SportsAndLadySee they're making a push to hire him. Lol that's not really saying he may be the guy

BR1986FBJimmy Donovan over at WKYC is saying the Browns are ready to make Jackson an offer.

I would take making a push to offer him, would mean he's their guy?SportsAndLady;1774830 wrote:See they're making a push to hire him. Lol that's not really saying he may be the guy

To be clear, Jim said that sources say they're going to make a push (meaning Ian Rapport). He wasn't reporting it himself.BR1986FB;1774845 wrote:Jimmy Donovan over at WKYC is saying the Browns are ready to make Jackson an offer.

I think if he ever got a chance with a real offense, a HC job would come soon after.HighRoller74;1774808 wrote:I agree. With little running game, and no playmakers at WR, our offense did surprisingly well. I'd be ok with Flip getting another year, if the next HC wants to keep him on board.

I took your post as Jackson was about to be hired by the Browns. Not that he's their main target. I think we all knew he was their main target or one of them.Crimson streak;1774848 wrote:I would take making a push to offer him, would mean he's their guy?

DeyDurkie5Who cares. Browns will suck and we will be doing this again in 3 years.

Gotcha. Well from the looks of it, he looks like he's their number 1. I doubt any of us would bitch about thatSportsAndLady;1774853 wrote:I took your post as Jackson was about to be hired by the Browns. Not that he's their main target. I think we all knew he was their main target or one of them.

BR1986FBSounds like the early reports have cooled off on Jackson. He may still be their guy but it sounds like they are also interested in other candidates. Sashi probably ran the metrics last night and changed his mind on Jackson.

I wouldn't. But I think he goes to SF.Crimson streak;1774859 wrote:Gotcha. Well from the looks of it, he looks like he's their number 1. I doubt any of us would bitch about that

like_thatI don't know why these dumbasses never learn their lesson. They leak these type of reports, and then when it doesn't happy Cleveland gets ridiculed for it. Rinse and repeat.

You can blame Ian Rapoport for that. He "broke" this and isn't he usually wrong? Seems like it's always the national guys who come out with this stuff first. Either the local media have no sources or they are afraid to look like dumbasses.like_that;1774967 wrote:I don't know why these dumbasses never learn their lesson. HitsRusJimmy Donovan said on the 11 PM news, that while Jackson is rumored to be the Browns #1 choice, no offers have been made to him by ANY team.

I think he also has a shot at the Giants gig. Browns will probably end up with Pat Shurmur's nephew. (sigh)SportsAndLady;1774959 wrote:I wouldn't. But I think he goes to SF. -

He fits the bill of the type they'd probably go after (engineer/smart) for this new analytics angle they are taking.Commander of Awesome;1775094 wrote:I like Patricia -

sleeperThe Browns will get some dog shit coach is my guess. I love the Browns but we aren't a top coaching destination and the way Haslam has gone about managing coaches since his ownership began makes it even worse.

Why couldn't they have signed him for the Jets game in week 17 and thrown him a potential game winning TD pass? We know how that would've ended.Commander of Awesome;1775129 wrote:Bills sign Greg Little LOL -

How/Why do teams keep signing him. I'm sure its only a futures contract, and he won't even sniff training camp, but seriously...why?Commander of Awesome;1775129 wrote:Bills sign Greg Little LOL -
BR1986FBNot sure how relevant it is but it sounds like there's some "connection" between Hue Jackson and Cal QB Jared Goff. Could be something to watch should Jackson get hired.
