Because the owner is a dope?BR1986FB;1764263 wrote:I know Pettine is gone but I think Farmer could weather the storm. Why, I don't know. -
Con_AlmaI'm hearing that Petine is gone because he won't separate from O'neil. In addition, it sounds like Farmer is gone too which in my opinion is more important.
Looks like a complete start over...again. -

I love when you guys say this shit without providing any sources.Con_Alma;1764286 wrote:I'm hearing that Petine is gone because he won't separate from O'neil. In addition, it sounds like Farmer is gone too which in my opinion is more important.

O'Neil is running Pettine's system, so he sees no reason to get rid of him. Not to mention that he played for Pettine's father and they are best friends, and Pettine gave him his NFL start.I'm hearing that Petine is gone because he won't separate from O'neil.
They are 2 peas in a pod running the only system either guy knows. It is the one Rex taught Pettine. He has no experience doing anything but what he is right now. It is why there are no adjustments no matter how bad things get.
Pettine thinks his system is gold and that any failure is on the players to implement it properly. It is why Jim O'Neil has been absolved of any blame and there is never any talk of his job security as long as Mike is around. O'Neil has done exactly as Pettine wants. -

In a nutshell, Pettine has said that he's involved with the defense but he & O'Neil are in such "lockstep" that it doesn't matter who is calling out the defense because it's going to be the same.IggyPride00;1764300 wrote:O'Neil is running Pettine's system, so he sees no reason to get rid of him. Don't quote me on this but I think it was Greg Cosell who made one of the comments, and no, I don't have a "link."like_that;1764299 wrote:I love when you guys say this shit without providing any sources. -

So you have nothing but a random persons opinion?BR1986FB;1764317 wrote:Don't quote me on this but I think it was Greg Cosell who made one of the comments, and no, I don't have a "link." -

Is it hard to believe some people actually have sources? I mean I wouldn't trust one from FW or iggy, but some of us know people in the business.like_that;1764299 wrote:I love when you guys say this shit without providing any sources. -

Yes actually. I put it up there with all the bill cowhers house in strongsville rumors.iclfan2;1764343 wrote:Is it hard to believe some people actually have sources? I mean I wouldn't trust one from FW or iggy, but some of us know people in the business.
At least establish some credibility. " hear such and such" is not as strong of a statement from "I heard such and such from such and such." It all comes off as radio gossip bullshit. -
iclfan2I agree with you on stupid ass rumors that make no sense, and I wouldn't trust many people on an Internet forum either. But I personally have an in who was correct on such random shit as they really like orchard and may reach for him, and then they did. If someone's source is read it on a message board then yea it's stupid.

iclfan2Giving up actual sources could only do harm to that persons job opportunities in the future if it ever got back to the organization or those in charge

I'm talking about the people who say they heard something when they clearly reds it or heard it on the radio. Your case is rare, and not even what I am referring to. -

Greg cosell doesn't know shit about the Browns. 99% of the football world and media not affiliated with Cleveland doesn't know or car about the Browns. He is just giving his opinion based on nothing. And then someone(BRSPN) posts "hearing through sources that this is gonna happen". It's dumbLaley23;1764350 wrote:Greg Cosell isnt random. -
iclfan2Gotcha. Then agreed. Especially if they heard it from some asshole like grossi or rizzo. The Browns hate local media and grossi or mkc haven't had a source in years

SportsAndLady"Where'd you hear that rumor?"
"Oh this anonymous poster on this message board I post on said it. They have inside sources."
Yeah, i'll continue to not believe that anyone here has "inside" sources within the Cleveland Browns. -
BR1986FB
Who said anything about "sources?" Nobody here has any. The closest I can recall was when lhs knew an agent, or something like that, for Alex Mack awhile ago.DeyDurkie5;1764379 wrote:Greg cosell doesn't know shit about the Browns. 99% of the football world and media not affiliated with Cleveland doesn't know or car about the Browns. Con_Almanot just sources but "inside sources".

And even then that wasn't like a real, consistent source, it just so happened we had a long conversation about Mack because he was there for UofA athletes (long story short UofA pre-empted impermissible agent contact by hosting agents on campus).BR1986FB;1764414 wrote: The closest I can recall was when lhs knew an agent, or something like that, for Alex Mack awhile ago. -
MulvaRavens, Lions, and Cowboys all win today. Only three teams left @ 2 wins.
