2016 Browns Season Thread

If we cherry-pick games to look at a good performance, we can look at today's game and say we have a good DC. I think 125% of us (just for you FW) can see that is a logical fallacy.

They were facing Blaine Gabbert with his "feature" back Shaun Draughn, who the Browns cut.

Manziel did some good things today but let's face facts, he wasn't facing Seattle's defense, in Seattle. If he puts up a similar performance against the Seahawks, he'll have my attention.

I was going to suggest the same thing.

I wouldn't be opposed to not drafting a qb as long as he can keep his nose clean and continues to put in the work. Next week will be a huge test for him going against that Seattle defense.

It would have been nice to see him start consecutive games this season to see if he could build upon his performances. Instead the franchise has only given themselves these last few weeks. Fucking dumb. I too think he has looked pretty solid this season and has improved every game. Definitely looks much more poised than last season.

Kevin O'Connell has done an excellent job with this QB group. Every QB that has played has looked decent, or better, when they got their chance.

Well it was a win and against a terrible team. Now all week we can hear all the JF talk about how all he needed was a chance....I think as this plays out that tune will change starting in Seattle next week. I think Johnny is nothing more than a capable back up. We will see.

    Very true on this...

I think the thing with Manziel, for most, is the intrigue factor. I think most don't believe he has "it" but are at least curious to see more of him.

It would be nice to not have to burn a high 1st rounder on a QB but I'm skeptical that Manziel has what it takes. But who knows? If Gordon comes back (also not banking on this), they draft another WR, along with Hartline, Benjamin & Barnidge, that's a nice set of weapons. Just need the O-Line to be able to control the LOS in run blocking.

The defense is a whole other story.

If Johnny can pan out and Gordon comes back to be a force, this could be one hell of an offense and possibly one of the most exciting in football.

If Manziel were to pan out, along with his ability to extend plays AND Gordon/Benjamin's ability to get open deep, very exciting indeed.

Settle down there. We just beat a team that is worse than us. LOL

This cracks me up lol after a loss last week, the sky was falling, we needed to draft every position, manziel was a punk with off the field issues, etc.

This week, after beating the lowly 49ers, we've got some offensive weapons, manziel has an intrigue factor, etc.

Just proves that after a loss, Browns fans can be unbearable with their over the top hot takes.

Even though JFF looked fine, and has looked "okay" at best all year, I'm not going to let a win against one of the worst teams to cloud my judgment. Draft a top QB and get your franchise QB for the next 10 years. Clean house and get a competent coaching and management staff.

In other words, the Browns fans are as inept as the actual team.

    LOL

So let me guess, either HR banned your uz2 username so now you're back on your brother's salto name....or, people were catching on that you have multiple usernames so you switched over to salto?

You really are that fucking dumb, that you think we don't know that you are Said.

You might want to look at my posts on the previous page (regarding Gabbert, Draughn & the Niners) before saying this. Nowhere in my post did I say "Manziel's the answer" but after burning a 1st on him, there's a curiosity to see what he can do.

The Browns are still a piss poor team with poor coaching and a shitty defense. They "might" have a few pieces on offense if Gordon comes back. Barnidge & Benjamin (both should be 1000 yard receivers this year) could both be complementary pieces to Gordon if he returns. Other than that, they will still probably have a crappy O-Line with a few holes, no feature back and, if they proceed with Manziel, a ? at QB. Manziel is still "punk off the field" who can't be trusted.

As far as the defense goes, you might at well gut it and start over.

I still expect this team to be a bottom three team in the NFL next year. If they proceed with Manziel or a rookie QB, they will still be losers....just "more fun to watch" losers.

The 49ers are a mess, Gabbert as the currently starting QB and multiple defensive players out for the game, Vegas saw this and favored the Browns (is that the only time this year?). This win means nothing except good feelz for the week and they might have screwed themselves from the #1 pick whoever that might be (Bosa?, Lynch?).

Haden and Whitner being part time has really put the pressure on the failure of the first round defensive draft picks (Mingo, Gilbert).

They were favored a few times this year. MNF against the Ravens was one. Believe they were also favored against the Titans.

Was kind of my thoughts. On the one hand, you want the good feeling of winning but on the other hand, they've been so bad you want them to lose out so they get that top pick. It was fun to see them beat up on someone even if it was a one week anomaly. Just hope them don't drop too far down in the draft order.

After Isaiah Crowell's second rushing score, he has 140 rushing yards. That's the most by a Browns player in a game since Peyton Hillis on Nov. 7, 2010 vs. the Patriots. Follow live
I was at that game! Probably the most I've ever enjoyed watching a Browns game.

I have no expectations lol. I was just saying if they were to pan out it would be a pretty entertaining offense to watch. Will they pan out? Probably not

Besides posting personal info about your family, am I wrong or was he the one who ratted out ccrunner, sending personal info to his employer? Not that losing cc as a poster was devastating but if it was said, he's pretty much a first class weasel.
