    Old as in 5 days?
  • Automatik
Gotta get rid of him after the season and move on. He's got more of an uphill climb than ever now and very well could be on his way out of the league.

Deadspin has stuff up to the effect of the first tweet there a couple days ago. Something about how his defense for the weekend amounted to how it might be old and since he hasn't seen the video, he can't comment on it. Came off as the sort of thing I'd try back in elementary school to get out of trouble. Seems to have worked as well for Manziel as it did for me.

Johnny I've tried defending you but just made people like me look like dumbasses. You lied to the coach and told your buddies to lie too? Are you fucking six years old? Mike wanted you to stay around the facility and lay low and you can't even do that? Im glad Pettine demoted your dumbass. Im still not a fan of Pettine but I'm glad your ass is on the bench. Just tell the damn truth. The. Maybe you'd be suspended one game? Then Get your job back at worst. I wanted you to be our future but clearly you don't care about your career, the Browns or us fans.

According to a league source, Manziel lied directly to coach Mike Pettine about when the video was filmed. He also encouraged his friends to lie about when the video was recorded, according to the Fox Sports report.
Can't wait for Footwedge to come in and defend him some more.

"He knew Cueball would punish him for doing nothing, so he lied to help the team and it's all the coach's fault for not being understanding enough of how all-time greats need to kick back when they get a break from carrying their team."

Bud Grant would have let Fran Tarkenton play if there was 8 millimeter film of him at a wild party.

Solid. Next time throw in some irrelevant comparisons and stats like how Manziel's completion percentage is 4% higher than Joe Montana's rookie season.

"I already said this was on Johnny, but Cueball shouldn't demote him for more than a game because there's nothing wrong with lying to your employer. His only issue was not listening to their idiotic instructions and his teammates not stopping him from going to Texas. Cueball should be fired after the Browns lose this week and if he's not, I can't wait to see Manziel DESTORY* THE NFL for another team, probably Dallas, because his QBR is so good [insert irrelevant QBR comparison]"

Can't really defend now for being a dumb fuck.

Anybody listen to Flip's presser today? Priceless. The usual "why didn't you cut Johnny" crap came spewing out of Mary Kay's mouth. To which Flip replied because he's a really good player...that he is a "work in progress on his off field antics...and we are all works in progress in our lives" And then there was Johnny hater Tony Grossi saying "well how you gonna know if the kid can play if he doesn't play the rest of the year?" to which Flip said anyone that has actually watched him play against Tennessee, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh already knows the kid can ball out. And his tone was that if you can't see that, then you are a fuggin idiot. Grossi needed talcum powder after that verbal ass whippin.

Flip is definitely a silver lining to this otherwise hugantic clusterfuck known as the Cleveland Brown organization.

As for Manziel lying to his coaches about what went down, not ever going to defend that. Ever. But the same cast of characters here that are pounding their puds over Manziel lying are the same ones that had NO PROBLEM with Tom Brady cheating and LYING TO COVER IT UP when he deflated footballs in order to win a Super Bowl.

The Johnny haters here all live in glass houses and should be careful tossing stones around...just sayin.

Provided Johnny stays clean, he will be back under center in a week or 2. Would love to see him get outpatient rehab help to help him keep his nose clean. If he does, he will be the franchise quarterback that this fan base has been clamoring for. If he can't, well then just another chapter being written in the factory of sadness series and we will all gather around for the drafting of Connor Cook (56% completion) or Jared Goff (62%). Good luck with that.

You realize that Peyton Mannings completion percentage was only 62 in College, Brady's was 60 and Drew Brees was only 60 as well?

I read somewhere that 100% of the time college stats determine who will be the more successful pro. :)

You could design a pretty fun drinking game to Footwedge's posts:
    1) Calls everyone Manziel bashers oblivious they actually want Manziel to succeed - take a shot
    2) Compares the statistics of professional players with college players - take two shots
    3) Speculates Manziel will be the Browns quarterback of the next 10-15 years - take a shot
    4) Speculates Manziel will be the (insert any other team's) quarterback of the next 10-15 years - take a shot
    5) Speculates Manziel will be the (insert team who has absolutely no need for Manziel like the Packers) quarterback for the next 10-15 years - take three shots
    6) Brings up Cleveland media like anyone gives a shit - take a shot
    7) >5 spelling errors - take a shot
    8) Incorrect mathematics - taking a shot is optional since this is an automatic.

2 years running as possibly the worst defense in the NFL, and Jim O'Neil doesn't think any big changes need to be made. Just clean up a few small things.

Someone asked him to name a strength of his defense, and apparently he got a massive deer in the headlights look.

All the Johnny stuff has covered up the real scandal in this town, and that is how this guy still has a job. There is a level of delusion/denial with this coaching staff the likes of which I have never seen in this town (and that is saying something).

Pettine probably privately thanked Johnny for screwing up because it has taken a ton of heat off of him and the coaching staff about how consistently poor they are at their jobs. The media gets so wrapped up in anything Johnny it allows them to go about their failure in relative anonymity without having to deal with the Mary Kay's and Grossi's of the world asking them about it.

When the Pettine eulogy is ultimately written it is going to be Jim O'Neil, not Johnny, that serves as the prime example of how a lack of accountability doomed his regime.

Jim O'Neil professionally embarrasses the franchise every week without consequence, not a word from Pettine. Everyone in that locker room knows it, which is why the holding Johnny accountable stuff has rung so hollow.

#Browns' DC O'Neil says bye-week study revealed "some guys maybe are suited to different roles than in maybe what we were playing them."
Stunning that this buffoon is just now figuring this out. He could have learned that reading the OBR or the OC. That he is just now seeing it, and openly admitting to it is a fireable offense.

Sorry that using statistics and facts to substantiate my logic offends you so. If you want to see Connor Cook. Christian Hackenburg or Jared Goff in here next season...have fun. I'd rather have the guy with 2 years under his belt, a stronger and more accurate arm then any of the aforementioned, and the ability to move sticks with his feet. But continue on with your hating, You and yours have been proven wrong by Manziel's play on the field this season. Flip...and even Cueball have acknowledged that.

Connor Cook has better college stats than Tom Brady. According to you that means there is 100% chance that Cook is a better pro than Brady. I don't like Cook, but if I knew with 100% certainty that he would be better than Brady, sign me up.

Monday Night Football predicted to be smallest viewing audience since MNF first appeared on ABC in 1970. Only a few unemployed drill press operators from Euclid & Solon and some third shift security watchmen from Fells Point will be tuned into this sleeper of a game.

3rd freaking Sunday this month with no Browns game to watch and I am tired of it already.

A nice big FU is in order to whoever made this schedule at the league office.

Bitches because the Browns aren't on on Sunday. Lol

It sucks the league put our team in the premier time slots twice this month. :)
