If they are playing "moneyball" it's no wonder they let Mack walk.

And I saw that kap doesn't want to take a pay cut to come to CLE. He's no good and has gotten worse every single year. I was really big on drafting a qb but the f they went defense I wouldn't be mad. Ramsey or Jack, and start building this defense. But you could go qb if he's truly your number 1 on the big board.

Also I'm salty they let shawrtz walk. Benji idc he was overrated and not every good. Sucks losing Gipson and creating these holes. Alex Mack can't say I blame the guy. All we do is lose.
Letting Schwartz walk was inexcusable. The other 3, yeah sucks but not going to QQ about Gibson/Benjamin. Mack wasn't this FO's fault, it was farmer's stupidity.

Jimmy is bitterly jealous of Dolan and wants the title of the city's biggest cheapskate.

The Depodesta hire was clearly made to gain insight on how the Wilpons and Frank McCourt (2 of the worst, cheapest owners in history) effectively scammed their franchises. Depodesta was right in the middle of both the Dodgers and Mets in their glory days of cheapness.

Next thing we know Jimmy is going to change the team mascot from Swagger to Mr. Krabs from sponge bob in honor of his devotion to cheapness.

This franchise disgusts me, and I don't know what I have done to deserve having a con man take over my favorite team.

    Browns fans deserve better.

It sounds like Kaepernick's eagerness to join Hue Jackson in Cleveland has cooled due to a) not wanting to cut the contract, b) going to a losing team and c) having been sacked 80+ times over the past few years, getting behind a rebuilt O-Line.

Shocker here, Pete Prisco giving the Browns an "F" (the only F) in free agency....

I mean it still could happen but I read an article from a local beat writer out in the Bay area that stated some of Kaepernick's concerns. Those concerns probably go away if he gets the money he wants.

It's easy to make that guess considering this grade was posted about 5 posts earlier...

I don't have a huge issue with what they're doing if the intent is to tear it all down & build it back up. What would piss me off is if they brought in Kaepernick to be their "bridge" guy. It would pretty much defy everything they've done up to this point.

As previously mentioned, the way Depodesta & Brown are going about this is going to piss off a lot of fans because this team will be bad and many fans won't understand the process. One bright spot is that hopefully they will have some continuity, from a coaching perspective, for a few years as Haslam surely can't expect Hue Jackson to turn water into wine with this turd.

It sucks but I think they are going to do it the "right" way. This team needed broken down instead of adding aging veterans to try to give them a push toward the playoffs when those vets were usually washed up.

Except we've tried this approach numerous times since the Browns returned to the league. What brings you any confidence that this way is going to help us win a Super Bowl?

When, except when they first started out from expansion, have they tried this approach "numerous times?" They've tried to rebuild but I think they are going to gut this down to the bare bones before they are done.

If that's the case, why is JT still on the team? If we were truly offered a 1st and a 2nd from the Broncos, that should be a simple decision.

That offer was on the table before the trade deadline before Sashi & Depodesta were in charge. I wouldn't necessarily say JT is "safe" from trade. Still plenty of time (draft day or trade deadline) for that to happen.

No thanks to anything much north of $10m a year.

I assume the National media will run with this tomorrow.

Tweets from a SLC radio dude...

@1280Spence Strange scene here at the arena. Kyrie Irving is on the court shooting jumpers while venting to a Cavs assistant coach about something.

@1280Spence Kyrie and Tyronn Lue looked to be arguing about something on the sidelines late in the game. Not sure about specifics, but this is strange.

^^^ I don't see this approach working and we will be back here 3 or 4 years. The issue is they think you have to be the smartest guy in the room when all you have to do is watch the tape and not over think it. If they make this work I'll gladly eat the crow.
