ALDS- New York Yankees vs Cleveland Indians series thread

mhs95_06Kipnis didn't prepare enough to throw before the ball came down!
-
TBone14Huge run for the Yankees to get that one back.
Damn. Horrible defense. Just killing us.

Ironman92I know Kipnis isn't a CF but how the hell can he not get any momentum coming forward with a critical run on 3rd? Hard to believe. That may be the difference in the game.
Jackson has to be in CF...get Urshela out of there, Jackson won't be worse and overall defense better -
Laley23Defense man. 6 unearned runs. That's pathetic.
-
TBone14Kipnis was an All American CF in college. Not like he is learning it new.

BRFAt least we have shown we can score.
-
vball10setOur strengths are now our weaknesses—if Kluber can’t get past the 5th Wednesday, our season is done. I may be exaggerating, but isn’t Urshela basically responsible for 5 of the 6 runs?

He messed up some pretty routine footwork on that runTBone14;1876388 wrote:Kipnis was an All American CF in college. Not like he is learning it new.

vball10set...so much for our MVP candidate

TBone14
You are not exaggerating. Single handedly undoing an incredible season.vball10set;1876390 wrote:Our strengths are now our weaknesses—if Kluber can’t get past the 5th Wednesday, our season is done. I may be exaggerating, but isn’t Urshela basically responsible for 5 of the 6 runs?

Without question. Added to the list of bonehead plays today.Ironman92;1876391 wrote:He messed up some pretty routine footwork on that run

vball10setUp 3-1 in last year’s WS, lose three in a row...up 2-0 this year...?!?
-
vball10setfrom bad to worse...complete collapse
-
TBone14Cya Wednesday. These guys pounding the ball and taking advantage of all our mistakes.

SportsAndLadyYanks held serve at home. Wouldn't act like the sky is falling or this is some epic collapse; it's hard to win in the playoffs especially on the road. Still have Kluber at home in Game 5.
-
Ironman92This team is going the wrong way insanely fast....Tito, Kluber, Lindor, Ramirez, Santana, Miller, Allen
I really trust that core of Indians....I think they find a way to get it done. Fingers crossed. -
vball10setIf not for a boneheaded move by Girardi in game 2, this series might be over tonight...scary thought

I had just turned to my son and said that.vball10set;1876403 wrote:If not for a boneheaded move by Girardi in game 2, this series might be over tonight...scary thought
Let's refer to post #482.

vball10setJust switched over to MNF in hopes of seeing a better game—Minnesota up 3-2 over Chicago at half...good god
-
Laley23My saving grace is that Kluber can't be that bad, and CC can't be that good, again. That said, game 5 is a toss-up. Yankees are hot and Indians are not. Encarnacion injury is KILLING this lineup, because Indians.
Sucks man. I honestly think they are the best team in baseball, and so complete/deep. Yankees had all the makings to knock them out though, more than any other team (as I expressed before series began) and we got stuck with them. -

depends on which Kluber shows up, cause momentum is definitely not on our sideBRF;1876405 wrote:I had just turned to my son and said that.

Right. But we will have a day off to quell that momentum.
And.........this game isn't over yet. -
vball10setyet another error—hope we get them all out of our system
-
TBone14We have as many errors as hits. #1 in the AL defensively this year.
