If we traded down in the 2nd, sure. At pick #32, I am not a fan of it.

I could see that. After thinking about it a bit more, I think Zeke will be good but we have bigger fish to fry. If we get an OC in here that isn't a fucking imbecile running WR screens with Hawkins trying to pick an OLBer to spring Jennings on 2nd and 13, or forgetting to even use Duke in the second half, I think the combo of Crow and Duke could be a solid rotation. We need an OC that is committed to something on offense though.

Elliott is currently projected at #15 to #25, I can't see with his work ethic that he would not impress at the combine and move down.

I merely argued why I thought it was a good hire. Wasn't upset. At all. Just stating my opinion. Sorry you didn't like that I decided to state my opinion on your post.

If that's your deflection on your butt hurt and it makes you feel better, then I am happy for you. Hopefully it helps.

I wonder how he feels about Gordon. Also, I hope he isn't dumb enough to take a RB in the first two rounds.
I hope he's not dumb enough to take a quarterback with the number 2 pick.

    Yes, let's draft a DE.

It's not like the Cleveland Browns have needed a QB lately.

Thank you so much for your interest on my butthurt. I'll keep in mind you don't like discussion and will refrain from entering into it with you. That's my fault if I came across as butthurt when I was merely offering my opinion on the matter.

You're welcome. If this is what you need to keep doing to feel better, I'm here for you.

Question for those who follow the college game more closely than I do. Knowing that predicting who comes out early is largely guesswork, what does next year's QB class look like?

Drafting a QB at #2 doesn't mean McCown won't start the season as the starter.

He made comments about JT, Manziel & Gordon. His comments about Gordon were non-committal. He pretty much said he'd have to look at the film and sit down and get to know him. Pretty much the same thing he said about Manziel but I think we've already seen the reports that, prior to being hired, Jackson told the Browns management he wanted to move on from Billy Football.

Reports are that Jim Schwartz is in Cleveland

This team needs upgrades at several positions including QB...upwards if 8 players, maybe more.
I have not seen any reports that indicates there is a clear cut, can't miss QB in this draft that would be worth taking at #2. If this team just needed a few pieces, maybe you could justify the " reach" to get who you feel is the best QB, but I feel this is a luxury this team doesn't have. There is a good chance that you could get a top QB a few spots down in the draft, so I think it would be foolish for the Browns not to trade down a few spots and get an extra early round pick(s).

    Chad Kelly
    DeShaun Watson
    Brad Kaaya
    Luke Falk
    Gunner Kiel
    Seth Russell
    Mitch Leidner
    Trevor Knight

Kelly could be an elite prospect given his lineage, but the 2016 QB class with Goff, Lynch, Hackenberg, Wentz, Cook, Kessler, Doughty, Hogan, Coker, Prescott appears much stronger.

A lot of people project that Josh Rosen will be the #1 pick in 2018. That's a long way off, but he appears to already be that good.

Lynch looked horrible in his bowl game.

Hue Jackson's offenses are generally run-centric with a QB who is comfortable taking the snap from under center (Flacco/Dalton/Palmer).

Goff, who may be the best, is the "anti-Jackson QB" having taken most of his snaps from the gun. Lynch was running pretty much the same offense that Andy Dalton did in college. So, in a nutshell, Lynch's offense may be more similar to Hue's in that Cincy trickled in some of TCU's offense to give Heatmiser a higher level of comfort.

QB's can obviously adapt to a more traditional style which will be the case with most college QB's going forward since most runs spreads vs pro style.

Unlike previous regimes, I think we're looking at a smarter HC who knows exactly what he needs in a QB. Will be intriguing to see what direction they go in.

I wouldn't QQ about Schwartz. Best candidate that has been mentioned thus far. We retained Tabor for some fucking reason SMH. Also hearing Robosikie's name being mentioned as an OC candidate SMFH.

I would personally take Watson and Falk over anyone in this draft, but neither class is strong.

    BR, are you Hue Jackson?

Hue Jackson on Cleveland's WR situation: "I know we need big guys because we got the "Smurfs" here."

Nah, just heard him say they need "bigger receivers who can take a top off a defense."

I already hate Hue Jackson. #Browns coach Hue Jackson lines up offensive assistants but says he doesn’t plan to hire an offensive coordinator:
