Week 4: Browns @ Chargers

So if they signed Davis to an extension while Farmer is suspended, what are they waiting on with Bowe?

Valid question. Unless they are stupid and think he has value, makes me wonder whether there's some kind of legal (CBA) stipulation that says the actual GM has to cut him. I have no idea why they would keep him.

    Cutting bowe does what exactly?

Opens up a roster spot. It would be one thing if he was injured (he was previously) but he was a healthy scratch against Oakland. If he's not good enough to make the active roster with THIS group of WR's, they need to move on from him.

    Roster spot for....?

Browns are rated worst in the league in tackling and worst in the league in stopping the run. The main culprit for this comedy are the Bobbsey twins in the middle...Kirksby and the overhyped, over rated, washed up Carlos Dansby. Rewatched most of the game and it's just astounding how many times he misreads his cue and gets sucked in to the wrong side of the line.

    And Mingo...SMDH on Mingo. Horrible.

Their LB's are brutal. A couple of them could be considered "solid" but this team hasn't had an "impact/game changing" type LB in a VERY long time. Absolutely no pass rush and there is no terrorizing "thumper" in the middle at ILB.

I don't know who they would bring in but I'd have to think there's a player out there that could at least make the active roster.

We already have rookies we've invested 3rd rounds in not making the active roster. Cutting bowe does nothing.

Listening to Rizzo's show and LOL at Casey...the only clown of the bunch that wants Josh frieking McCown to start at quarterback. How many people on this site thinks Derek Carr has a brighter upside than Manziel? To countless to mention. All that inpsite of the facts that Manziel, as a freshman and sophomore had better ratig than Carr did when he was a junior and senior. Go figger. Moreover, Manziel posted his numbers {talking passing only) against the LSU's. Alabamas. Georgias, South Carolinas of the world wheras Carr did his stuff against powerhouses Idaho, UNLV, Nevada, Hawaii, New Mex State, et smell.

OIC do you have a contingency that doesn't want to see a potential all pro qback play the frickin game.

How do their high school, junior high, pee wee, and backyard football stats compare?

    1. This is what Footwedge said about Manziel's performance last year.

    2. Now he's saying he'll be better than Carr due to being a better college quarterback.

Dude is a logical fallacy wearing human skin.

His stupidity knows no bounds. I've never seen anything like it in all my days of the internet. You can toss Iggy and Tearnan in there too.

Footwedge's stupidity and inability to exercise even basic logic is the gift that keeps on giving.

I'd gladly take Carr today with his lesser junior and senior college numbers straight up for "potential all pro qback" Manziel.

Oh I'm sure you would. You like playing long shots don't you? Not me. I would rather play the favorite.

Yesterday Bryan Billick was on the show and he said Browns are idiots in running the business model of "let's wait till the season's ruined, (and it will be ruined) before we play Johnny" He said that if that scenario plays out and Manziel plays lights out, it doesn't mean anything because the season is already shot. He's right.

Also...why is it that all these shitty teams (just like the Browns) last year and this year are playing their top qb draft pick....but not Cueball? Weren't these other teams "tasked to win". LOL.

First order of business on Monday...Farmer needs to can the head coach for being a stubborn mule. And the second order of business is Haslam canning Farmer for all the shit he's done wrong.

Can we please remember this when you get excited about a hail mary that Johnny completes in December, and you tell us how he is the best qb ever?
  • BR1986FB
I'd hardly refer to Carr as a "long shot" assuming you think Manziel is a "sure thing." Both are far from it.
  • BR1986FB
Sounds like they are putting in some special packages for Manziel for this game.

Where have I seen this story before?
  • SportsAndLady
    Special packages...Jesus Christ.

Just fucking start manziel and treat him like a quarterback in the NFL and not some "wildcat" option at Oregon.

Option A: start manziel, fanbase applauds move, good move for short and long term

Option B: start McCown, fanbase questions you, not a good move for the short or long term, we'll mix in manziel for "special packages"

Browns coaching logic: yeah we'll go with option B.
  • lhslep134
    You forgot Option C.

Option C: Hand the starting reins to the QB you just signed through the 2016 season. Austin Davis*

Given the lack of any sort of clear plan by the front office, options B or C don't surprise me even though Option A is the most logical.

    * I can't f'ing believe we signed our 3rd stringer through next season. [facepalm]
  • HitsRus
The glaring thing about he Raiders WIN...IN OUR HOUSE...PLAYING a 1:OO game in an EASTERN TIME ZONE where they haven't won since 2009......is the opposite directions the two franchises are going. SMH. Play Johnny Football and let's be done with this shit once and forever.

I cant wait to see which Rookie QB we take in the first round is going sit on the bench behind the mighty Austin Davis next season. You KNOW that is exactly what is going to happen.
