ALDS- New York Yankees vs Cleveland Indians series thread

It's start with Lindor at the top. We need to get him going and get him on base.

Also- kinda of scary. This thing is 2-2 and the rookie of the year and potential MVP is 1-15 with 12 strikeouts. So Yankee fans are the saying the same thing about him as we are about Frankie and Jose. "We got this fucka to 2-2 and Judge hasn't done jack, yo." (Yankee fan impression)

I will say this...I don't think there is anyone in the world right now that I would rather have on the hill for us than Corey Kluber tomorrow. The toughest part is that we have to wait 35 more damn hours.
    Good post

So can we replace him or not? you imply in your first sentence that we can, but then he won't be available until the world series...then in the next sentence you're saying we can't replace him at all? sorry, I'm confused

We can replace him but he won't be eligible to play again until World Series. So he couldn't play in a potential ALCS series.

I am going to need all the alcohol on Wednesday. My nerves.

got ya'--I thought that's what Laley meant until he said 'can't replace an injured player...'

Well, if he doesn't play tonight, and we lose, it'll be a bad tactical miscalculation. We need that RH bat.

Yeah sorry, my post was very confusing haha.

I agree, but we are not replacing Edwin with his twin brother of equal ability. If we replace him, we are only getting Yandy who probably sits the bench as a PH. Doubt Tito would start him. If Tito is willing to start Yandy and bench MB, I am all for it, but those odds seem low. And even so, not sure Yandy will be the difference between a W/L, in which case we then loss EE for ALCS if we make it.

I need to start psyching myself in the positive direction for this game to fight that awful feeling that many of us are having right now.

Same here. I had a bad feeling prior to this series. My thoughts were that if they got past NY they were going to win it all. I was pretty skeptical they were going to get past them though. If Kluber is Kluber, we should be fine but I just have this odd feeling there's something wrong with him. I missed the early part of the 9-8 comeback, so I didn't see him get shelled, but from what I heard, the normally "cold as ice" Kluber was pretty shell shocked/stunned when he left the mound. That's a guy that doesn't get rattled.

His stuff had no/flat movement. His velocity was fine, which is usually the first sign of injury, so that's a positive. He had been so good for so long, I'm really focusing on that was just a blip over a long stretch.

I'm also starting to convince myself we will get to CC for 3 runs before he is pulled in the 3rd. I'm hoping Kluber goes 6-7 giving up 2. I think if he does that, coupled with the Cody Allen solo shot, we can win 5-3.

Or you put Yandi at 3B in place of Gio.... He’s a lot better stick.

Well sure. My point is your not getting close to the production of EE though, regardless.

It was late! I was referring to the Cubs/Nats game being moved from a late afternoon game today. Sorry, wrong thread.

I thought he was in the outfield due to something about lateral movement and hamstring. Yeah, that would be ideal, especially with Sabathia starting.

Quote from Tito when asked if EE will play tomorrow. "I think so."

EE is going to run today during workout. Quite frankly...I don't care if he can run or not. Hit the ball over the damn fence and walk around the bases with your flap up.

    Yep. Station baseball, fuck it.

If he gets on in the 7th or later...we have Greg Allen

Tito expects EE to play tomorrow! He is running in the outfield currently.

What are the Cleveland area OC Meteorologists saying for tomorrow? 90% chance of rain I am seeing. Should be out of there by gametime.
