Browns vs Steelers

Is there a top QB? Obviously there is but not sure I'd want to give #1 money to any QB in the draft.

You guys do need a 6'4+ guy back there but man your coach is lame duck. They looked like the worst team in football and added to it by not even looking like they cared.

As has been for most of the year, QB was not the problem today. ***** ass O-Line can't run block to save their lives. Defense is still a sieve, at least in pass coverage today. No pass rush, as usual....and the most undisciplined team in the league. Almost 200 yards in penalties? That has to be close to a record.

Pettine has no reason to NOT start Manziel the rest of the year. With that being said, I still don't think he's their franchise QB after ONE good game.

Yeah,,los iin the shuffle in this embarrassing loss was the unbelievably good performance by Manziel who exceeded even my lofty expectations. He finished 34 for 45 but his last 4 passes were incompletions into the end zone...and 3 of those were dropped.

It was probably in the top 10 performances by a quarterback since the Browns came back into the league 16 years ago. And to think this was only the 5th start for Manziel.

And...even with all that.....you have assclowns like Sportsand Ladies up above clamoring for the Browns to draft a quarterback in next year's draft. OIC are the fans this stupid.

Pettine cut Dion Lewis in place of Terrence West, Isaiah Crowell and Ben Tate...a guy who was headed to the pro bowl this season before getting injured. The same Pettine that has started Josh fricking McCown ahead of the best quarterback the Browns have had since the days of Kosar. It's unreal that Haslam didn't fire him today.

After 1 good game? You're an idiot. PERIOD. This kid was phenominal today after his first play debacle. He put up unreal numbers with absolutely NO HELP from his running game nor his pass blocking. And his touchdown run that was incorrectly ruled down short of the goal line was the best scramble I've seen a quarterback make in over 20 years.

It is hard to be a Browns fan.

Yeah, ONE GOOD GAME. That Tennessee game was TWO good passes, one on a schoolyard broken play. Keep slobbering.....

Was this game enough for me to proclaim him the Franchise QB? No, not even close

Does this game make me want to seem him the rest of this season? Yes, for sure.

I'm thinking JFF may be the guy. Obviously, I want to see a lot more, but considering he doesn't have a lot of weapons, I thought he looked damn good.

Agreed. This game was immense improvement. He deserves the shot to start, going forward. I'd like to see what he can do with a running game. By no means am I ready to crown him like FW has. Right now, a new QB is NOT going to be the solution to this clusterf#ck.

Tramon Williams had a comment that seemed to be pointed at the coaches. Players are starting to get frustrated and stop holding their tongues. @DustinFox37: "Whatever the coaches ask of us we try and do the best of our abilities but at the same time.. You let a player be a player” Tramon Williams

He played really well against Tennessee and I would hardly call two 60 yard strikes perfectly thrown as "school yard plays". He also ripped Cincinnati's defense for 2 really long drives and just like today, fell victim to a number of dropped passes.

Like I said above...today for a brutal day for the Johnny bashers. The Browns got pummeled and humiliated by Pittsburgh and Johnny played like God. For these knuckleshits..it just can't get any worse.

Bruce blew a Hooley, Buttmunch Bishop, and Tony Jizzo need to apologize to their collective listening audiences that they were wrong on Manziel being garbage and cut worthy.

Manziel, once again, much to the dismay of the bashers that

    A. He is incredibly accurate...both INSIDE AND OUTSIDE of the pocket.
    B. He has an incredibly strong arm.
    C. Can scramble and move the chains with his feet.

I just can't imagine how good he will be whenever the team gets him an offensive line with a couple of good running backs.

OIC do you have a fan base that is so blinded by a bunch of know nothing talk show hosts.

Manziel's qback rating of 95.8 was very deceiving in that he had not 1...not 2...but 3 dropped touchdown passes in the end zone on his last possession. The silver lining in today's otherwise clusterfuck is that Browns management now knows that they picked the right quarterback 2 years ago and that they don't have to waste any more picks on solving the quarterback problem.

Oh...and one more thing. Derek Carr, Blake Bortles, Marcos Mariota, Jameis Winston, and Teddy Bridgewater could only dream of having a game as good as Manziel had today....in their first 5 career starts.

Mariota, First Career start, First Career game.

    13/16 209yards 4TD, 0int, 0Fmb, 158.3 QB Rtg. And most importantly a WIN.
  • SportsAndLady
    Derek Carr, 5th game: 18/34 282 yards, 4 TD's, 1 INT
  • Lovejoy1984
Bridgewater 2nd Career Game, 2nd Career Start

    19/30 317 yards 0 TD, 0 int, 0 Fumbles, 1 Rushing TD QB rating 98.9, most importantly, a WIN.

This is getting LOLerrific right now. Manziel has been declared to have the greatest game in NFL history for a quarterback committing two turnovers and leading to his team scoring nine points. Against a defense that gave up 35 or so to the Raiders last week.

    FW is fucking batshit.

    Go Steelers.

This team needs to get bigger WR's. Doesn't matter who is Qbing.

When we get in the red zone, we are so limited in the things we can do because we have absolutely no size. That is a complete and total failure on the part of Ray Farmer.

I wish they would have fired Pettine/O'Neil only because I wanted at least a small sample size of these exact same defensive players under a different coach/scheme to see if it made any different, or if we need to literally overhaul that entire side of the ball.

I suspect they wouldn't look much better, but we need to see how much of the current problem is a complete and utter lack of coaching vs. just being completely abysmal as far as overall talent goes.

It seems impossible that everyone suddenly sucks the second they put on a Browns uniform. The odds on that astronomical, which leads me to the idea that it has to be the coaches in completely over their heads.

Still can't believe they cut Pryor, so that they could sign Turbin.

He may not have been able to run the full tree, but no one here can convince me that he couldn't have been a big weapon inside the red zone.

No once else picked him up which makes me think there was nothing there.

Yeah I'm not mad about Pryor.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm not either, was strictly talking in the redzone where we could use someone other than Gary with a little bit of size.
  • BR1986FB
This team could really use Gordon but I'm not counting on that.

Derek Carr was horrible his first season...and people like you think he's God gift to football. Johnny shredded Pittsburgh's defense without a running game. Simply amazing. You know the same defense that the undefeated Bengals piled up 16 points against.

Just admit it sleuth...you and your toadie buds here are dead wrong on Manziel.
