Just looking at radar and predictions for NYC. Doesn't seem like the rain will last much past 8-9. They aren't postponing unless it looks like it's gonna push the start a lot later than that.

A delay would be worst case scenario for me. I'd prefer not to go to bed at 2AM lol.

Oh, I definitely agree that's is a helluva lot easier said than done--IMO one of the hardest things in sports is hitting a baseball. It's just that I view Bruce as a veteran hitter, and he looked just plain silly out there-lol.

I want to play today. We worked Chapman pretty good, and despite their numbers, I feel we can get to the rest of the pen. I don't want to give him a days rest.

I don't want it to come down to us beating chapman.

It's never easy in the playoffs. That's a good squad in the other dugout and they weren't going to pout and roll over for us. To me, it seems like everyone wants to be the hero in every at bat. When this team is best, it's everyone doing their job at the plate. Get on and set the table for the next guy. Kipnis has had the best approach. Just stay back and hit a line drive somewhere. Other guys look like they are trying to hit the ball to damn moon. Jose wanted to second deck one with Kipnis on 3rd and 1 out when a hard hit grounder probably finds a hole through a pulled in infield or a damn fly ball scores him.

Hopefully tonight we are little more patient as a team.

Another key (sounds dumb and obvious): We need to get a run early and get on the board and play with the lead. Don't want those thoughts to start creeping in if we get down early (Here we go again. Are we really going to get shutout again? Are we really going to blow another series lead?).

But if they won it would be well worth it....if they lost you could start sounding a little negative on here [emoji6]

A little nervous for tonight. I think Bauer's range of outcomes is huge on short rest. I could see him continuing his brilliance or could see him struggle with command and walk a couple guys in the first and groove a meatball and it be 3-0 or 4-0 them...quickly. I know he has a gumby arm but the fact is, it is different than what he is used to.

I'm sure Tito will have Tomlin on standby if he needs to go a couple of innings.

Gotta be short leashes tonight. I think Bauer is pretty easy to see how he is doing early. He either hits his curve or he doesn't. In a normal game maybe you let him get into the 3rd inning to find it, but if he doesn't have it in the first two you gotta pull him. Tomlin should be able to go a good amount, and we still have salazar and clev to eat up long innings. Hopefully our offense shows up today.

    Why aren't we starting Salazar?

I expect another sweep. Pitching sucks and our bats have gone silent.

and the J-Ram slump continues...btw, check our dugout the next time the camera pans it—we’re tight—not good

Need someone to make a play to loosen everyone up.

Also, I hope Bauer is dumb enough to think he is the best pitcher in this series. That's what it is going to take.

Bauer with lesser command than last game, especially on the curve.

Was nice to see him work a count and drive it, though.

Not a fan of Brantley currently batting 6th. He looks like he is in spring training, while every pitcher is in the postseason.

He did look more comfortable, so hopefully this means he’s breaking out of it...Brantley, not so much

Which is why I'm wondering why the fuck he is batting 6th.

Yeah, already three full counts—the guy’s a warrior though, and he’ll battle like hell...and please remind me again why Urshela is in there?!?
