns these student-athletes....boy talk about arrogance. lol

ManO'WarHey, when is that Big Red vs Indian Creek playoff game that SOS promised us going to be played!!
LOL -
Hip Hop/Logicbomb@ War_Admiral and D. woods50fan
As far as you War_Admiral you love saying "Buckcry " that speaks loads to what you think of other teams in the valley. My problem has never been with the Big Red football program but rather the Dillusional fans that run their mouths on forums Big Red is the Boise State of Jefferson county as every now and then they beat somebody their not supposed to, but more often than not they get pounded when they try to run with the big boys...as proven by your 2 loses this year. And may I add that I can give numerous examples of this happening in your schools past. -
ManO'WarWhat would that make Wintersville/Indian Creek then??? Bethany? No, that's putting down the Bison....more like Jeff Tech, they even had the same colors!

I really don't know what your getting at, but it shows your total lack of judgement and respect.....I could go after you with some personal attacks, but that would be dropping to your level.
And on a side note...ICHS is still building thier program and I for one believe it is headed in the right direction. Just because we cannot beat Big Red means nothing to me now and Big Red is not the stick by which ICHS needs to measure there program against. ICHS needs only to be concerned with laying the foundation to build there own tradition....and tradition takes time to build!! -

Well, you already called someone an idiot this morning, so obviously you have no problem with personal attacks!
(also, consider this your warning regarding them ) -
DarkonBig Red does not even have the best record in the county right now. LOL
Still the best team. Just does not happen often. -

War_Admiral referred to the Buckeye 8 as the Buckcry 8, I mean ..I guess he gets a free pass on describing supporters and participants of the "BUCKEYE 8" as cry babies? This is the rhetoric that seems to be acceptable from supporters of SHS on these forums in regards to other teams/supporters that are not THEM.ts1227;532045 wrote:Well, you already called someone an idiot this morning, so obviously you have no problem with personal attacks!

Oh well...warning acknowledge and understood -
ManO'WarHow long are we going to hear about "IC building their program"??? They have been around for 20 years, and before that it was Wintersville, which is pretty much the same school (same building, students, teachers, BOE, etc..). They are not building anything, they are the same, or getting worse.
Their measuring stick better not be Big Red, because they will never come close to measuring up. -

But I'm doing the best that I can. -
ManO'WarJust being realistic.
Just like I can say that Big Red will never measure up to Canton McKinley or Zanesville in basketball. -

What was Big Red before Bob Hedmond arrived , becuase I can remember...I was there , I can remember decades of mediocre and underachieving football and coaching ! I mean lets not act like SHS has always been what they are today, it was not until 1981 that you guys made the play-offs. And before you go there Post 1972 format means nothing!!! Those titles were not earned on the field.ManO'War;532060 wrote:How long are we going to hear about "IC building their program"??? ManO'WarWell, we had 3 coaches, which didn't last long since they didn't produce, after Abe Bryan. Tom Gardner, who ended up out the road, didn't have any good teams. Bill Bohren did some good things, and his 76 squad was a tie game away from making the playoffs. Jerry Harris had a good team in 79. So it wasn't like Big Red was horrible in the 70's, and they were also in the All American Conference, playing the best of the best, not lining up vs the sorry OVAC teams.
So it wasn't "decades", it was from 73-80, with two good teams sprinkled in.
BTW, 1981 was the first year Big Red made the playoffs.
And yes, pre 72 does count, because Big Red was playing big time football long before Wintersville existed (the village or the school). -
Hip Hop/Logicbomb
To bad you don't know Wintersville (WHS) history, because if you did you would realize that frm the 60's to the early 80's we had some pretty good ball clubs under the Directions of Kettlewell 60'-70's , Saccocccia Late 70's early 80's, Radakovich and Fornsaglio 80's. So whats your point ? Hell, we even beat you guys back in the ealy 80's not once but twice ,so that sorry OVAC schedule must have not been that big of a difference compared to the ole All-American Conference...LOLManO'War;532083 wrote:Well, we had 3 coaches, which didn't last long since they didn't produce, after Abe Bryan. and on a side note Wintersville football started in 1936...not super old but not green -
ManO'WarThe All American Conference disbanded before Wintersville was added to the schedule, actually that was the only reason they were added...to replace Massillon.
And yea, I know about Wintersville's football history. But look at the teams they were playing when they were having good records, which is why they never even sniffed a title in the AP voting system. -

Really? Well lets take a closer look and you tell me if you think they're headed in the right direction!Hip Hop/Logicbomb;532035 wrote:@ Manowar

- Since 1993 they're record is 87 - 84* (.509)
- Appeared only once in the play-offs and lost in the first round to Thornville Sheridan by a score of 28 - 6(1996)*
- Averaged only 5.1 wins per season.
To get a better idea if they're heading in the right direction, lets take a look at this graphically!!!
This graph tells me that indeed they are not headed in the right direction!
IMHO, in order for IC to really start moving in the right direction, they need to start by doing a couple of things; one of which is get out of the Buckeye 8 (I won't mention any more than this). That conference does nothing to help the upper division schools and the level of competition, although pretty even across the board, is very low with respect to the rest of the state and doesn't prepare any of the teams for the post season.

Dovercan we just open a thread called "big red pissing match" and refer what seems to happen in every thread (at some point) there?

You sure about 1976? Big Red finished 17th in the region...58 points behind Mooney. I doubt that you would have picked up 58 points from beating Niles instead of tying them.ManO'War;532083 wrote:Well, we had 3 coaches, which didn't last long since they didn't produce, after Abe Bryan. ManO'WarNo, I was thinking of the loss to Glen Oak on the play that they called our punt returner's knee down (he returned it for a TD)....and the tie to Niles.
That team finished 7-2-1 with a loss @ Massillon too...which was kinda shady. -
