Johnny scored on that run, I have no idea what game the official was watching and Travis Bejamin needs to catch that fucking ball. No need for that, that's 14 points. He looked very good. No way he can go to josh on that Monday night game.
Its funny how 2 tribe regular posters (you and Hits) are the only ones to actually get it around here. A tip to NRF as well.

Pettine has catered to the Cleveland media in not playing Manziel. Gutless swine. Thank the good Lord that McClown got hurt because the future Browns All Pro quarterback would have never seen the field.

If you want to use the baseball analogy, it would be like a player getting a hit on his 5th at bat. I hope it continues, but he still has a long way to go to show that he can win at this level.

And if you want to continue with the Footwedge analogy, he really SHOULD BE 5-5 over those five at bats, but the ump called him out on a bullshit strike on one of them, he hit two hard ones that "somehow" got caught and, on the fourth out, he should have gotten a hit, but a teammate fucked up running the bases and was called out before he reached first.

But he doesn't make excuses. No sir.

Listening to Bruce blew a Hooley today and just LMAO. Says the Browns couldn't get a number one if they packaged Irving, Gilbert and Manziel together. Little dude is obviously butt hurt over Johnny's performance.

This is same Bruce blew a Hooley who said last week that Johnny never has and never will make a play from the pocket.

This is exactly the kind of shit that pours out of one's mouth when they never watched the kid play at A & M.

What a really poor reach little man. If you want to use that analogy then Manziel is 3 for 5...and since you suck at math...that equates to 600.

But I get it..it's a sad, sad day for people like you and Lunatic as the realization that the Browns finally have afuture All Pro quarterback is starting to set in.
  • Footwedge
On the Bull and the Fox, it was a tough day for these 2 bashers. They played the Lunatic/Lowballer's card saying over and over again that Johnny only generated 9 points. LMAO. Refer up to Shook's post to understand how utterly stupid that argument is. Maybe Johnny should kick the extra points too.
  • like_that
I don't see the argument here. I think we all agree JFF has improved each start, and should be starting the rest of the season. Time to move on.

Honestly if Nohnny keeps playing well and we lose out and end up with a top pick do we draft a qb? Or stay with Johnny and draft a pass rusher in bosa or best wide out?

I'd go with Bosa. There is not a qb that you can justify taking #1 in this draft, and we need help all over the place. A good pass rusher hides some of our weaknesses in coverage.

    Nah. QB
  • HitsRus
    Here's the scenario....
#1) Play McCown and we win some games but don't reach the playoffs(a certainty) we lose position in the draft and we will have to draft a QB at a low mid round position....#10,11 or 12.

#2 play McCown and lose out.....get a great draft choice, but do you spend it on a QB and pass on another impact player?

#3 Play Manziel and he craps out ....get a high draft pick and spend it on a QB without a doubt.

#4 Play Manziel and he shows improvement week to week, wins a few games, and justifies his position as an NFL starter.....spend your high first round pick on a needed player at another position.

    Conclusion:
There is absolutely NO REASON to start anybody but Johnny Manziel for the next several games.

This team needs a pass rusher, a wide out, a DB....It would be really nice if we could be certain if we need to draft a QB, too.

This team has a ton of needs.

If someone would've have said (prior to the season), "at the end of week 10, the Browns QB's will have thrown for 2800+ yards, with a completion % of 63%, a QBR of almost 93, 16 TD's & 6 INT'S, what do you think their record would be?"

Coming into the year, with most touting the "vaunted" defense & "run first" offense, I bet most would've said "better than 2-8."

QB hasn't been the issue, contrary to some beliefs.

Come on. No one right now is thinking "the Browns QBs have been good this year!" You can have good looking stats and still be part of the problem.

That being said I'm very surprised at how kindly they treated me while I was there. Of course they gave some ribbing but it was nothing hostile. That being said what a pathetic fucking team. Between the penalties and the terrible secondary it was just an abortion. Johnny played very well made a lot of good reads from the pocket. Missed a few one was a big gain to Travis Benjamin but he had barnadge wide open for a TD. The coaching staff has got to go. They are awful. I wouldn't mind seeing Sean Peyton once he's fired or hue Jackson. Both would be major upgrades

Problem here is that Sean Payton was rumored for Indy, and that was well before they ended up being mediocre. I doubt he would go to Cleveland over Indy, if both offers are on the table. That said, who knows what will go down in Indianapolis. I still like Pagano, but Grigson is atrocious. Worse than Farmer. Way worse.

I just found seats for the San Fran game on Stub Hub for $7.35........

Yikes......just yikes, I may just buy them, to get into the stadium, and sit where its empty.

The Browns Ravens Monday night game is such a turd ESPN might try and get Pettine fired themselves if he doesn't play Johnny so at least they have something to talk about all game.

They are far from the biggest problem. This team is a bottom three team, talent-wise.

Pettine was actually gushing over Manziel in his press conference yesterday. I think he was shocked JFF played so well.

Now the defense is another story. Seems like there's an internal battle between the coaches (Pettine throwing the D under the bus in interviews) and the defensive players (Kruger/Tramon Williams' comments. Don't get the feeling the defense is buying in to the scheme.

What do the bad teams in the NFL this year have in common? Bad QB play.

No the QB play hasn't been the BIGGEST problem. But it's still been a problem. And it's a position that until we find a solution for, we will continue to be horrible, despite how much talent we have (how many pro bowlers did we have a few years back yet still finished with a below .500 record?).

You truly are an idiot. The quarterback play has NOT been a problem for this team. Grow up son. Quit blaming a problem that simply put isn't there.

Manziel is now the starter. Pettine, you ear a fuggin idiot for waiting this long. With that out of the way, Johnny willsave your sorry ass from getting shit canned. What irony.

The stadium would have resembled a ghost town on Monday night football had Manziel not been named the starter. Many people like me will be going to the next 3 games. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Browns win all 3.
