    Jimmy Donovan over at WKYC is saying the Browns are ready to make Jackson an offer.

    To be clear, Jim said that sources say they're going to make a push (meaning Ian Rapport). He wasn't reporting it himself.

    I took your post as Jackson was about to be hired by the Browns. Not that he's their main target. I think we all knew he was their main target or one of them.

    Sounds like the early reports have cooled off on Jackson. He may still be their guy but it sounds like they are also interested in other candidates. Sashi probably ran the metrics last night and changed his mind on Jackson.

    I don't know why these dumbasses never learn their lesson. They leak these type of reports, and then when it doesn't happy Cleveland gets ridiculed for it. Rinse and repeat.

    You can blame Ian Rapoport for that. He "broke" this and isn't he usually wrong? Seems like it's always the national guys who come out with this stuff first. Either the local media have no sources or they are afraid to look like dumbasses.

    The Browns will get some dog shit coach is my guess. I love the Browns but we aren't a top coaching destination and the way Haslam has gone about managing coaches since his ownership began makes it even worse.

    Not sure how relevant it is but it sounds like there's some "connection" between Hue Jackson and Cal QB Jared Goff. Could be something to watch should Jackson get hired.
