Ravens at Browns

Try spreading it out a little. 1 game in 25 days is downright shameful, and puts Browns fans in withdrawal.

I still am having a hard time believing we are on Monday night football and we have to wash Josh freaking McCown. Mike thinks he's punishing Johnny, but it is really the fan base and ESPN he is sticking it to making us watch this trash.

I know that you have a fantasy about washing a Browns qb, but does that now also include McCown?

Christian Hackenburg or Jared Goff in here next season...have fun. I'd rather have the guy with 2 years under his belt, a stronger and more accurate arm then any of the aforementioned, and the ability to move sticks with his feet. But continue on with your hating, You and yours have been proven wrong by Manziel's play on the field this season. Flip...and even Cueball have acknowledged that.
Sorry douchebag, but no one cares about your cherry-picked stats comparing college players and a pro who has played in like five games. And I haven't been proven wrong about anything, because I don't care about his play on the field. I, like everyone else, just make fun of you for wanting him sexually.

There is no doubt that having Manziel at QB would have made this a much more watchable game, but you and Wedge have to face it that JFF did this to himself.

Not that it's original but it sounds like there will be a large contingent of bag wearing Browns fans at tonight's game in protest of the on the field product.

Good lord, Haden must have the worst concussion ever....out again.
  • Crimson streak
Might as well shut him down the rest of the year and let him get healthy for next year. It's just not his year.

Bill Livingston wrote a great article in today's PD calling it a huge mistake in sitting Manziel tonight. Johnny wasn't real bright in doing what he did....but Pettine needs to quit thinking that he's coaching a bleeping convent. Livingston was on point. In a league that has tolerated deflating footballs in a playoff game, putting up with dog fighting, wife beating, and so on...we are going to punish a guy who was kareoking and drinking Dom Perignon on his week off?

Again...drinking champagne ON HIS WEEK OFF.

Johnny haters are gonna hate and they're loving this shit. But make no mistake there are tens of thousands of Browns fans that are in Livingston's corner...especially as Livinsgston put it, the most exciting quarterback the Browns have ever had.

The fact that you think he's sitting because of what he did on his personal time is telling.

I'm shocked, but I agree with buttwedge here. Petty Pettine is petty. Just stupid to bench him, really dgaf if he lied to Petty Pettine at all. I forgot NFL coaches are always so honest. /sarcasm

This. Who gives a fuck if manziel lied to the coaches. The coaches suck. Put manziel in there and see what we've got.
  • Con_Alma
The decision makers care if he lied to the coaches. That's all that matters regarding his playing time. Apparently he's not mature enough to figure that out. Makes one wonder what else he's not able to figure out.

Behind the scenes the Browns management wants an apology from Manziel and want to see him enter outpatient treatment. Johnny will have none of that. His agent has advised Johnny to lay low, bide his time, and worse case scenario, he will be jettisoned out of Cleveland. Johnny knows that he has done plenty this year to wet the whistle of people like Jerry Jones.

Rumor is already out that with all of Romo's health problems Jerry has offered the Browns a number 2 to which Browns management has snubbed their nose. As bad as this nightmare season has been, just imagine how much worse things will be next year with Manziel leading the Cowboys into the playoffs and beyond.

No..what is telling is the hypocritical thinking of you and yours. Tom Brady blatantly cheats in a playoff game, then LIES ABOUT IT IN COVER UP fashion. and neither the NFL nor Bellichik has the stones to sit him even for one lousy week.

The NFL did "have the stones", as anyone with anything resembling a short-term memory should remember the whole suspension issued before this season. And then it went to court and the NFL wound up being openly mocked for their horrible case loaded with "he said/she said evidence" as opposed to actual "he did it evidence" by virtually everyone, including the judge presiding over said case. And then they lost and the suspension was overturned. They still do "have stones", as they're trying to appeal the judge's ruling, but those things take time.

As for Belichek, well, I've never seen a coach at this level personally decide he's taking the law into his own hands and suspending a player for engaging in activities to give his team an edge on the field. HOWEVER, he has benched (or worse) guys for such things as minor as being a few minutes late to a team function (re: that Jonas whoever running back from last year) -- which really shoots holes in your failed attempt to come up with a logical thought.

I hate to get in the way of you making things up, but the trading deadline passed weeks ago.

After reflecting on the JFF storyline on one end my thoughts were JFF is a fucking dumbass. Why couldn't he just listen to his coach when he knows these next 6 weeks are huge for his career? On the other end, why the fuck was pettine so petty to tell a 22 year old to not go out on his bye week? At least find a fucking compromise. "Hey Johnny, I know you are 22 and you are going to have your fun, but be smart about it." Some shit like that would have been a much better message to JFF than "NO GOING OUT!!!!!"

Tom Brady has a little more clout behind him from his time in the NFL than Mr. Manziel. Mr. Manziel is owed nothing by the Browns when he doesn't fully take advantage of the opportunities given to him.

I hope there's a day when you can truly compare Mr. Manziel and Mr. Brady. That day isn't today...in fact it's going to be a long, long time before that makes any sense at all.

You don't have to call him Mr Manziel on here.
